NCT ID: NCT04878822 Active, not recruiting - Covid-19 Clinical Trials

Immunogenicity of Covid-19 Vaccination for Patients With Hematological Malignancies

Start date: April 13, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Covid-19 is associated with a mortality rate of 33-37% in patients with hematological malignancies. At present, the anti-SARS-CoV-2 vaccination represents the most effective strategy for the prevention of Covid-19. Patients with malignancies were excluded from the trials leading to the approval of Comirnaty, Moderna, Vaxzevria and Janssen vaccines. The immunogenicity of these vaccines in immunocompromised patients or with hematological malignancies is an unmet clinical need. The aim of the study is to evaluate the efficacy of vaccination in adult patients with hematological malignancies, who received vaccination according to Italian rules and were in treatment at the Hematology Unit of Varese, Italy Efficacy will be evaluated in terms of serological response, cellular-mediated immune response and prevention of Covid-19. The duration of the study will be 24 months.

NCT ID: NCT04878783 Active, not recruiting - Gastric Cancer Clinical Trials

Radiomics and Molecular Expression Predictive Model for Esophago-Gastric Junction and Gastric Cancer TRG

Start date: December 20, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The aim of this study is to develop a CT scan-based radiomics predictive model about tumor regression grade (TRG) in patients with esophago-gastric junction (EGJ) ang gastric cancer undergoing perioperative chemotherapy. The molecular expression of the neoplasms will be evaluated to assess its association with the TRG and the radiomic features.

NCT ID: NCT04875195 Active, not recruiting - Hodgkin's Lymphoma Clinical Trials

A Study of Pembrolizumab (MK-3475) in Relapsed or Refractory Classical Hodgkin's Lymphoma (rrcHL) or Relapsed or Refractory Primary Mediastinal Large B-cell Lymphoma (rrPMBCL) (MK-3475-B68)

Start date: June 7, 2021
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The primary objective of the study is to evaluate the objective response rate (ORR), by cohort, rrcHL and rrPMBCL, as assessed by the investigator according to Lugano classification criteria 2014 in participants treated with pembrolizumab Q6W.

NCT ID: NCT04871919 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Rheumatoid Arthritis

Prospective Observational Study of Filgotinib in Subjects With Rheumatoid Arthritis

FILOSOPHY
Start date: May 11, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

An observational study to describe the effectiveness, safety, and patient-reported outcomes in patients with moderate to severe active rheumatoid arthritis (RA) receiving filgotinib in real-world setting.

NCT ID: NCT04871685 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Respiratory Distress Syndrome

The ECOVITA Study - Validation of LUS Score in SARS-CoV-2 Disease, i.e COVID-19

ECOVITA
Start date: October 18, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Lung Ultrasound (LUS) has been revealing an extremely useful tool to identify and monitor complications from Sars-COV-2 disease. Recently, a research group has proposed a score, named LUS Score, able to optimize the use of this diagnostic technique. LUS Score is computed analyzing chest posterior and lateral spaces, considering the number of artefacts generated by the inflammed interstitium (B lines), the characteristics of the pleural line and the presence or not of consolidation areas. The comparison between LUS and chest tomography (CT), the current gold standard for the diagnosis of interstitial pneumonia by COVID-19, has confirmed from the preliminary data, the reliability of such technique. Hence, the validation on a really large sample size of the ultrasound tool performed by dedicated personnel with high expertise, may allow the validation both in the clinical practice and in emergency and ordinary wards.

NCT ID: NCT04871282 Active, not recruiting - Desmoid Tumor Clinical Trials

Study type: Interventional

The current study is designed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of AL102 in patients with progressive desmoid tumors.

NCT ID: NCT04867616 Active, not recruiting - Alzheimer's Disease Clinical Trials

A Study to Test the Efficacy, Safety, and Tolerability of Bepranemab (UCB0107) in Patients With Mild Cognitive Impairment or Mild Alzheimer's Disease (AD)

Start date: June 9, 2021
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of the study is to investigate the effect of bepranemab versus (vs) placebo on the Clinical Dementia Rating Scale Sum of Boxes (CDR-SB) up to Week 80 in study participants with prodromal or mild Alzheimer's Disease (AD).

NCT ID: NCT04865770 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Diabetes Mellitus, Type 2

A Research Study to Find Out How Semaglutide Works in the Kidneys Compared to Placebo, in People With Type 2 Diabetes and Chronic Kidney Disease (the REMODEL Trial)

REMODEL
Start date: April 28, 2021
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

We are doing this study to learn more about how semaglutide may help fight chronic kidney disease in people with type 2 diabetes. We are doing this by looking into how semaglutide works in the kidneys. Participants will either get semaglutide or placebo (a 'dummy' medicine) - which treatment participants get is decided by chance. Semaglutide is a medicine doctors can prescribe in some countries for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. Participants will get the study medicine in a pen. Participants will use the pen to inject the medicine into the skin once a week. The study will last for about 1 year. Participants will have 11 visits to the clinic, and 2 phone visits. Some of the visits could be in different locations. Study staff will take blood samples at most of these visits. At 9 visits, participants will be asked to bring a sample of their first morning urine. At 4 of the visits participants will have to bring urine that they have collected over the last 24 hours. The study includes magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans of participants' kidneys which is a test that shows a detailed picture of organs and other parts inside the body. The scan will last for 30 minutes, and is free of radiation.

NCT ID: NCT04864795 Active, not recruiting - Heart Failure Clinical Trials

Cardiovascular and Renal Treatment in Heart Failure Patients With Hyperkalaemia or at High Risk of Hyperkalaemia

CARE-HK
Start date: April 19, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

The CARE-HK in HF is a registry study based on the hypothesis that adherence to guidelines is associated with improved real-world outcomes for heart failure (HF) patients. For the purpose of this study, adherence to guidelines is defined as adherence to RAASi treatment recommendations, according to the AHA/ACC and ESC guidelines. Objectives relating to patiromer effectiveness will only be evaluated if a sufficient number of patients are available. The study aims to evaluate in patients at high risk of hyperkalaemia; patients treated with ACEi/ARB/ARNi, and either treated with or candidates for treatment with MRA.

NCT ID: NCT04860960 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Niemann-Pick Disease, Type C1

TransportNPC
Start date: July 20, 2021
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

A prospective, randomized, double-blind, placebo controlled, multi-center therapeutic study for patients age 3 and older with confirmed diagnosis of Niemann Pick disease type C1 (NPC1).
