NCT ID: NCT04031378 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Prostate Adenocarcinoma

Single Dose Radiotherapy (SDRT) With or Without Adjuvant Systemic Therapy for Oligometastatic Prostate Cancer

Start date: September 1, 2019
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The present study aims to optimize the use of systemic therapy relative to local tumor ablation in a prospective randomized clinical trial and to validate the existence and characterize the clinical and pathology phenotype of oligometastatic (OM) prostate cancer (OM-PCa). For local tumor ablation we propose to use the novel non-invasive and highly effective technique of Image-Guided Single Dose Radiotherapy (SDRT), which we showed is capable of conferring long-term local relapse-free rates in ≥ 90% of metastatic PCa lesions. Concomitantly, we will develop, validate and implement a diagnostic algorithm for OM-PCa and functionally characterize Prostate Cancer Stem Cells (pCSCs) from human samples to correlate their molecular phenotypes with tumor response to treatment. The long-term aim is to define the indications, standardization of treatment protocols and outcome for OM-PCa. Response assessment will be via local control, metastasis-free survival and overall survival rates. Cases displaying the clinical OM phenotype, as disclosed via long-term disease remission following tumor ablation, will represent the basis to identify the molecular signatures of OM-PCa. These signatures will be used to develop and validate an algorithm to predict the OM phenotype upfront and define the treatment strategy that may lead to cure.

NCT ID: NCT04027660 Active, not recruiting - Implant Clinical Trials

Outcome of Immediate Zirconia Implants

Start date: January 26, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

The aim is to study bone and soft tissue response to zirconia immediate implants.Volumetric changes will be measured before tooth extraction and after final crow placement.

NCT ID: NCT04024943 Active, not recruiting - Heart Failure Clinical Trials

Personalized Therapy Study - Attain Stability Quad Post-Approval Study

ASQ
Start date: August 21, 2017
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

The purpose of this Post-Approval Study (PAS) is to evaluate the long-term performance of the Model 4798 Left Ventricular (LV) lead in a real-world patient population. Patients will be followed for the duration of the PAS. This study is required by FDA as a condition of approval of the Model 4798 LV lead and is integrated within the Product Surveillance Registry (PSR).

NCT ID: NCT04024436 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Metastatic Breast Cancer

A Study of TAS-120 in Patients With Metastatic Breast Cancer

Start date: August 30, 2019
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of the trial is to evaluate a patient's response to a Fibroblast Growth Factor Receptor (FGFR) inhibitor, futibatinib (TAS-120), used either alone or in combination with the hormonal therapy, fulvestrant. This study will be conducted in patients with metastatic breast cancer who have specific Fibroblast Growth Factor Receptor gene abnormalities and who have previously received conventional therapies to treat their breast cancer, or who are not able to tolerate certain cancer therapies. This study will also evaluate the safety of taking futibatinib, or futibatinib and fulvestrant, by learning about the potential side effects.

NCT ID: NCT04024280 Completed - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Effects of a Physical Exercise Program in Quality of Life of Breast Cancer Survivors

MamaMoveGaia
Start date: July 1, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

A 16 weeks 3-weekly supervised and adapted physical exercise program will be applied to breast cancer survivors in surveillance and, in estrogen receptor positive cases, under hormonotherapy. The program will be applied in group classes of 20 participants, in the facilities of one local gymnasium, by fitness instructors included in the investigation team. Investigators will evaluate the Health-Related Quality of Life (HRQoL), physical activity, cardiopulmonary fitness, upper limb strength and lower limb functionality. The investigators also aim to evaluate the safety of the program and oncological outcomes such as symptoms related to disease and its treatment and, also, overall survival and disease free survival.

NCT ID: NCT04023552 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Cardiovascular Disease and Lipoprotein(a)

Assessing the Impact of Lipoprotein (a) Lowering With Pelacarsen (TQJ230) on Major Cardiovascular Events in Patients With CVD

Lp(a)HORIZON
Start date: December 12, 2019
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This is a pivotal phase 3 study designed to support an indication for the reduction of cardiovascular risk in patients with established CVD and elevated Lp(a)

NCT ID: NCT04022642 Completed - Adolescents Clinical Trials

Effects of HIIT Integrated in PE Classes, on Physical Condition, Physical Activity and Motivation for Exercise

Start date: September 16, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Levels of activity and physical condition among adolescents are low, increasing the risk of chronic diseases. The most recent literature suggests that physical activity and physical condition are correlated with improved biopsychosocial variables of the young. The School and, concretely, the Physical Education classes are privileged spaces, promoters of positive changes for the rest of the life. HIIT is an efficient alternative to the invested time compared to aerobic training, being a powerful stimulus in improving cardiorespiratory performance, muscles oxidative capacity and sensitivity to insulin. This study intends to verify the effectiveness and feasibility in the implementation of HIIT in High-School Physical Education classes. The activity levels and physical condition of the adolescents will be evaluated and identified, before and after 16 weeks of implementation of the training program, as well as their effects on the motivation for the practice.
