There are about 7997 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Japan. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
L-[3-18F]-α–methyltyrosine (FMT) is amino-acid tracer for positron emission tomography (PET), and is used for tumor detection because malignant tumor cells accumulate 18F-FMT based on the increased expression of amino-acid transporter. This study was conducted to investigate a usefulness of 18F-FMT PET in combination with 18F-FDG PET for the diagnosis of sarcoidosis in patients with suspected malignancy.
Combination therapy of glinides with premixed insulin provides better glycemic control than premixed insulin alone.
This study will assess the efficacy and safety of GI198745 0.5mg given once daily for 52 weeks to Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) patients.
This study is designed to evaluate the efficacy, safety and tolerability of vildagliptin compared to voglibose in patients with type 2 diabetes. Please note this study is not being conducted in the United States.
Aggressive non-Hodgkin's lymphoma is difficult to handle once it relapses or becomes refractory to chemotherapy. Various second or third line chemotherapies, which are called salvage chemotherapy, were developed without promising results. Improvement in efficacy by adding relatively new agent, rituximab, to chemotherapy is now widely accepted in non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. This study will test the safety and efficacy of adding rituximab to existing salvage chemotherapy, ESHAP (R-ESHAP). Our aim is also to proceed to high-dose chemotherapy with autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation after successful R-ESHAP therapy.
This study is planned to evaluate the safety and efficacy of L059 (levetiracetam) in long-term administration in patients who completed N01020 [NCT00160165] or N01221 [NCT00280696].
To assess the duration of severe neutropenia in cycle 1 of chemotherapy after treatment with a single injection of KRN125 or multiple daily injections of filgrastim.
