The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of a novel therapy for treatment of migraine, pain reduction and relief of associated symptoms during ongoing migraine attacks, and presence of a preventive effect post treatment.
Evaluation of the efficacy of laser-based endomicroscopy as a complement to white-light colonoscopy and chromoendoscopy for early detection of colon dysplasia in patients with PSC-IBD. White-light colonoscopy is a routinely used procedure in colorectal cancer surveillance programs. However, it does not permit detection of early dysplastic lesions. Chromoendoscopy by applying a dye (indigo-carmine) through the colonoscope helps to identify flat lesions but is not suitable for accurate endoscopic diagnosis of dysplasia and intraepithelial neoplasia Under this aim we will perform a clinical study evaluating a newly developed technique allowing for in vivo confocal microscopy assessment of the colon mucosa using laser-based endomicroscopy together with intravenous administration of fluorescein (FITC).
The aims of the APRICOT study are: - To establish the incidence of severe critical events in children undergoing anesthesia in Europe. - To describe the differences in paediatric anaesthesia practice throughout Europe. - To study the potential impact of this variability on the occurrence of severe critical events (Laryngospasm, Bronchospasm, Pulmonary aspiration, Drug error, Anaphylaxis, Cardiovascular instability, Neurological damage, Perianaesthetic cardiac arrest and postanaesthetic Stridor).

Primary Objective: To determine the efficacy (as assessed by progression-free survival [PFS]) of vandetanib when compared to placebo in participants with differentiated thyroid cancer that is either locally advanced or metastatic who are refractory or unsuitable for radioiodine therapy. Secondary Objectives: - To determine the efficacy of vandetanib when compared to placebo in this participant population as assessed by efficacy variables including duration of response (DOR), objective response rate (ORR), change in tumour size (TS) and overall survival (OS). - To evaluate the pharmacokinetics (PK) of vandetanib in this participant population and potentially investigate any influence of participant demography and pathophysiology on vandetanib PK. - To demonstrate an improvement in time to worsening of pain (TWP) in participants treated with vandetanib when compared to placebo in this participant population. - To evaluate the safety and tolerability of vandetanib treatment in this participant population.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of specific neck/shoulder muscle exercises on pain, function, biochemistry and psychological factors in women suffering chronic neck/shoulder pain.
The study is a phase 1/2 study in two parts. In part 1, the primary objective is to assess the pharmacokinetics of UC1010 when administered subcutaneously as a single dose to healthy women. The safety and tolerability of UC1010 is also evaluated in study part 1. In part 2, the primary objective is to assess the pharmacodynamic effect of UC1010 on premenstrual symptoms in women with Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD) when given during the luteal phase of the menstrual cycle. The pharmacodynamic effect is evaluated through the patients' daily ratings of premenstrual symptoms. In both study parts, two active treatment groups are compared to one placebo group.
