There are about 3709 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Thailand. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Assessed the efficacy of deferasirox in patients with non-transfusion dependent thalassemia based on change in liver iron concentration from baseline after 52 weeks of treatment. Provided further assessment of the long-term efficacy and safety of deferasirox in NTDT patients with iron overload (LIC ≥ 5 mg Fe/g liver dw and SF ≥ 300 ng/mL) for up to 260 weeks.
The purpose of this study is to compare efficacy and safety of combination of propofol and midazolam with meperidine versus midazolam and meperidine for ambulatory ERCP
The purpose of this study is to demonstrate noninferiority (a new treatment is equivalent to standard treatment) in terms of the percentage of patients who have plasma human immunodeficiency virus-type 1 (HIV-1) ribonucleic acid (RNA) levels less than 400 copies per mL after 48 weeks of randomized treatment with tenofovir disoproxil fumarate/emtricitabine/rilpivirine (TDF/FTC/RPV) versus TDF/FTC/efavirenz (TDF/FTC/EFV).
Meta-analysis of previous studies have shown that melatonin is a beneficial adjutant for reducing chemotherapy-induced toxicity; however no randomized, double-blind, placebo controlled trials have been conducted. This study evaluates the effect of melatonin in improving quality of life and reducing chemotherapy-induced toxicity in advanced cancer patients. This is a multi-center, randomized, double-blind, placebo controlled trial conducted in patients with histologically proven advanced non small cell lung, breast, head and neck or sarcoma cancer. Mixed-block randomization, stratified by center and treatment scheme is used to divide eligible patients into three groups: melatonin 20 mg, 10 mg or matched placebo. The patients are required to take the studied drugs at night (after 21.00 pm) on the first day of chemotherapy and continue daily for six months. Standard treatment is chemotherapy according to each center's standard protocol. Study endpoints are QOL (FACT), adverse event frequency (CTCAE), oxidative stress status, melatonin level, and survival.
The purpose of this study is to further enhance the existing knowledge regarding the side effects of belimumab when given with other lupus medicines to adults with active systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). This study mainly focuses on collecting information on serious events that are not that common or may only be seen with long-term treatment. These events include death, serious infections and other infections of interest, cancers, serious mental health problems, including depression and suicide, and serious infusion and hypersensitivity reactions. This study is being done to help understand if treatment with belimumab increases the risk for these types of events. This study will also see if patients receiving belimumab with other lupus medicines can reduce their use of steroids, such as prednisone, over 1 year.
This retrospective, observational study will assess the real world treatment out comes in the management of patients with chronic hepatitis C. No prospective ass essment or procedure with patients during this study will be conducted. Data wil l be collected from patient medical records of the year 2000-2011.
This retrospective study will evaluate the association of biomarkers and the treatment response of patients with chronic hepatitis B, who have completed therapy with Pegasys (peginterferon alfa-2a) ± lamivudine. For the analysis stored serum samples obtained from patients will be used; no actual patients are involved.
The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of a regimen containing elvitegravir/cobicistat/emtricitabine/tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (E/C/F/TDF) versus ritonavir (RTV)-boosted atazanavir (ATV/r) plus emtricitabine/tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (FTC/TDF) in HIV-1 infected, antiretroviral treatment-naive adult women.
Psoriatic nails can significantly affect a quality of life of patients. Psoriasis affects both nail matrix and nail bed. Pitting, leukonychia and red spots in lunula indicate a defect in the nail matrix. Psoriasis can change the nail bed as the results in onycholysis, discoloration, splinter hemorrhage and subungual hyperkeratosis. The main treatment of psoriatic nails is using topical high- potent steroids however topical steroids are limited their ability to penetrate deep nail matrix or nail bed which are the main pathology. Use of such a treatment can lead to skin atrophy and report in the case of "Disappearing digits". Previous studies of steroid injection in the treatment of psoriatic nails show satisfactory results without any serious permanent adverse effects. At present, there is no comparison study between intralesional steroid and ultrapotent topical steroid for the treatment of psoriatic nails. The purpose of the study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of intralesional triamcinolone comparing to 0.05% clobetasol ointment in the treatment of psoriatic nails.
This two-cohort, open-label, multicenter study will assess the safety, efficacy and tolerability of trastuzumab emtansine in participants with HER2-positive locally advanced breast cancer (LABC) or metastatic breast cancer (mBC) who have received prior anti-HER2 and chemotherapy-based treatment. Participants in Cohort 1 will be drawn from the general participant population; Cohort 2 will include only Asian participants.
