The study is designed to assess the efficacy of Glatiramer Acetate (GA) injection 40 mg administered three times a week compared to placebo in subjects with RRMS, as measured by the number of confirmed relapses during the 12 month placebo controlled period. The study has two periods: - Placebo Controlled Period: 12 months of 40 mg administered three times a week by subcutaneous injection or matching placebo. - Open Label Extension Period: All subjects will continue treatment with GA 40 mg administered three times a week, until this dose strength is commercially available for the treatment of relapsing remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS) patients or until the development of this GA dose regimen is stopped by the Sponsor

Study of Darunavir/r + Tenofovir/Emtricitabine vs. Darunavir/r + Raltegravir in HIV-infected Antiretroviral naïve Subjects

The triple therapy darunavir/r + tenofovir/emtricitabine is likely to become a relevant first-line treatment option in the years to come. The dual combination of boosted darunavir + raltegravir is an innovative treatment option that combines two potent new antiretroviral drugs, one of which belongs to a new drug class (integrase inhibitor). The expected efficacy profile of this combination is promising. Moreover, this combination might have a better tolerance profile and has the advantage of sparing the NRTI class. In the context of tenofovir/emtricitabine currently being a reference backbone in first-line antiretroviral regimens, we hypothesise that, in combination with darunavir/r, raltegravir may be an alternative option if its efficacy is non-inferior to tenofovir/emtricitabine.

The Valentines Trial

The primary objective of this multi-center, international, short term registry is to assess clinical success and efficacy of the paclitaxel eluting balloon treatment for in-stent restenosis at 6-9 months follow up. Clinical success defined as freedom from major adverse cardiac events (MACE: death, myocardial infarction [MI], target lesion revascularization [TLR]) and target vessel revascularization [TVR]) and stent thrombosis, both early and late occurrences will be assessed. In addition, a cohort of the registry will undergo angiographic follow up at 6-9 months to assess in-stent and in-segment late loss and binary restenosis subsequent to paclitaxel eluting balloon treatment for in-stent restenosis. A prioi analysis will be comparison of the safety and efficacy of patients presenting with drug-eluting stent in-stent restenosis to bare metal stent in-stent restenosis.

This observational study will assess predictors of early on-treatment and sustained virological response in treatment-naïve patients with chronic hepatitis C initiated on treatment with Pegasys (peginterferon alfa-2a) or peginterferon alfa-2b and ribavirin. Data will be collected during the treatment period (24 or 48 weeks) and 12 and 24 weeks after the end of treatment. Target sample size is <2000.

This approach to demonstrate non-inferiority was based on the following decision points: • ET is a rare disease and recruitment of large patient number (> 1600) to prove superiority was not considered possible. . It was decided to recruit only treatment naïve high risk patients to avoid pre-treatment bias, which further limited the number of patients eligible for the study.

The secondary study objectives are to test the superiority of DAC HYP compared to IFN β-1a in slowing functional decline and disability progression and maintaining quality of life in this participant population.
