There are about 21062 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Italy. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This is an open-label, single arm study to study the safety, efficacy and tolerability of Pemigatinib when used on participants with squamous or nonsquamous NSCLC with a documented FGFR1-3 mutations or fusions/rearrangement who have progressed on prior therapies and have no available standard treatment options
A Randomized Clinical Trial on Laparoscopic Fascial posterior vaginal duplication with absorbable sutures plus sacral colpopexy mesh placement VS sacral colpopexy isolated for vaginal posterior prolapse
This is a 3-part study. Part A is randomized, double-blinded, placebo-controlled and includes patients with eosinophilic gastritis and/or duodenal-only disease. After completing Part A, participants can continue to Part C - open-label benralizumab treatment period. Following the decision to close enrollment, patients in both Part A and Part C will be given the option to proceed to 6-months of open-label benralizumab treatment in Part D.
The goal of the study is to investigate the feasibility and the effects of a home-based upper-limb rehabilitation treatment (based on teleconsulting, telemonitoring, and robotic telerehabilitation using the robot Icone and integrated sensors) in patients with stroke.
This is an observational, non-interventional, longitudinal prospective descriptive study including participants diagnosed with Heart Failure with reduced Ejection Fraction (HFrEF) in Italy and initiated on treatment with dapagliflozin according to the approved HFrEF indication. The study is aimed at providing insights into real-world drug utilization and treatment patterns of dapagliflozin in the Italian HFrEF setting, as well as patient-reported outcomes including quality of life.
To improve self-care and therapy adherence by fibromyalgia (FM) patients through a nursing educational intervention. Historic diagnoses of subjects included terms such as "insane", "imaginary ill", "whiny"; as well, their physical conditions were underestimated by their immediate families. All subjects have problematic employment histories which consistently identified their varied employments as physically too demanding. Over time, increased physician- and societal-awareness, resulted in all subjects being diagnosed with FM; consequently, all subjects reported a strong desire to become well-informed about FM and its treatment. Although medical cannabis (MC) was an available therapy, twenty subjects reported that cannabis had never been proposed despite years of ineffective therapies. In this tudy the effects of a educational intervention by expert nurses on fibromyalgia and MC use were investigated.
The two scientific societies FADOI and SIIA have decided to start a collaborative study protocol that, through the application of a simple and homogeneous method to diagnose orthostatic hypotension, aims to estimate prevalence, conditions associates and outcomes in a cohort of patients admitted to Internal Medicine Departments and with known or newly diagnosed arterial hypertension.
This is a phase III clinical study to assess the safety, tolerability and immunogenicity of PHH-1V as a booster dose in healthy adult subjects vaccinated against COVID-19 with the Comirnaty, Spikevax, Vaxevria or Janssen vaccine.
Orthofix is conducting this retrospective Post-market clinical follow up (PMCF) study to assess the safety and clinical performance of the GGPSP device, which is a new version of the Guided Growth Plate System (GGPS) from which it differs for small modifications compared to the original design. The purpose of the study is to collect clinical evidence from the use of the device in a representative number of pediatric patients who have already been treated with the device in the study and with at least one control visit post removal of plaque.. For this purpose, a retrospective PMCF study was considered to be the most appropriate study design to obtain the necessary information.
Taking into account the high number of COVID-19 patients managed in Italian Internal Medicine, Fadoi Foundation (Italian Scientific Society of Internal Medicine) promotes a national retrospective observational study in patients treated with Remdesivir, analyzing the characteristics of patients and their clinical outcome during hospitalization, and thus providing real-life information potentially useful to integrate the evidence produced by studies conducted under experimental conditions and available in the literature.
