NCT ID: NCT01457651 Completed - Hypoxemia Clinical Trials

Comparison of Four Different Recruitment Maneuvers in Patients After Coronary Surgery

RECR-CABG
Start date: March 2010
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The risk of respiratory failure after cardiac surgery is high, and it may result in many complications. The maneuver of alveolar recruitment may improve the oxygen transport in the human organism. The investigators compare three different types of alveolar recruitment in patient after cardiac surgery, to reveal which one is better.

NCT ID: NCT01457352 Completed - Spasticity Clinical Trials

Efficacy and Safety of SPARC0921 in Subjects With Spasticity

Start date: November 14, 2012
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to assess whether SPARC0921 demonstrate efficacy and safety in the treatment of spasticity.

NCT ID: NCT01456936 Completed - Smoking Cessation Clinical Trials

Study Evaluating The Safety And Efficacy Of Varenicline and Bupropion For Smoking Cessation In Subjects With And Without A History Of Psychiatric Disorders

EAGLES
Start date: November 2011
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

This study is being conducted to assess varenicline and bupropion as aids to smoking cessation treatment in subjects with and without an established diagnosis of major psychiatric disorder and to characterize the neuropsychiatric safety profile (pre-specified adverse events (AEs) in both of these populations).

NCT ID: NCT01456325 Completed - Clinical trials for Non-Squamous Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

A Study of Onartuzumab (MetMAb) in Combination With Tarceva (Erlotinib) in Participants With Met Diagnostic-Positive Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer Who Have Received Chemotherapy For Advanced or Metastatic Disease (MetLung)

Start date: January 2012
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This randomized, multicenter, double-blind, placebo-controlled study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of onartuzumab (MetMAb) in combination with Tarceva (erlotinib) in participants with incurable non-small cell lung cancer identified to be Met diagnostic-positive. Participants will be randomized to receive either onartuzumab (MetMAb) or placebo in combination with erlotinib. Anticipated time on study treatment is until disease progression or unacceptable toxicity occurs.

NCT ID: NCT01455766 Completed - Pneumonectomy Clinical Trials

Volumetric Monitoring in Major Lung Surgery

EVLW-PNEUMO
Start date: June 2005
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

The hypothesis of this observational single-center clinical study was to explore the volumetric hemodynamic monitoring in the perioperative period in major and risky thoracic intervention. The investigators monitored the changes in the volumes of blood in the central vessels and heart chambers as well as a volume of fluid in pulmonary tissue (i. e. extravascular lung water).

NCT ID: NCT01455402 Completed - Clinical trials for Respiratory Syncytial Virus, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, Congestive Heart Failure

An Observational Study to Assess RSV-associated Illness in Adults With COPD and/or CHF

CD-1089
Start date: July 2010
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

The primary objective of this observational study is to determine the incidence of medically attended (inpatient or outpatient) acute respiratory illnesses or events leading to worsening cardiorespiratory status (ie, acute exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease [AECOPD] or worsening CHF) associated with RSV infections in high-risk adults (ie, those with severe COPD and/or advanced CHF) across multiple consecutive RSV seasons.

NCT ID: NCT01455194 Completed - Bronchial Asthma Clinical Trials

Effect of High Dose Ciclesonide on Asthma Control

CONTRAST
Start date: November 2011
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The aim of the trial is to investigate asthma control with 160 to 640 μg ciclesonide/day. Asthma control will be assessed by the Asthma Control Questionnaire (ACQ).

NCT ID: NCT01454934 Completed - Clinical trials for Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC)

A Randomized, Open-label, Multicenter, Phase 3 Study to Compare the Efficacy and Safety of Eribulin With Treatment of Physician's Choice in Subjects With Advanced Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

Start date: December 9, 2011
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This is a randomized, open-label, multicenter, Phase 3 study, comparing efficacy and safety of eribulin with TPC in subjects with advanced and disease progression following at least two prior regimens for advanced disease, which should have included a platinum-based regimen.

NCT ID: NCT01453608 Completed - Clinical trials for Chronic Heart Failure

A Study to Compare the Use of Ferric Carboxymaltose With Placebo in Patients With Chronic Heart Failure and Iron Deficiency

CONFIRM-HF
Start date: October 2011
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine, relative to placebo, the effect of iron repletion therapy using intravenous (IV) ferric carboxymaltose on exercise capacity in patients with chronic heart failure and iron deficiency.

NCT ID: NCT01453205 Completed - Clinical trials for Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma

A Phase 2, Multicenter, Randomized, Open-label Study of MEDI-551 in Adults With Relapsed or Refractory Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma (DLBCL)

Start date: February 27, 2012
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The overall purpose of the study is to determine if MEDI-551, when used in combination with salvage chemotherapy, Ifosfamide-carboplatin-etoposide (ICE) or Dexamethasone-cytarabine (DHAP) in patients with relapsed or refractory DLBCL who are eligible for Autologous Stem Cell Transplant (ASCT), has superior efficacy compared to rituximab in the same population.
