There are about 1249 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Philippines. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The double blind part of the study is being conducted to compare the efficacy and safety of pazopanib in combination with lapatinib with that of lapatinib alone in subjects with inflammatory breast cancer whose tumors overexpress the ErbB2 protein. There is also an Open-label pazopanib arm to this study designed to test whether pazopanib given alone and lapatinib given alone would be safe and effective to treat patients with inflammatory breast cancer.
CHIMES is a double blind, placebo controlled, randomized, multicenter study to test the hypothesis that NeuroAid is superior to placebo in reducing neurological deficit and improving functional outcome in patients with cerebral infarction of an intermediate range of severity.
This is a Phase III, multicenter, open-label extension, single-group study in male and female outpatients with mild-to-moderate Alzheimer's disease (AD) who have completed AVA105640. All subjects will receive rosiglitazone extended-release (RSG XR) 4mg once daily for the first 4 weeks of the study followed by 8mg RSG XR. Subject participation will last until one of 5 conditions applies. After a 52-week open-label treatment phase, subjects will attend a final Follow-Up Visit 6 weeks after the end of treatment. The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the long-term safety and tolerability of RSG XR in subjects with mild-to-moderate AD who have completed AVA105640. The secondary objective of this study is to explore further the long-term efficacy of RSG XR in terms of cognitive function and overall clinical response as a function of apolipoprotein E (APOE) e4 allele status
The primary objective of the study was to evaluate the efficacy of Alfuzosin in comparison to Placebo on the detrusor Leak Point Pressure (LPP) in children and adolescents 2-16 years of age with elevated detrusor LPP of neuropathic etiology and detrusor LPP ≥ 40 cm H2O. Secondary objectives were: - To investigate the safety and tolerability of two doses of Alfuzosin in comparison to Placebo in children and adolescents, - To evaluate the effects of the two doses of Alfuzosin in comparison to Placebo on: - Detrusor compliance, - Urinary tract infection, - To investigate the pharmacokinetics of Alfuzosin (population kinetics), - To evaluate the 12-month long-term safety of Alfuzosin 0.1 mg/kg/day and 0.2 mg/kg/day. The study consisted of 2 periods: - a 12-week double blind treatment period where patients were to receive either Alfuzosin 0.1 mg/kg/day or Alfuzosin 0.2 mg/kg/day or placebo then, - a 40-week open label extension treatment period where patients were to receive either Alfuzosin 0.1 mg/kg/day or Alfuzosin 0.2 mg/kg/day.
This is a multicenter, double-blind, double-dummy, randomized, active-controlled study that will include an 8-day treatment period followed by a 1-week follow-up period in patients experiencing symptoms of an acute exacerbation of gouty arthritis.
The purpose of this observer blind study is to assess the safety in terms of fever >39°C (rectal temperature) and the immunogenicity in terms of antibody response following a booster vaccination with pneumococcal vaccine GSK 1024850A at 12 to 18 months of age in children previously primed with the same vaccines including a pneumococcal conjugate vaccine co-administered with a diphtheria, tetanus, whole cell pertussis (DTPw)-combined vaccine and OPV or IPV vaccines. Subjects participating in this study should have received three doses of pneumococcal conjugate vaccine in the primary study. This protocol posting deals with objectives & outcome measures of the booster phase. The objectives & outcome measures of the primary phase are presented in a separate protocol posting (NCT number = NCT00344318)
To evaluate the efficacy and safety of fesoterodine on overactive bladder symptom improvement when added to ongoing alpha blocker treatment.
Phase 1b, safety, pharmacokinetic, and efficacy, multicenter, dose-escalating Study of Imprime PGG™ Injection dosed in combination with Cetuximab and concomitant irinotecan therapy. Enrolled patients will have a confirmed diagnosis of recurrent or progressive colorectal carcinoma following treatment with a 5-fluorouracil-containing regimen.
This single arm study will continue drug safety surveillance, and assessment of adherence, in patients with postmenopausal osteoporosis who have received monthly oral Bonviva in ML19930, the BonAdAsia study. All patients completing 6 months in ML19930 will continue to receive Bonviva (150mg po, monthly) for an additional 6 months. The anticipated time on study treatment is 3-12 months, and the target sample size is 500+ individuals.
