NCT ID: NCT04958837 Recruiting - Postural Balance Clinical Trials

Effects of FIFA 11+ With Dynamic Core Stability Training on Balance and Dynamic Knee Valgus in Amateur Soccer Players

Start date: July 15, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The incidence of soccer-related injuries is reported to have the highest rate amongst all sports. To reduce the incidence of soccer injuries in youth and amateur soccer players, an injury prevention framework namely FIFA 11+ was established. Although the FIFA 11+ is a comprehensive warm-up and training program for soccer players, yet in the second component focusing on strength and plyometric training, the exercises consist of only static core training whereas dynamic core training is not included in the protocol. Hence this study will observe the effect of including dynamic core training targeting the remaining core musculature as well in the FIFA 11 + program for risk factor modification and correction of muscular imbalance.

NCT ID: NCT04957927 Recruiting - Allergic Rhinitis Clinical Trials

Effectiveness of Montelukast Versus Intranasal Fluticasone Propionate in the Management of Allergic Rhinitis Among Children 02 to 05 Years of Age

Start date: December 12, 2020
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

To determine the Effectiveness of Montelukast Versus Intranasal Fluticasone Propionate in the Management of Allergic Rhinitis Among Children 02 to 05 Years of Age.

NCT ID: NCT04947332 Recruiting - Viral Wart Clinical Trials

Auto-inoculation of a Wart in Multiple Viral Warts

Start date: February 8, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study is being conducted to see effectiveness of auto-inoculation of a wart in multiple viral warts. Patients with recurrent, multiple warts of all types, are being recruited for the study. A wart is excised, minced and then inoculated in a subcutaneous pocket made on the volar aspect of forearm. Patients are to be reviewed after every 4 weeks to note any reduction in number warts.

NCT ID: NCT04943588 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Hepatitis C, Chronic

Treating Hepatitis C in Pakistan. Strategies to Avoid Resistance to Antiviral Drugs

Start date: November 1, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

We will determine how best to manage the hepatitis C virus (HCV) epidemic in Pakistan by measuring effectiveness of Pakistan-government sponsored current therapies, emergence of viral resistance, consequences of infection (chiefly liver cancer) and through developing models, based on incidence data, determine the proportion of people who need curative treatment to eliminate HCV, and assess whether targeting can optimise this.

NCT ID: NCT04931602 Recruiting - Osteoporosis Clinical Trials

Determining Feasibility of a Model of Care for Secondary Fracture Prevention

Start date: July 1, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Osteoporosis is a disorder of low bone mass and micro-architectural deterioration resulting in decreased mechanical strength and increased susceptibility to fractures even after minimal trauma. These 'minimal trauma fractures' (also known as 'osteoporotic', 'low trauma' or 'fragility' fractures) are the hallmark of a chronic and disabling disease that affects both men and women worldwide. On statistical grounds, more than 50 % of postmenopausal women and 30 % of men over the age of 60 years will suffer at least one minimal trauma fracture during their remaining lifetime. Any osteoporotic fracture predisposes to further fractures, significant morbidity and premature death. Thus, following a first minimal trauma fracture both men and women have a two- to threefold increased risk of subsequent fracture. This study aims to determine feasibility of evaluating different models of care through a structured multidisciplinary path tailored to identify, assess and treat hip fracture patients in an effective timely manner that are at high risk of subsequent fracture (Type A model) and to compare its effectiveness and feasibility with a type B, C & D model as proposed by Ganda et al at the Aga Khan University, with collaboration of the departments of Orthopaedics, Chemical Pathology, Family Medicine and Internal Medicine.

NCT ID: NCT04925115 Recruiting - Stress Clinical Trials

Effect of Physical Activity on Academic Stress While Controlling the Confounding Variables

Start date: December 29, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The study is designed to determine the effectiveness of moderate physical activity on academic stress with controlling and observing on confounding variables.

NCT ID: NCT04925102 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Spastic Cerebral Palsy

Prediction of Recovery in Spastic Cerebral Palsy.

Start date: June 14, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

Until now, for children with cerebral palsy (CP) , diagnostic and some prognostic predictive machine learning studies have been conducted, but prognostic studies targeted specific milestone according to specific gross motor function measure (GMFCS) levels; such as walking and running predictors at GMFCS II and III and GMFCS II respectively, and not covered specific types of cerebral palsy. Predictions studies were limited by the lack of specificity of child and family characteristics was not taken into the account prospectively. It is therefore the utmost need to support clinical decision making by predicting the recovery in spastic cerebral palsy. Recovery predictive factors can play an important role for this purpose. Thus, this study aims to predict the recovery in spastic cerebral palsy according to all GMFCS level by means of a prediction index/model.

NCT ID: NCT04924764 Recruiting - Neck Pain Clinical Trials

Prediction of Recovery in Patients With Neck Pain

Start date: June 15, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This prognostic prediction model will be a reference for the health care professionals in clinical decision making and subsequent outcomes in dealing with patients having sub-acute and chronic neck pain, as well as, it will be a guide regarding therapeutic management and patients' education. Although various studies have evaluated the prognostic factors for individual neck pain conditions or treatment, to author Knowledge, no such prognostic model is available yet that predict the recovery in patients of sub-acute and chronic neck pain when managed conservatively. Therefore, this study is aimed to create a prediction model suggesting the recovery time for neck pain.

NCT ID: NCT04892225 Recruiting - Clinical trials for End Stage Renal Disease

Effect of Behavioral Intervention on Interdialytic Weight Gain in Patients Undergoing Hemodialysis

Start date: April 30, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

A randomized clinical trial will be conducted in which effect of behavioral intervention (Text message of dietary salt and fluid restriction) on inter-dialytic weight gain in hemodialysis patients. The purpose of this is to evaluate the efficacy of a technology supported intervention for reducing inter-dialytic weight gain and dietary sodium intake in patients undergoing intermittent hemodialysis.
