There are about 8563 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Sweden. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This study will examine the efficacy and safety of ReFacto AF in patients with severe and moderately severe hemophilia A undergoing elective major surgery when administered by either bolus injections (BI) or continuous infusion (CI).
The purpose of this study is to evaluate whether once daily treatment for up to 8 weeks of calcipotriol plus betamethasone dipropionate gel is more effective than twice daily treatment of calcipotriol scalp solution in patients with scalp psoriasis. The primary outcome is patients with clear or minimal disease after 8 weeks treatment. Further the occurrence of relapse and rebound after end of treatment in patients with clear or minimal disease will be investigated.
This study is being carried out to see if adding ZD1839 to other standard supportive care is more effective than standard supportive care alone for the treatment of patients with NSCLC whose disease has recurred after previous chemotherapy treatment.
Adults who are taking opioid therapy for persistent non-cancer pain and have resulting opioid-induced bowel dysfunction (OBD) will be randomized (1:1) to alvimopan or placebo. The primary objective of this Phase 3 long-term safety study is to compare alvimopan with placebo for safety and tolerability in the treatment of OBD. Participants will be required to attend 8 clinic visits over approximately 1 year.
This study was a multicentre, double-blind, randomised, placebo-controlled parallel group study consisting of 4 visits over a period of 6 months. The primary variable was to assess theefficacy of esomeprazole 40 mg orally qd (E40) or esomeprazole 20 mg orally qd (E20) versus placebo orally qd after 6 months of treatment for the prevention of relapse of upper GI symptoms associated with NSAID use, including COX-2 selective NSAIDs, in patients receiving daily NSAID therapy.
This study was a randomised, double-blind, parallel-group and placebo controlled study comparing the efficacy of esomeprazole 40 mg orally qd vs placebo and esomeprazole 20 mg orally qd vs placebo when given to patients on continuous use of NSAIDs, including COX-2 selective NSAIDs, for a treatment period of 4 weeks for relief of upper GI symptoms.
This study will allow determination of the pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamics of SB424323 in a relevant population. The data from this study will be used along with other data to aid in choosing the most appropriate dose for the later phase study.
A Randomized, Double-Blind, Dose-Ranging, Dose Comparison-Controlled Trial to Determine the Safety and Efficacy of BMS-298585 in Subjects with Type 2 Diabetes
The purpose of this study is to see if rosuvastatin helps to reduce the number of heart attacks, strokes and cardiovascular deaths in patients undergoing haemodialysis.
The purpose of this study is to assess the effect of rimonabant 20 mg on HDL (high density lipoprotein) cholesterol and on TG (triglycerides) plasma levels over a period of one year when prescribed with a hypocaloric diet (600 kcal deficit per day) in abdominally obese patients with atherogenic dyslipidemia (low HDL and/or high TG plasma levels). The secondary objectives are to evaluate specific metabolic parameters, visceral fat (in selected sites), safety and tolerability of rimonabant 20 mg.
