There are about 2656 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Puerto Rico. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The primary objective of the study is to evaluate the long-term safety, tolerability, and efficacy of upadacitinib in adults with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) who have completed a preceding randomized controlled trial with upadacitinib.
The primary objective of the study is to determine the incidence, type, and pattern of serious adverse events (SAEs), including but not limited to infections (including opportunistic infections), hepatic events, malignancies, and renal events, and of adverse events (AEs) leading to treatment discontinuation in patients with MS treated with dimethyl fumarate (DMF). Secondary objectives of this study in this population are as follows: To determine dimethyl fumarate (DMF) prescription and utilization patterns in routine clinical practice in patients with multiple sclerosis (MS); To assess the effectiveness of dimethyl fumarate (DMF) on multiple sclerosis (MS) disease activity and disability progression in routine clinical practice as determined by the Expanded Disability Status Scale (EDSS) score and multiple sclerosis (MS) relapse information; and To assess the effect of dimethyl fumarate (DMF) on health-related quality of life, healthcare resource consumption, and work productivity.
A study to evaluate efficacy and safety of flexibly dosed Lurasidone in children and adolescents with bipolar I depression
The main purpose of this clinical trial is to generate additional safety data in a highly immunocompromised population. HIV-infected persons are considered excellent candidates to represent the highly immunocompromised population for enrolment in this trial. Additionally, the immune system's response (protection against smallpox as measured by the amount of antibodies produced) following injections of MVA-BN® smallpox vaccine will be evaluated. All participants in this trial will be randomly and evenly assigned to one of three groups to receive two, three or four injections. Group 1 will receive the standard regime consisting of one dose at each vaccination time point, Group 2 will receive two doses at each vaccination time point and Group 3 will receive a booster vaccination 12 weeks after the standard vaccination schedule with MVA-BN® smallpox vaccine. Participation in the trial is scheduled to last up to 75 weeks.
This trial is conducted in Europe and the United States of America (USA). The aim of the trial is to compare the safety and efficacy of insulin degludec (IDeg) and insulin glargine (IGlar), both with insulin aspart (IAsp) as mealtime insulin in subjects with type 1 diabetes.
To study the combination of Daclatasvir and Sofosbuvir for the treatment of hepatitis C virus (HCV) Genotype 3 infection
This trial is conducted in the United States of America (USA). The aim of the trial is to compare the safety and efficacy of insulin degludec (IDeg) and insulin glargine (IGlar) with or without OADs (oral anti-diabetic drugs) excluding SUs (sulfonylureas)/glinides in subjects with type 2 diabetes.
Our study tested the effectiveness of a combined cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and care manager intervention offered either by telephone or face-to-face with depressed Latinos identified in primary care. Eligible patients were randomized after baseline to one of three conditions; 1) ECLA-T (telephone) intervention, 2) ECLA-F (face to face) intervention, and 3) usual care. Usual care was considered care as usual in the participating clinic for a patient screening or depression. The ECLA-T intervention was based on a telephone-plus-care-management intervention that has been shown to be effective in decreasing depressive symptoms and increasing client satisfaction and self-perceived global improvement, as compared to usual care in depressed patients in primary care settings.
This phase II trial studies how well combination chemotherapy works in treating younger patients with newly diagnosed, non-metastatic desmoplastic medulloblastoma. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as vincristine sulfate, cyclophosphamide, methotrexate, etoposide, and carboplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading.
This study is being conducted to assess the safety and efficacy of adalimumab in subjects with nail psoriasis.
