Randomized Controlled Trial Intervention With New Nordic DIet in Women With GestatiOnal Diabetes Mellitus: iNDIGO

The study evaluates whether the New Nordic Diet, compared to routine care, will improve glucose control, among women developing gestational diabetes mellitus during pregnancy. Originally, a 10 wk intervention with qualified counseling on New Nordic Diet was planned, and effects on glycosylated haemoglobin A (HbA1c) at gestational age 37 weeks was planned as main outcome. Recruitment started in spring 2020 but had to be halted due to covid-19. Instead, we now conduct a more comprehensive version of the study, with a more intensive intervention consisting of distributed food bags plus dietary counselling for two weeks, and with continuous glucose monitoring during these two weeks to measure main outcome. This is more sensitive to small changes than is HbA1c. With this shorter and more intensive intervention we believe we can address our original hypothesis yet adjust to impacts of the covid-19 situation on the population and health care system.

In this longitudinal prospective cohort study including young people with anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction, the investigators will evaluate if poor sensorimotor function at baseline can predict 1) graft rupture 2) the risk of contra-lateral ACL injury and 3) failure to return to sport/previous activity level within 3 years following ACL reconstruction.

Study to Learn More About the Safety and Effectiveness of the Drug VITRAKVI During Routine Use in Patients With TRK Fusion Cancer Which is Locally Advanced or Spread From the Place Where it Started to Other Places in the Body

In this observational study researcher want to learn more about the effectiveness of drug VITRAKVI (generic name: larotrectinib) and how well the drug is tolerated during routine use in patients with TRK fusion cancer which is locally advanced or spread from the place where it started to other places in the body. TRK fusion cancer is a term used to describe a variety of common and rare cancers that are caused by a change to the NTRK (Neurotrophic Tyrosine Kinase) gene called a fusion. During this fusion, an NTRK gene joins together, or fuses, with a different gene. This joining results in the activation of certain proteins (TRK fusion proteins), which can cause cancer cells to multiply and form a tumor. VITRAKVI is an approved drug that blocks the action of the NTRK gene fusion. This study will enroll adult and paediatric patients suffering from a solid tumor with NTRK gene fusion for whom the decision to treat their disease with VITRAKVI has been made by their treating physicians. During the study, patients' medical information such as treatment information with VITRAKVI, other medication or treatments, changes in disease status and other health signs and symptoms will be collected within the normal medical care by the treating doctor. Participants will be observed over a period from 24 to 60 months.

Effect of Simvastatin on the Prognosis of Primary Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC)

This is a randomized, double-blind, placebo controlled multicenter study. A total of 700 patients will be included. The study will include patients with primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) for daily intake of 40 mg simvastatin/placebo for 5 years. The aim is to study effect of prognosis of PSC by long term intake of simvastatin. Outcome measures are death, liver transplantation, cholangiocarcinoma or bleeding from esophageal varices. Subjects will be randomized (1:1) between Simvastatin and placebo.

Asthma self-management is dependent on support and education. To facilitate self-management have we developed and CE-mark a novel digital self-management system called Asthmatuner (Medituner AB, Sweden).The primary aim of this program is to evaluate if self-management with Asthmatuner improves asthma control more than traditional self-management. RCT with two arms, Asthmatuner or traditional asthma management, during at least 6 months. Thereafter, the study continues to be observational from 6- 12 months. Eligible patients with doctor's diagnosed asthma that are managed within the municipality of Tiohundra and Astrid Lindgren Children's Hospital will be invited to participate. Approximately 800 patients, adults and schoolchildren of the age of 6 years will be recruited.Outcomes: Asthma Control Test, number of exacerbations, unplanned healthcare visits, Medicine Adherence Report Scale and lung function.

Predicting Colorectal Cancer - Tissue Samples to Evaluate Tumour Characteristics and Treatment Response

All adult patients with colorectal cancer presenting within the Sahlgrenska University Hospital or treated at any time at Sahlgrenska University Hospital are eligible and will be asked to participate. We already have biopsies taken at surgery in patients that receive surgery, but this study will include all patients and the biopsies will be taken during endoscopy for diagnosis of the primary tumour. Biopsies will then be taken during follow-up exams prior surgery but after neoadjuvant treatment. Biopsies will also be taken during surgery and in cases where surgery is not necessary biopsies will be taken regularly during follow-up exams. Blood samples and in relevant cases urinary samples and mouth swabs will be taken at all timepoints when biopsies are taken. If it is not possible to take biopsies prior treatment blood samples will still be drawn.

The investigators will also evaluate whether implementation of the program has an impact on the participating students, regarding both their mental health and their success in finishing junior high school with passing grades.
