NCT ID: NCT04698668 Completed - Walled Off Cavity Clinical Trials

Evaluation of the Outcomes and Performances of the Application of Augmented Reality in Operative Digestive Endoscopy

Start date: February 12, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Virtual reality obtained by the fusion of images can be applied to several fields of medicine leading to the so called "augmented reality". Since 2017 investigators have been using a new digital angiographic system (Discovery IGS 40, General Electrics), where fluoroscopy can be fused with pre-procedural CT o MRI. Specifically the present study aimed at verifying the advantages that fusion imaging could bring in EUS-guided drainage of post-pancreatitis fluid collection (PFC), i.e. pseudocysts or WON, in terms of more appropriate visualization, drainage approach and time needed for resolution.

NCT ID: NCT04698161 Completed - Clinical trials for Non Small Cell Lung Cancer

Establishment of the Human Intestinal and Salivary Microbiota Biobank - Oncologic Diseases

BIOMIS-Onco
Start date: February 25, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This is a prospective, clinical, multicentre study aimed to collect biological samples and study microbiota from subjects with non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and metastatic melanoma. Microbiota is a complex consortium of microorganisms, located at the mucosal level (in particular intestinal, oral and vaginal) having a key role in human health and in the onset of several diseases. Microbiota alterations have been found in several diseases (gastrointestinal, metabolic, renal, oncological, gynaecological) The study will allow to: - Provide biological samples (faeces, saliva, blood, urine) from oncologic patients to the first Italian microbiota biobank; - Study microorganisms using different in vitro and in vivo techniques; - Study the link between the microbiota and the disease. This study is part of the BIOMIS project (Project Code: ARS01_01220), presented as part of the "Avviso per la presentazione di progetti di ricerca industriale e sviluppo sperimentale nelle 12 aree di specializzazione individuate dal PNR 2015-2020" and admitted to funding under the National Operational Program "Ricerca e Innovazione" 2014-2020 by directorial decree of MIUR - Department for Higher Education and Research - n. 2298 of 12 September 2018. NCT ID: NCT04697121 Completed - Clinical trials for Hypercholesterolemia

Artichoke and Bergamot Phytosome

Start date: February 21, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

According to WHO data, about 50% of deaths each year are caused by cardiovascular disease. One of the strategies for prevention of cardiovascular diseases, in addition to a correct lifestyle, is to implement therapies that reduce the level of cholesterol in the blood and at the same time control the glycemic levels, which are closely related in the maintenance of metabolic homeostasis. The aim of this clinical study is to confirm the potential broader activity as hypocholesterolemic agent in bergamot poor-responders subjects with mild hypercholesterolemia. The study was a 8-week randomized double-blind placebo-controlled trial. Participants were randomized to either the supplement based on dry extract from artichoke leaf and bergamot phospholipid (31) or placebo arm (29).

NCT ID: NCT04696510 Completed - Migraine Clinical Trials

Physiopathology, Diagnosis and Therapy of Primary Cephalalgia and Adaptive Disorders

Start date: August 31, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The main aim of the present pilot study is to prove the possibility to use the Nitroglycerin (NTG) model to describe the pathophysiology of headache using task-free advanced Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) techniques, in order to depict the static changes of the ictal and inter-ictal phase of migraine attacks vs the pain free state in healthy subjects and to compare that with the spontaneous headache attack experienced by chronic migraineurs.
