A Study of Tasquinimod in Men With Metastatic Castrate Resistant Prostate Cancer

This is a Phase 3 randomized, double blind, placebo controlled study of tasquinimod in asymptomatic to mildly symptomatic patients with metastatic CRPC to confirm the effect of tasquinimod on delaying disease progression compared with placebo. Approximately 1200 eligible patients with metastatic CRPC will be randomly assigned in a 2:1 ratio to 1 of 2 treatment groups: Treatment Group A (tasquinimod 0.25, 0.5, or 1 mg/day; n=800) or Treatment Group B (placebo; n=400).

A Study of RoActemra/Actemra (Tocilizumab) Given Subcutaneously in Combination With Traditional DMARDs in Patients With Moderate to Severe Active Rheumatoid Arthritis

This randomized, parallel-group, placebo-controlled, multicenter study will evaluate the reduction in disease activity and the safety of tocilizumab (RoActemra/Actemra) in combination with traditional disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs (DMARDs) in patients with active, moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis. In the double-blind part of the study, patients will be randomized to receive either 162 mg tocilizumab or placebo subcutaneously every 2 weeks for 24 weeks using a pre-filled syringe. In the open-label part of the study, patients will be randomized to receive 162 mg tocilizumab subcutaneously every 2 weeks from Week 24 to Week 96 using a pre-filled syringe or an auto-injector.

Vinorelbine Tartrate and Cyclophosphamide in Combination With Bevacizumab or Temsirolimus in Treating Patients With Recurrent or Refractory Rhabdomyosarcoma

This randomized phase II trial studies how well vinorelbine tartrate and cyclophosphamide work in combination with bevacizumab or temsirolimus in treating patients with recurrent or refractory rhabdomyosarcoma. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as vinorelbine tartrate and cyclophosphamide, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Monoclonal antibodies, such as bevacizumab, can block tumor growth in different ways. Some block the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Others find tumor cells and help kill them or carry tumor-killing substances to them. Bevacizumab may also stop the growth of rhabdomyosarcoma by blocking blood flow to the tumor. Temsirolimus may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. It is not yet known whether combination chemotherapy is more effective when given together with bevacizumab or temsirolimus in treating rhabdomyosarcoma.

This randomized phase II trial studies how well giving temozolomide and irinotecan hydrochloride together with or without bevacizumab works in treating young patients with recurrent or refractory medulloblastoma or central nervous system (CNS) primitive neuroectodermal tumors. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as temozolomide and irinotecan hydrochloride, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Monoclonal antibodies, such as bevacizumab, can block tumor growth in different ways. Some block the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread.
