NCT ID: NCT00003982 Completed - Clinical trials for Unspecified Adult Solid Tumor, Protocol Specific

MEN-10755 in Treating Patients With Solid Tumors

Start date: June 1997
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. PURPOSE: Phase I trial to study the effectiveness of MEN-10755 in treating patients who have solid tumors.

NCT ID: NCT00003981 Completed - Clinical trials for Unspecified Adult Solid Tumor, Protocol Specific

E7070 in Treating Patients With Solid Tumors

Start date: April 1998
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. PURPOSE: Phase I trial to study the effectiveness of E7070 in treating patients who have solid tumors.

NCT ID: NCT00003976 Completed - Clinical trials for Unspecified Adult Solid Tumor, Protocol Specific

E7070 in Treating Patients With Solid Tumors

Start date: March 1998
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. PURPOSE: Phase I trial to study the effectiveness of E7070 in treating patients who have solid tumors.

NCT ID: NCT00003955 Completed - Sarcoma Clinical Trials

Combination Chemotherapy Plus Radiation Therapy in Treating Patients With Metastatic Rhabdomyosarcoma or Sarcoma

Start date: September 1999
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to damage tumor cells. Combining more than one chemotherapy drug with radiation therapy may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of combination chemotherapy combined with radiation therapy in treating patients who have metastatic rhabdomyosarcoma or sarcoma.

NCT ID: NCT00003941 Completed - Metastatic Cancer Clinical Trials

Combination Chemotherapy With or Without Peripheral Stem Cell Transplant in Treating Men With Previously Untreated Germ Cell Cancer

Start date: April 1999
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one drug may kill more cancer cells. Peripheral stem cell transplant may allow the doctor to give higher doses of chemotherapy and kill more cancer cells. It is not yet known whether chemotherapy and peripheral stem cell transplant is more effective than chemotherapy alone. PURPOSE: This randomized phase III trial is studying how well combination chemotherapy works when given with peripheral stem cell transplant and how it compares with combination chemotherapy alone in treating men with previously untreated germ cell cancer.

NCT ID: NCT00003938 Completed - Cancer Clinical Trials

Liposomal Amphotericin B in Treating Granulocytopenia and Persistent Unexplained Fever in Cancer Patients

Start date: June 1999
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Liposomal amphotericin B may be effective in controlling fever and granulocytopenia. It is not yet known which regimen of liposomal amphotericin B is more effective in treating cancer patients who have these conditions. PURPOSE: Randomized phase III trial to compare the effectiveness of two regimens of liposomal amphotericin B in treating granulocytopenia and fever in cancer patients.

NCT ID: NCT00003937 Completed - Sarcoma Clinical Trials

Combination Chemotherapy Plus Dexrazoxane in Treating Patients With Newly Diagnosed Nonmetastatic Osteosarcoma

Start date: September 1999
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one drug may kill more tumor cells. Chemoprotective drugs such as dexrazoxane may protect normal cells from the side effects of chemotherapy. PURPOSE: Phase III trial to study the effectiveness of three combination chemotherapy regimens plus dexrazoxane in treating patients who have newly diagnosed nonmetastatic osteosarcoma.

NCT ID: NCT00003935 Completed - Brain Tumors Clinical Trials

Combination Chemotherapy Plus Radiation Therapy in Treating Children With Newly Diagnosed Brain Stem Glioma

Start date: September 1999
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to damage tumor cells. Combining more than one drug with radiation therapy may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: Phase I trial to study the effectiveness of vincristine plus etoposide and radiation therapy in treating children who have newly diagnosed brain stem glioma.

NCT ID: NCT00003916 Completed - Clinical trials for Brain and Central Nervous System Tumors

Standard Radiation Therapy With or Without Stereotactic Radiation Therapy in Treating Patients With Glioma

Start date: April 1999
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to damage tumor cells and may be an effective treatment for patients with glioma. Stereotactic radiation therapy may be able to deliver x-rays directly to the tumor and cause less damage to normal tissue. It is not yet known if standard radiation therapy is more effective when followed by stereotactic radiation therapy. PURPOSE: Randomized phase III trial to compare the effectiveness of standard radiation therapy with or without stereotactic radiation therapy in treating patients who have glioma.

NCT ID: NCT00003888 Completed - Clinical trials for Head and Neck Cancer

Combination Chemotherapy Plus Radiation Therapy in Treating Patients With Advanced Head and Neck Cancer

Start date: April 1999
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to damage tumor cells. Combining more than one drug and combining chemotherapy with radiation therapy may kill more tumor cells. It is not yet known which regimen of combination chemotherapy is more effective for advanced head and neck cancer. PURPOSE: Randomized phase III trial to compare the effectiveness of two regimens of combination chemotherapy plus radiation therapy in treating patients who have advanced head and neck cancer.
