There are about 8563 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Sweden. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This is an open-label, multicentric, international, phase II trial testing aromatase inhibitors in combination with durvalumab in patients with CD8+ T cell infiltration (>10% CD8+ T cells in the tumor). The trial includes two sequences: The first part of the treatment will consist in 4-6 weeks treatment with immune-attractants; in the second part, CD8+ patients will receive 6 months of durvalumab combined with exemestane.
This study investigates the effects of Valaciclovir treatment to individuals with Alzheimer's disease or Mild Cognitive Impairment of Alzheimer's Disease Type. It is an open pilot trial where 36 participants will receive 4 weeks of Valaciclovir treatment. Participants will be investigated using different measures before and after the treatment period.
The primary objective is to evaluate the efficacy of CCX168 (avacopan) to induce and sustain remission in patients with active anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (ANCA)-associated vasculitis (AAV), when used in combination with cyclophosphamide followed by azathioprine, or in combination with rituximab.
CVD-REAL is a multinational, observational cohort study in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus evaluating the comparative effectiveness of initiating treatment with a sodium-glucose co-transporter-2 (SGLT-2) inhibitor versus another glucose-lowering drug. This study will compare the risk of all-cause mortality and clinically relevant cardiovascular (CV) outcomes respectively in patients who are new users of SGLT-2 inhibitors with those who are new users of other glucose-lowering drugs. CVD-REAL is aiming to collect data from approximately 4 million patients overall, from twelve countries across three major world regions.
PROSPECTIVE COHORT EVALUATION OF NEUROCAP® In the Treatment of symptomatic Neuroma (PROTECT Neuro) This post-market surveillance study is conducted to provide post market surveillance information regarding long-term performance and ease of use of the Polyganics nerve capping device (NEUROCAP®) for reduction of the development of peripheral symptomatic end-neuroma.
The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the safety, tolerability, and efficacy of AR101 through oral immunotherapy (OIT) in peanut-allergic children and adults who have completed the ARC003 study.
Sudden cardiac death is a major health problem in the western world. In Europe alone nearly 300 000 patients are affected annually. The majority of victims suffering from an Out-of-Hospital Cardiac Arrest (OHCA have an initial cardiac rhythm that can be treated by means of defibrillation. In most emergency medical systems (EMS) time to defibrillation is too long and survival averages 10 %.However, when laymen operated Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) are used within the first minutes, 7 out of 10 may survive. The aim of "The Scandinavian AED and Mobile Bystander Activation" (SAMBA) trial is to evaluate if a Mobile Phone Positioning system and a smartphone application will increase the proportions of patients with an attached Automated External Defibrillator (AED) before arrival of the Emergence Medical System (EMS). Mobile phone technology and a smartphone application will be used identify and recruit nearby CPR-trained lay people and automated external defibrillators (AEDs) to patients suffering out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA). The system is currently running in Stockholm Sweden and in the Gothenburg region.
Primary Objective: To demonstrate the benefit of isatuximab in combination with pomalidomide and low-dose dexamethasone in the prolongation of Progression Free Survival (PFS) as compared to pomalidomide and low-dose dexamethasone in participants with refractory or relapsed and refractory multiple myeloma (MM). Secondary Objectives: - To evaluate the Overall Response Rate (ORR) as per International Myeloma Working Group (IMWG) criteria in each arm. - To compare the Overall Survival (OS) between the two arms. - To evaluate the Time To Progression (TTP) in each arm. - To evaluate the PFS in high risk cytogenetic population in each arm. - To evaluate the Duration of Response (DOR) in each arm. - To evaluate the safety in both treatment arms. - To determine the Pharmacokinetic profile of isatuximab in combination with pomalidomide. - To evaluate the immunogenicity of isatuximab. - To assess disease-specific and generic health-related quality of life (HRQL), disease and treatment-related symptoms, health state utility, and health status.
Diet plays an important role in relation to prevention of type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease and certain cancers. Studies have shown that diets with high whole-grain content could decrease the risk of these lifestyle related diseases and in Sweden the national dietary guidelines recommends whole-grain based instead of refined cereal products. It is, however, not clear whether whole-grain from wheat and rye share similar protective effects since there are large differences in amount and quality of dietary fibre and associated bioactive compounds. The aim of this study is to evaluate the impact of a wholegrain diet with low- or high lignan content on different cardiometabolic risk factors with the primary endpoint being blood glucose levels after 2h oral glucose tolerance test in men with metabolic syndrome or sign thereof.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of olaparib versus enzalutamide or abiraterone acetate in subjects with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer who have failed prior treatment with a new hormonal agent and have homologous recombination repair gene mutations.
