NCT ID: NCT04962373 Recruiting - Suicide, Attempted Clinical Trials

Brief Admission for Adolescents Who Self-harm

Start date: September 1, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

There is still no consensus on how to manage suicidal behavior in youth with recurrent self-harm at times when the risk for suicide is imminent (1). Brief Admission (BA) has evolved as a promising crisis intervention for adults with self-harm (2). The characteristics of BA is different from other types of admission, being focused on prevention through increased autonomy and self-care, based on structured and voluntary brief self-referrals to hospital (3). As a result of a randomized controlled trial, BA is since January 2019, continuously offered to adults with self-harm at risk for suicide in Skåne (4). Parallel to this clinical trial, the method has been adapted to work in a psychiatric setting for adolescents. At present 24 adolescents have access to the method in Skåne. Clinical experiences from staff are promising, however, the lived experiences have not been collected in a standardized way. The aim of the present study is to gather information on how BA in its present, standardized form works for adolescents, their loved ones and staff working at the ward providing BA. This will be done through semi-structured interviews with: 1. Adolescents using BA and their loved ones 2. Staff working at the ward providing BA. Data will be analyzed with qualitative analysis (5, 6). The ultimate aim is to use these results to optimize the current standardized version of BA for adolescents in order to test in a randomized clinical trial.

NCT ID: NCT04961996 Recruiting - Early Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

A Study Evaluating the Efficacy and Safety of Adjuvant Giredestrant Compared With Physician's Choice of Adjuvant Endocrine Monotherapy in Participants With Estrogen Receptor-Positive, HER2-Negative Early Breast Cancer (lidERA Breast Cancer)

Start date: August 27, 2021
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This is a Phase III, global, randomized, open-label, multicenter, study evaluating the efficacy and safety of adjuvant giredestrant compared with endocrine therapy of physician's choice in participants with medium- and high-risk Stage I-III histologically confirmed estrogen receptor (ER)-positive and human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-negative early breast cancer. In addition, an open-label exploratory substudy will explore the safety and efficacy of giredestrant in combination with abemaciclib in a subset of the primary study population.

NCT ID: NCT04961333 Recruiting - Long COVID-19 Clinical Trials

Internet-based Multidisciplinary Rehabilitation for Longterm COVID-19 Syndrome

COVID-19
Start date: April 23, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Internet-based multidisciplinary interventions will be offered to participants suffering from longterm COVID-19 syndrome. Data will be collected by internet platform at Karolinska Institutet (BASS) before, after rehabilitation and at follow-up after 6 months. Both self-scored questionnaires and physical tests performed at home will be collected to understand the symptomatology, functioning and activity level. Rehabilitation during 8 weeks period will be given in groups as face-to-group, pre-recorded film sessions and by individual approach, the participants will use ExorLive app for physical activity.

NCT ID: NCT04956107 Recruiting - Colo-rectal Cancer Clinical Trials

Psychological distREsS hipEc oR pelVic Exenteration

PRESERVE
Start date: January 25, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this study is to describe type and extent of psychological distress (adverse effects) in patients undergoing surgery for colorectal cancer with peritoneal metastases and after surgery for colorectal cancer with involvement of the urinary bladder.

NCT ID: NCT04955587 Recruiting - Covid19 Clinical Trials

A Longitudinal Study on Longstanding Complicated Fatigue

Start date: August 24, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

The purpose of the study is to investigate if there are common biopsychosocial vulnerability factors for developing and maintaining fatigue, regardless of the diagnosis. The investigators also believe that subgroups differ in terms of these factors. Participating patients with ME/CFS, burnout syndrome and post-covid fatigue complete a web form at inclusion and after 1, 2, 4, 6, 12, 18 and 24 months. There is no upper limit for the number of participants in the web survey. 150 participants are asked to submit blood samples at a local laboratory in connection with the questionnaires for analysis of inflammatory markers and one urine sample for analysis of nutritional markers. Two control groups are included, 150 patients with rheumatoid arthritis and 50 healthy individuals. The longitudinal design makes it possible to investigate how inflammatory markers, nutritional status, symptom burden, health related quality of life co-vary over time and how work ability and sick leave is affected.

NCT ID: NCT04951622 Recruiting - Myasthenia Gravis Clinical Trials

A Study of Nipocalimab Administered to Adults With Generalized Myasthenia Gravis

Start date: July 15, 2021
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of nipocalimab compared to placebo in participants with generalized myasthenia gravis (gMG).

NCT ID: NCT04945460 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Hypertension, Pulmonary

A Study of Sotatercept for the Treatment of Cpc-PH Due to HFpEF (MK-7962-007/A011-16)

CADENCE
Start date: December 29, 2021
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is a Phase 2, double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of sotatercept versus placebo in adults with Cpc-PH due to HFpEF. The objective of this study is to evaluate the efficacy, safety and tolerability of sotatercept versus placebo in adults with Cpc-PH due to HFpEF. Efficacy is measured by change from baseline in pulmonary vascular resistance (PVR, primary endpoint) and 6-minute walk distance (6MWD, key secondary endpoint).

NCT ID: NCT04945395 Recruiting - Stroke Clinical Trials

Effect of Functional Electric Stimulation for Recovery of Dorsiflexion After Stroke

Start date: August 15, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this project is to investigate the effect of functional electrical stimulation (FES) for recovery of dorsiflexion after stroke. It will be led from the University Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Danderyd Hospital (RMDS) in collaboration with the MoveAbility Lab at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. Patients referred to RMDS for inpatient rehabilitation early after hemiparetic stroke will be included. The overall aim is to explore how 4 weeks of training incorporating the FES-system (L300 Go System ® Bioness, Ottobock) effect function of the lower extremity, gait function and mobility when compared to conventional training only, in the subacute stage after stroke.

NCT ID: NCT04943796 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

A Study to Learn About the Occurrence of ADHD in Adults With Mental Conditions and Their Quality of Life

LANDSCAPE
Start date: November 6, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The main aim of the study is to find out how frequently adults with at least one psychiatric condition have ADHD (but have not been diagnosed with ADHD before) and to describe the quality of life of these adults who have been diagnosed with ADHD. To find out how often ADHD is not diagnosed in these adults could provide awareness about this condition and could help to improve preventing underdiagnosis.
