NCT ID: NCT01303172 Completed - Clinical trials for Advanced Pancreatic Cancer

A Trial Comparing Gemcitabine With and Without IMM-101 in Advanced Pancreatic Cancer

Start date: June 2011
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

To compare, in patients with advanced pancreatic cancer, the effects of IMM-101 in combination with gemcitabine to gemcitabine alone on safety and tolerability (including QoL), clinical signs and symptoms of disease, selected markers of tumour burden and immunological status, and disease outcome.

NCT ID: NCT01302626 Completed - Lung Cancer Clinical Trials

Radiomics: a Study of Outcome in Lung Cancer

Radiomics
Start date: March 2010
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

Aim of the study: The main aim is to collect data of patients with lung cancer, and to perform different analyses on this data. The data contains information on patient and tumor characteristics, imaging, and treatment characteristics. With this data it is possible to improve and validate the predictive model for survival and long term toxicity in lung cancer by multicentric prospective data collection. The long term aim, beyond this specific study, is to build a Decision Support System based on the predictive models validated in this study. Hypothesis: The general hypothesis is that we get a better prediction in terms of AUC (area under the curve) of survival and long term toxicity when we combine multifactorial variables. These variables consist of information from clinical data, imaging data, data related to treatment type and treatment quality.

NCT ID: NCT01302600 Completed - Clinical trials for Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type II

Safety and Efficacy of Olesoxime (TRO19622) in 3-25 Years SMA Patients.

Start date: November 2010
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Assess the efficacy and the safety of olesoxime in SMA type 2 or type 3 non ambulant patients aged 3-25 years

NCT ID: NCT01302392 Completed - Multiple Myeloma Clinical Trials

A Study of Carfilzomib vs Best Supportive Care in Subjects With Relapsed and Refractory Multiple Myeloma

FOCUS
Start date: September 2010
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This is a Phase 3, randomized, open-label, multicenter study comparing two treatment regimens for subjects with multiple myeloma who have received all available approved treatment options and may therefore be considered candidates for palliative care.

NCT ID: NCT01302067 Completed - Overactive Bladder Clinical Trials

A 12 Week Study to Confirm the Effectiveness of 8mg of Fesoterodine Compared to 4mg of Fesoterodine

Start date: May 2011
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

This study is designed to confirm if 8mg of fesoterodine is more effective in reducing overactive bladder symptoms than 4mg of fesoterodine. In addition the study is designed to assess if the higher dose reduces the overall effect of overactive bladder on the subject's daily life more than the lower dose. The study also assesses the side effects and safety of the two doses.

NCT ID: NCT01301326 Completed - Aneurysm Clinical Trials

Subthreshold Laser Treatment Versus Threshold Laser Treatment for Symptomatic Retinal Arterial Macroaneurysm

RAM-SUB
Start date: April 2010
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

Best treatment option of retinal arterial macroaneurysm is still controversial. A recent publication has shown that subthreshold laser treatment can be beneficial in improving visual acuity in eyes with symptomatic retinal arterial macroaneurysm. Aim of the study is to compare the effects of subthreshold laser treatment and threshold laser treatment in patients affected by symptomatic retinal arterial macroaneurysm.

NCT ID: NCT01300819 Completed - Clinical trials for Idiopathic Parkinson's Disease

Placebo-controlled Study in Patients With Parkinson's Disease to Evaluate the Effect of Rotigotine on Non-motor Symptoms

Start date: February 2011
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The primary objective of this study was to demonstrate that Rotigotine improves non-motor symptoms compared to Placebo in subjects with Parkinson's Disease.

NCT ID: NCT01300325 Completed - Bronchiolitis Clinical Trials

Effectiveness of Nebulized Hypertonic Saline and Epinephrine in Hospitalized Infants With Bronchiolitis

Start date: November 2008
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

Acute bronchiolitis is the main cause for respiratory illness that requires hospitalization in children younger than 2 years. In the United States it has been shown that the burden of the disease is considerable, having an annual cost of more than $ 500 million and being responsible for the 17% of all infant hospitalizations . Aim of the present study was to verify the effects of nebulized 3% saline solution in comparison to normal saline in addiction to epinephrine in a large population of RSV positive cases of bronchiolitis; all patients presented a disease as much as severe to require hospitalization. The main study endpoints were the length of stay in hospital and the clinical response.

NCT ID: NCT01300013 Completed - Heart Failure Clinical Trials

Study to Evaluate the Safety and Efficacy of IV Infusion Treatment With Omecamtiv Mecarbil in Subjects With Left Ventricular Systolic Dysfunction Hospitalized for Acute Heart Failure (ATOMIC-AHF)

Start date: April 2011
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The primary objective of the study is to evaluate the effect of 48 hours of intravenous (IV) omecamtiv mecarbil compared with placebo on dyspnea in subjects with left ventricular systolic dysfunction hospitalized for acute heart failure. This is a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study with 3 dose cohorts enrolled sequentially in order of ascending dose strength of omecamtiv mecarbil. In each cohort, subjects are randomized 1:1 to omecamtiv mecarbil or placebo.

NCT ID: NCT01299272 Completed - Clinical trials for Major Depressive Disorder

A Study in Prevention of Re-emergence of Depression Symptoms

Start date: May 2011
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The primary objective of this study was to assess the maintenance of efficacy of LY2216684 compared with placebo as adjunctive therapy to selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) as measured by the time-to-symptom reemergence among participants with major depressive disorder (MDD) who met randomization criteria with adjunctive LY2216684 during the stabilization period. This trial consists of two distinct periods: an open-label treatment period, which consists of two parts, 8 weeks acute open-label with movement to 12 weeks open-label stabilization if participants are in remission at end of 8 weeks (open-label for 20 weeks total) followed by a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled period for 24 weeks.
