NCT ID: NCT03779529 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Chronic Kidney Disease Stage V

EVOO Coratina Intervention on Lipids in Non-diabetic Hypertensive Patients Undergoing Hemodialysis (EVOOC-3H)

EVOOC-3H
Start date: July 1, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Twenty-four non-diabetic hypertensive and hyperlipidemic patients undergoing periodic chronic hemodialysis will be enrolled for receiving extravirgin olive oil (EVOO) Coratina (12 patients) or refined olive oil (12 patients). Aim of the study is to evaluate the effect of EVOO-C on serum lipid levels. Randomization will be done centrally with appropriate stratification. Sample size is opportunistic because this is a pilot study. Dietary and clinical monitoring will be done by nephrologists, cardiologists and dieticians.

NCT ID: NCT03778502 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Cerebral Vein Thrombosis

DOAC in Unusual Site Venous Thrombosis

DUST
Start date: October 1, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

Unusual site venous thromboembolism (VTE) refers to thrombosis occurring in venous districts outside the veins of the lower extremities and the pulmonary arteries, and includes splanchnic vein thrombosis (SVT), cerebral vein thrombosis (CVT), retinal vein thrombosis, ovarian vein thrombosis, and renal vein thrombosis. The use of the novel direct oral anticoagulants (DOAC), thrombin or factor Xa-inhibitors (such as dabigatran, apixaban, edoxaban, rivaroxaban), in patients with unusual VTE in clinical practice is increasing. Through an international multicentre prospective registry, the investigators aim to evaluate the rationale for the use of the DOAC for the treatment of unusual site VTE and to assess the safety and effectiveness of this approach in real life clinical practice.

NCT ID: NCT03778229 Recruiting - Carcinoma Clinical Trials

Osimertinib Plus Savolitinib in EGFRm+/MET+ NSCLC Following Prior Osimertinib

SAVANNAH
Start date: January 9, 2019
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This study (the SAVANNAH study) will investigate the efficacy of osimertinib in combination with savolitinib in patients with EGFRm+ and MET+, locally advanced or metastatic NSCLC who have progressed following treatment with osimertinib

NCT ID: NCT03777072 Recruiting - Pain, Postoperative Clinical Trials

New App for Monitoring Postoperative Pain in Total Ankle Replacement

Start date: December 12, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The study evaluates a novel web-based application for monitoring the postoperative pain in patients undergoing total ankle replacement, from preoperative condition to 30 days follow-up. The indexes provided by the app in terms of percentages of pain areas are compared with that obtained with traditional visual analogue scale. Moreover, the relation between the percentage of pain area and the presence of side effects of the intervention are compared as well.

NCT ID: NCT03776825 Recruiting - Crohn Disease Clinical Trials

UPpCro
Start date: February 7, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this study is to collect data about the efficacy of Permacol Paste treatment in perianal Crohn's Disease.

NCT ID: NCT03775005 Recruiting - Palliative Care Clinical Trials

Short Course Radiation Therapy in Palliative Treatment of Abdominal Cancer

Start date: November 8, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Aim of the study is to assess efficacy of a short course radiation treatment in patients with symptomatic abdominal malignant lesions

NCT ID: NCT03774420 Recruiting - Emergence Delirium Clinical Trials

Post Operative Cognitive Dysfunction After Breast Surgery

Start date: July 3, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Aim of this trial is to define if Post-Operative Cognitive Dysfunction, detected analyzing changes between pre-operative and post-operative Neurocognitive Test, relate to concentration of effector's site concentration of propofol and remifentanil TCI and to the common intraoperative neuromonitoring values.

NCT ID: NCT03773965 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis

A Study of Baricitinib in Participants From 1 Year to Less Than 18 Years Old With Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis

JUVE-X
Start date: April 5, 2019
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The reason for this study is to see if the study drug baricitinib is safe and effective in the treatment of JIA in participants ages 1 to 17. This study is for participants that have been enrolled in studies I4V-MC-JAHV (NCT03773978) or I4V-MC-JAHU.

NCT ID: NCT03773575 Recruiting - Amputation Clinical Trials

Evaluation of Closed Incision Negative Pressure Dressing (PREVENA) to Prevent Lower Extremity Amputation Wound Complications

PREVENA-AMP
Start date: January 15, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study is a prospective, multi-center, two-arm, unblinded, and randomized controlled trial with a goal of evaluating the impact of a closed incision negative pressure dressing (PREVENA) on incidence of post-operative wound complications and medical costs in patients undergoing lower extremity amputation.

NCT ID: NCT03772236 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Ankle Osteoarthritis

Phi Angle and Antero-medial Pain in Total Ankle Replacement Follow-up

Start date: December 4, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The study evaluates the relation between the rotational alignment of the talar component (phi angle) and the antero-medial ankle pain in patients underwent total ankle replacement, at least one year after surgery. Moreover, the study aims to define a range of the phi angle associated with a lower frequency of antero-medial pain.
