NCT ID: NCT05908929 Completed - Periodontitis Clinical Trials

PRF Therapy for Pocket Reduction

Start date: September 15, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Periodontal regenerative therapy has focused on various non-surgical and surgical treatment methods. Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) has shown to possess multiple uses, including properties that promote healing of both soft and hard tissues. In the present study, we hypothesized that the addition of PRF into periodontal pockets, as an adjunct to conventional scaling and root planing (SRP), would enhance the outcomes of non-surgical periodontal therapy. This split-mouth randomized controlled clinical trial included 26 periodontal pocket sites in 13 patients with periodontitis. The pockets were randomly assigned as either test or control sites. In the test group, PRF was placed as an adjunct to SRP, while the control group received SRP alone. Probing pocket depths (PPD), clinical attachment levels (CAL), gingival recession (GR), plaque index (PI), and gingivitis index (GI) were measured at baseline and at six weeks. The wound healing index was measured during the six-week follow-up period.

NCT ID: NCT05908812 Recruiting - Obesity Clinical Trials

Relationship Between Glycemic Control and Irisin in Type 2 Diabetic Patients With Sarcopenic or Non-sarcopenic Obesity

Start date: February 1, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The goal of this observational study is to compare glycemic control and irisin levels in subjects with diabetes mellitus type 2 with sarcopenic obesity vs non-sarcopenic obesity. The main questions it aims to answer are: Is glycemic control worse in diabetic patients with sarcopenic obesity? Are irisin levels higher in patients with non-sarcopenic obesity? Participants will be asked to: - Fill in three questionaries on lifestyle - Perform two physical performance tests The investigators will collect the following data: - Anthropometric measurements - Body composition by bioelectrical impedance analysis. - Results of routine blood analyses - Irisin levels by drawing a vial of blood from the antecubital vein

NCT ID: NCT05907954 Recruiting - Uveal Melanoma Clinical Trials

(Neo)Adjuvant IDE196 (Darovasertib) in Patients With Localized Ocular Melanoma

Start date: July 3, 2023
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Neoadjuvant/adjuvant IDE196 (darovasertib) in patients with primary uveal melanoma

NCT ID: NCT05907655 Recruiting - Migraine Clinical Trials

Study of the Glymphatic System in Migraine

Start date: April 30, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This study aimed to investigate the role of the glymphatic system in the initiation of migraine attacks, using non-invasive magnetic resonance imaging techniques and a validated model of migraine induction by nitroglycerin administration. Secondarily, the relationship between the function of the glymphatic system during nitroglycerin-induced migraine attacks and sleep architecture and plasma levels of migraine-involved neuropeptides will be investigated.

NCT ID: NCT05907434 Recruiting - Acute Kidney Injury Clinical Trials

Cell Cycle Arrest Proteins for Early Diagnosis of Acute Kidney Injury After Lung Transplant

LUTX_AKI
Start date: February 1, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Renal failure is a common complication of lung transplant (LUTX). Early diagnosis of acute kidney injury (AKI) in this cohort is of utmost importance, since AKI after LUTX is associated with worsened short and long-term outcomes. To now, early biomarkers of renal failure based on the measurement of cell-cycle arrest proteins have never been tested in this population.

NCT ID: NCT05907291 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia

Evaluate the Safety, Efficacy, and Pharmacokinetics of CRN04894 in Participants With Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia (TouCAHn)

Start date: July 3, 2023
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this Phase 2, open-label, sequential dose cohort study is to evaluate the safety, efficacy, and pharmacokinetics (PK) of CRN04894 in participants with classic congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH) caused by 21-hydroxylase deficiency.

NCT ID: NCT05907200 Completed - Systemic Sclerosis Clinical Trials

Ultrasound Therapy and Manual Therapy in Digital Ischemic Ulcers

Start date: April 1, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The objective of this before-after non-randomized trial study is to evaluate the efficacy of ultrasound therapy in combination with manual therapy in the management of systemic sclerosis patients with IDU. The main questions it intends to answer are: • Is this combination of treatments effective in these patients in terms of improvement in hand functional ability, pain relief, injury healing, and quality of life? Participants will receive rehabilitation treatment consisting of a combination of manual therapy (McMennel joint manipulation, pumping, and connective tissue massage) and US water immersion. The researchers will compare the group of participants, called the treatment group, with a control group to see if: • Is the combined treatment of ultrasound therapy and manual therapy more effective in these patients than manual therapy alone?

NCT ID: NCT05907122 Recruiting - Melanoma Clinical Trials

A Study to Evaluate Similarity of ABP 206 Compared With OPDIVO® (Nivolumab) in Subjects With Resected Melanoma

Start date: July 26, 2023
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to investigate the pharmacokinetic (PK) similarity and efficacy, safety, and immunogenicity of ABP 206 compared with OPDIVO® (nivolumab) in subjects with resected advanced melanoma.
