Awareness, Care & Treatment In Obesity Management - An International Observation Among Teens (ACTION Teens)

ACTION Teens is a multinational cross-sectional survey-based study. The study consists of a quantitative online survey to be conducted among three groups of respondents in ten countries worldwide. The respondent population will include Adolescents Living with Obesity (ALwO), Caregivers of ALwO, and HCPs treating adolescents who have obesity. The goal of this study is to provide insights to drive awareness around the needs of adolescents living with obesity and their caregivers, as well as to identify key areas of misalignment between adolescents, their caregivers and the HCPs involved in obesity treatment and management. ACTION Teens is designed to generate evidence to identify and address these challenges on both a global and local level, extending the insights from the previously conducted ACTION-IO study.

Change in Management Following Bronchoscopy in Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant Patients With Pulmonary Infiltrates

Hematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT) is a modality that is increasingly utilized to treat various haematological disorders with a varying degree of success. From 2006 to 2019 use of HSCT worldwide has increased from 50,417 to an estimated 1.5 million. Disease relapse, graft versus host disease (GVHD) and infections are the leading causes of morbidity and mortality in patients with HSCT. Pulmonary complications, in particular, are common in patients with HSCT, and the diagnostic approach and management of these complications remain a challenge. FOB is one of the standard and least invasive diagnostic modality for these patients. However, the diagnostic yield and change in clinical decision making in those studies have been variable. Furthermore, all these studies were retrospective, with one exception. The investigators designed an observational study to understand the rate of change in clinical decision making following Fiberoptic bronchoscopy (FOB). The investigators also looked at the yield of FOB and characteristics associated with a positive diagnostic yield.

To maximise the accessibility and benefit of PARP inhibitors to eligible patients, it is essential to know the prevalence of HRD in women with advanced high-grade serous or endometrioid ovarian cancer. Presently, the prevalence data for HRD are available from selected geographies only and range from 31% to 50%. Furthermore, the risk factors associated with HRD and clinical characteristics of patients with HRD need exploration for region-specific differences. In the present study, we will estimate the region- and country-specific prevalence of HRD in women with stage III or IV high-grade serous or endometrioid ovarian, primary peritoneal, and/or fallopian tube cancer and associated risk factors with clinical characteristics in Asia-Pacific countries, Latin America, Africa, Russia, Australia, and Middle East countries. The findings of the study will help the oncologists in optimal patient selection and clinical decision-making for the first-line maintenance of patients with HGSOC

Most of the available studies that are relevant to motor rehabilitation for children with dyskinetic type of cerebral palsy are few and are comprised of small numbers of children. Further researches are necessary to explore new conservative therapeutic protocols and techniques that should contribute to control disorganized movement, handle postural asymmetry, maintain postural stability, and improve gait performance. Therefore, the objective of this study was to examine the effectiveness of soft orthosis and strapping system on balance, and gait performance in children with dyskinetic cerebral palsy.
