There are about 21062 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Italy. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The purpose is to evaluate the effectiveness of fascial manipulation treatment in terms to reduce pain and improve physical functionality after rotator's cuff surgery. The technique involves deep friction manipulation of fascia's specific spots. Distant from surgical site.
This study was conducted to treat anemia in patients with chronic kidney disease. Anemia is a reduced number of red blood cells or hemoglobin. Studies that have investigated different bowel preparations in patients with history of colorectal surgery are surprisingly lacking. Therefore, which is the best colon preparation in this subgroup of patients is still unknown. Polyethylene glycol (PEG)-based solutions are the most popular and safest bowel preparation regimens, however the 4-Liter volume is often poorly tolerated. More recently, it has been shown that the use of a low volume preparation (2-Liter PEG solution with the adjunct of a laxative, bisacodyl) achieves comparable bowel cleanliness rates to 4-Liter PEG in general population. The primary aim will be to compare the efficacy of 2-L mixed preparation (bisacodyl plus PEG) to 4-L PEG preparation.
The primary objective of the trial is to assess the growth of the infants enrolled into the study. Other parameters to be measured include microbiota balance and certain blood biochemical values. In addition the infants' digestive tolerance of the formulae and frequency of morbidity will be investigated.
This trial is conducted in Europe and North and South America. The aim of the trial is to investigate the efficacy and safety of semaglutide once-weekly versus exenatide ER (extended release) 2.0 mg once-weekly as add-on to 1-2 oral antidiabetic drugs (OADs) in subjects with type 2 diabetes.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the long-term safety and any side effects of baricitinib in participants who have completed a previous baricitinib rheumatoid arthritis study. The study provides 7 years of additional treatment with baricitinib.
This is a phase II comparative randomized clinical trial. Eligible patients will be randomized (1:1) to: Arm A: Myocet plus Cyclofosfamide plus Metformin Arm B: Myocet plus Cyclofosfamide Statistical Considerations: In this randomized phase II study, the sample size was calculated basing on the primary end-point (PFS) and assuming an error α = 10% (2-tailed) with a power of 80%. To find an advantage of 4 months of median time to progression (6 months in the control arm B and 10 months in the experimental arm A) will be recruited 112 patients (98 events) for a period of 24 months and will be considered further 12-month of follow-up. The primary analysis of the study will be conducted in accordance with the "intention to treat" principle, the secondary analysis will be conducted in the "per protocol" population.
The primary objective of the study is to determine the pharmacokinetic (PK) profile of multiple doses of natalizumab in pediatric subjects with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS). The secondary objectives are as follows: to characterize the pharmacodynamic (PD) profile of natalizumab (as defined by α4 integrin binding) and to explore the safety and tolerability of multiple doses of natalizumab in the pediatric population.
