Start date: June 4, 2010
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study in heathy people is to investigate the safety, toleration and time course of PF-03654764 in the blood, following multiple doses given by mouth together with fexofenadine.

NCT ID: NCT01297491 Completed - Clinical trials for Non-small Cell Lung Cancer

Safety and Efficacy of BKM120 in Patients With Metastatic Non-small Cell Lung Cancer

BASALT-1
Start date: May 2011
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this two-stage phase II study is to assess the efficacy of BKM120, as measured by determining the progression free survival (PFS), in patients with pretreated metastatic Non-small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) that exhibits PI3K pathway activation. BKM120 will be investigated in two groups of NSCLC patients according to the histology of the cancer: squamous and non-squamous.

NCT ID: NCT01297088 Completed - Diagnostic Imaging Clinical Trials

PET/CT (Positron Emission Tomography / Computed Tomography) Investigations With BAY86-9596 (18F) (300 MBq) Following Single Intravenous Administration in Patients With Cancer or Inflammations.

Start date: May 2011
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The study will be conducted as an open label, single-center, single dose and biodistribution study in patients with cancer or inflammation. 56 patients will be selected among the patients undergoing the screening examination conducted within 3 weeks before drug administration. Single dose of the study drug will be administrated in a dose of 300 MBq to these patients. The follow-up period contains the end-of-study telephone interview 5-8 days following the treatment. Key measurements are the PET/CT image acquisitions within a time frame of about 2 hours after the single injection of BAY86-9596.

NCT ID: NCT01290406 Withdrawn - Endometrial Cancer Clinical Trials

BEZ235 Trial in Patients With Advanced Endometrial Carcinoma

Start date: March 2012
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is an open label and single arm study to investigate the safety and efficacy of BEZ235 in adult women with endometrial carcinoma whose disease progressed (or recurred) while on or after first-line antineoplastic treatment for advanced endometrial carcinoma.

NCT ID: NCT01289041 Completed - Clinical trials for Advanced Endometrial Cancer

BKM120 as Second-line Therapy for Advanced Endometrial Cancer

Start date: February 2011
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is a prospective multi-center, open-label, single arm, Phase II study to investigate the safety and efficacy of BKM120 in patients with advanced endometrial carcinoma whose disease progressed on or after a first-line antineoplastic treatment. Patients will receive BKM120 orally at a dose of 100 mg/day. Availability of tumor specimen (either archival tissue or a fixed fresh biopsy) is mandatory for assessment of the PI3K (Phosphatidylinositol 3 Kinase (PI3K) pathway activation status.

NCT ID: NCT01287975 Completed - Stroke Clinical Trials

Brain Computer Interface (BCI) Technology for Stroke Hand Rehabilitation

ARTS-BCI
Start date: January 2011
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study is carried out to find out if Brain Computer Interface (BCI) technology or BCI technology coupled with robotic technology using a Haptic Knob will benefit patients with arm paralysis after stroke. BCI uses EEG-based motor imagery to detect user's thinking abilities which control motor movement. Haptic Knob is a novel robotic device, which specifically trains the wrist and hand with intensive repetitions in a supported environment.

NCT ID: NCT01285609 Completed - Clinical trials for Lung Cancer - Non Small Cell Squamous

Phase 3 Trial in Squamous Non Small Cell Lung Cancer Subjects Comparing Ipilimumab Versus Placebo in Addition to Paclitaxel and Carboplatin

Start date: January 16, 2011
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of the study is to determine whether Ipilimumab plus Paclitaxel and Carboplatin will extend the lives of patients with squamous only non small cell lung cancer more than placebo plus Paclitaxel and Carboplatin.

NCT ID: NCT01283516 Completed - Clinical trials for Tumors Characterized by Genetic Abnormalities of ALK

A Dose Escalation/Expansion Study of LDK378 in Patients With Tumors Characterized by Genetic Abnormalities in Anaplastic Lymphoma Kinase

Start date: January 24, 2011
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This study assessed the safety and efficacy of LDK378 in adult patients with genetic abnormalities in anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK).

NCT ID: NCT01282645 Withdrawn - Craniotomy Clinical Trials

Case Series to Evaluate Patient Specific Implants (PSI) in Polyether Ether Ketone (PEEK) Performance After 2 Years

Start date: July 2011
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

The primary objective of this retrospective study is to evaluate the percentage of patients with device related adverse events (infection, rejection, dislocation, fracture of the implant) in the first 24 months after implantation.

NCT ID: NCT01281254 Terminated - Ovarian Cancer Clinical Trials

AMG 386 (Trebananib) in Ovarian Cancer (TRINOVA-2)

Start date: April 18, 2011
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

To determine if AMG 386 plus pegylated liposomal doxorubicin (PLD) is superior to placebo plus PLD as measured by progression-free survival (PFS) The hypothesis for this study is that AMG 386 plus PLD will prolong PFS compared to placebo plus PLD in women with recurrent partially platinum sensitive or resistant epithelial ovarian, primary peritoneal or fallopian tube cancer.
