Study of Efficacy and Safety of LNP023 in Primary IgA Nephropathy Patients

APPLAUSE-IgAN
Start date: January 25, 2021
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The study is designed as a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo controlled study to demonstrate the superiority of iptacopan (LNP023) at a dose of 200 mg b.i.d. compared to placebo on top of maximally tolerated ACEi or ARB on reduction of proteinuria and slowing renal disease progression in primary IgA Nephropathy patients.

NCT ID: NCT04578639 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Relapsing Remitting Multiple Sclerosis

Ocrelizumab VErsus Rituximab Off-Label at the Onset of Relapsing MS Disease

OVERLORD-MS
Start date: November 2, 2020
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This is a multicenter non-inferiority study, designed to establish non-inferiority of the study treatment rituximab compared with the comparator ocrelizumab for consecutively included patients (male or female) with active relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis aged 18-60 years.

NCT ID: NCT04574713 Active, not recruiting - Migraine Clinical Trials

Candesartan for Migraine Prevention:

CandMig-3
Start date: April 26, 2020
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The main objective of this study is to see whether the favorable preventative effect of candesartan 16 mg per day in episodic migraine, that was found previously in two smaller randomized controlled cross-over studies, can be confirmed in a larger, multicenter, randomized controlled parallel group study. In addition it will be investigated whether 1) also a smaller dose of 8 mg is effective, and 2) whether the favorable side effect profile, seen in previous studies, can be confirmed, and whether it is even better with the smaller dose.

NCT ID: NCT04560998 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Diabetes Mellitus, Type 2

A Research Study to Compare a Medicine Called Semaglutide Against Placebo in People With Peripheral Arterial Disease and Type 2 Diabetes

STRIDE
Start date: October 1, 2020
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This study is done to see if semaglutide has an effect on walking ability compared with placebo (dummy medicine) in people with peripheral arterial disease (PAD) and type 2 diabetes. Participants will either get semaglutide or placebo ("dummy") medicine - which treatment participants get is decided by chance. Semaglutide is a medicine for type 2 diabetes that can be prescribed by doctors in some countries. Participants will get the study medicine (semaglutide or placebo) in a pre-filled pen for injection. Participants must inject it once a week into the stomach area, thigh, or upper arm, at any time of the day. The study will last for about 59 weeks. Participants will have 8 clinic visits and 1 phone call with the study doctor. At some clinic visits, participants will have blood tests. At some visits participants will also do a treadmill test to measure how far they can walk. Women cannot take part if pregnant, breast-feeding or planning to become pregnant during the study period.

NCT ID: NCT04551066 Active, not recruiting - Myelofibrosis Clinical Trials

To Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of Parsaclisib and Ruxolitinib in Participants With Myelofibrosis (LIMBER-313)

Start date: May 27, 2021
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of the study is to compare the efficacy of parsaclisib when combined with ruxolitinb versus placebo combined with ruxolitinib in participants with myelofibrosis.

NCT ID: NCT04551053 Active, not recruiting - Myelofibrosis Clinical Trials

To Evaluate Efficacy and Safety of Parsaclisib and Ruxolitinib in Participants With Myelofibrosis Who Have Suboptimal Response to Ruxolitinib (LIMBER-304)

Start date: May 26, 2021
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of the study is to compare the efficacy and safety of parsaclisib when combined with ruxolitinb versus placebo combined with ruxolitinib in participants with myelofibrosis who have suboptimal response while receiving ruxolitinib monotherapy.

NCT ID: NCT04541056 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Childhood Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

Goal Management Training for Adult Survivors of Childhood Leukemia and Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma With Neurocognitive Sequelae

Start date: September 4, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Survivors of childhood cancer are at risk for developing neurocognitive sequelae. Multiple meta-analyses demonstrate significant deficits in overall intellectual abilities, academic functioning and specific cognitive skills among survivors of childhood cancer treated with intrathecal chemotherapy only and/or cranial irradiation. Preventing neurocognitive deficits is therefore of great importance. Unfortunately, intervention studies for this group of survivors are scarce. The main aim of this randomized controlled trial is to determine the efficacy of Goal Management Training (GMT) as a group-based treatment program for 60 adult survivors of childhood leukemia, and non Hodgkins lymphoma, diagnosed between 1980 and 2017 at an age below 18, with attention and executive function deficits. The participants will be randomized to one treatment group (GMT), and one waitlist condition followed by one active control intervention, the "Brain health workshop" (BHW), which has a psycho-educative approach. The follow-up time from diagnosis will be ≥5 years and the age at survey 18-40 years. The study will expand the knowledge base on treatment factors important in improving cognitive function. Results from this study can be implemented in rehabilitation for the young adult survivors of childhood leukemia, and non Hodgkins lymphoma, which will be of importance for their future educational and work-related functioning.
