There are about 3194 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Portugal. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This is an open-label, multinational, randomized Phase 2 study confirming the clinical benefit of 20 mg futibatinib and evaluating the safety and efficacy of 16 mg futibatinib in previously treated CCA harboring FGFR2 gene fusions and other rearrangements.
This study will look at how well semaglutide helps children and teenagers losing weight. This will be tested by comparing the effect on body weight in children and teenagers taking semaglutide in comparison to placebo, a "dummy" medicine. In addition to taking the medicine, the child's parent and the child will have talks with study staff about healthy food choices, how to be more physically active and what your child can do to try to lose weight. The child will either get semaglutide or a "dummy" medicine. Which treatment the child will get is decided by chance. Semaglutide is an approved medicine for type 2 diabetes and weight management in adults. The child will get one injection once a week. The study medicine is injected with a thin needle in the stomach, thighs or upper arms. The study will last for about 2 ½ years (132 weeks).
The purpose of this study is to verify the immediate effects of quadriceps or hamstring myofascial release on the active cervical flexion and extension range of motion.
The purpose of the present study is to assess the efficacy of secukinumab 300 mg s.c. (subcutaneous) compared to placebo, each in combination with standard of care, in improving signs, symptoms and physical function in participants with moderate to severe rotator cuff tendinopathy (RCT), using a randomized, double-blind, placebo controlled, parallel group design to minimize bias.
The purpose of this study is to find differences in rates of surgical site infections following emergency laparotomy with the use of two different incisional negative pressure wound therapy (iNPWT)devices.
The X-TOLE3 Phase 3 clinical trial is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study that will evaluate the clinical efficacy, safety and tolerability of XEN1101 administered as adjunctive therapy in focal-onset seizures.
The purpose of this study is to compare event-free survival (EFS) in participants with Bacillus Calmette-Guerin (BCG)-naive high-risk non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (HR-NMIBC), including high-grade papillary Ta, any T1, or carcinoma in situ (CIS), between TAR-200 plus cetrelimab (Group A) and TAR-200 alone (Group C) versus intravesical BCG (Group B).
This study aims to compare the efficacy of vericiguat versus placebo on change in n-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide (NTproBNP) from baseline to Week 16. The primary hypothesis is Vericiguat is superior to placebo in reducing NT-proBNP at Week 16.
The chestnut tree (Castanea sativa Mill.) is a species widely cultivated in Portugal, which is a major producer of chestnuts. Nuts are nutritionally interesting, not only because of their content of vitamins, minerals, and phytochemicals but also of their high fiber content. Fiber, as it is not digested by humans, has a preponderant role in the intestinal microbiota, for its maintenance, and, consequently, has an impact on metabolic status. The inclusion of foods rich in these components, and with extensive local production, can be an excellent strategy for improving the metabolic parameters of the population. The main objective of this single group assignment clinical trial is to evaluate the effect of including roasted chestnuts in the daily diet on the composition and diversity of the intestinal microbiota. It is also intended to evaluate metabolic parameters to determine the impact of this intervention.
The primary objective of this study is to evaluate efficacy of plitidepsin in pre-specified groups of immunocompromised patients with symptomatic COVID-19 requiring hospital care versus control in terms of mortality.
