This study includes patients diagnosed with a metastatic non small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) translocation. The standard treatment for patients with metastatic non small cell lung cancer with ALK translocation is represented by personalized treatment with drugs called ALK inhibitors. During the treatment with an ALK inhibitor, the tumour can start to grow again, because the tumour adapts to the drug and develops escape mechanisms, becoming resistant. At the tumour cells level, the mechanisms underlying resistance can include the development of other alterations, mainly mutations, including in the ALK gene. The alterations that developed depend on the drug the tumour has been exposed to. The alterations can be identified by analysing tumour tissue obtained through a biopsy, however, repeating a tumour biopsy is difficult and risky and might not be able to provide sufficient tissue for the test. Therefore in the last years, new tests have been developed to identify the mutations in the blood. Lorlatinib is a drug that inhibits ALK and has already been identified to be able to control the tumour growth when ALK mutations are identified and is already approved as standard treatment after progression to a previous treatment with ALK inhibitors. The purpose of this study is to identify which patient populations may benefit most from treatment with lorlatinib, based on the alterations found in their genes.

B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA) is a target present on tumor cells in participants with multiple myeloma. Belantamab mafodotin (GSK2857916); is an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) containing humanized anti-BCMA monoclonal antibody (mAb). This is a phase I/II, randomized, open-label, platform study designed to evaluate the effects of belantamab mafodotin in combination with other anti-cancer drugs in participants with relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma. The Platform design incorporates a single master protocol, where multiple treatment combinations, as sub-studies, will be evaluated simultaneously.
The design of a phase I, open-label, dose finding study was chosen in order to establish a safe and tolerated dose of single agent WVT078 alone and in combination with WHG626 in patients relapses and/or refractory Multiple Myeloma (MM)
The primary purpose of this study is to examine the effects of regular exergaming for 8 weeks in 24 overweight/obese children and adolescents (10-17 years) on maximal aerobic fitness (VO2max) and physical activity levels measured before and after (8 weeks) intervention period, and in addition at follow-up (12 weeks). We also wish to investigate the effects on markers of cardio metabolic health and body composition, measured at baseline, 8 weeks and 12 weeks follow-up. Also, the participants gaming frequency will be registered throughout the 8 week period, as well as during the follow-up between 8 and 12 weeks. Aim of this study is to investigate if access to this game can provide health benefits for overweight/obese children and adolescents.
Prevalence rates of diastasis recti abdominis (DRA) among postpartum women vary between 30% - 68%. It has been postulated that DRA, in addition to being a cosmetic concern for many women, may reduce low- back and pelvic stability causing low back- and pelvic girdle pain and be related to pelvic floor dysfunctions such as urinary incontinence, anal incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse. Given the limited research data, there is currently no consensus on which abdominal exercises to recommend to narrow the diastasis. The purpose of this assessor blinded parallel group randomized controlled trial (RCT) is to evaluate the effect of abdominal muscle training on inter-recti distance (IRD) and prevalence of DRA.
There is a high prevalence of urinary incontinence (UI) among female athletes participating in high impact sports, such as artistic gymnastics, trampoline jumping and ball games. UI is defined as "the complaint of involuntary loss of urine". Stress urinary incontinence (SUI) is the most common type of UI and is defined as "the complaint of involuntary loss of urine on effort or physical exertion (e.g. sporting activities), or or sneezing or coughing". Urinary leakage during sport activities may affect the athletes' performance, cause bother, frustration and embarrassment and furthermore lead to avoidance and cessation of sport activities. Pelvic floor muscle (PFM) training is highly effective in treating SUI in the general female population. However, evidence of the effect of PFM training in elite athletes in high impact sports is sparse. The purpose of this assessor-blinded randomized controlled trial (RCT) is to assess the effect of PFM training on symptoms, bother and amount of SUI in female artistic gymnasts, team gymnasts and cheerleaders.
This study compares traditional follow-up of gynaecological cancer patients to an alternative follow-up model. In the alternative follow-up model the patients will meet a nurse at every second consultation. The nurse will focus on psychosocial health and educate the patients in the use of a study specific smartphone-application.
The main aim and overall objective of the study is to assess whether rituximab is non-inferior to cladribine for the treatment of relapsing MS. Secondly, the investigators will test specific blood and MRI biomarkers that may contribute to future personalized treatment for MS patients. Furthermore, the investigators want to evaluate the health economic consequences of the two therapies.
Rhabdomyolysis is a potentially life-threatening syndrome characterized by breakdown of skeletal muscle, and leakage of intracellular substances such as myoglobin and creatine kinase (CK) into the circulation. The aetiological spectrum of rhabdomyolysis is extensive, and the clinical spectrum varies from a transient subclinical increase in CK activity to acute kidney injury (AKI) as a serious complication. There are no large prospective studies and only a few retrospective studies on rhabdomyolysis.
