NCT ID: NCT00823979 Terminated - HIV-1 Clinical Trials

A Phase 2B Multicenter, Randomized, Comparative Trial Of UK-453,061 Versus Etravirine In Combination With Darunavir/Ritonavir And A Nucleos(t)Ide Reverse Transcriptase Inhibitor For The Treatment Of Antiretroviral Experienced HIV-1 Infected Subjects With Evidence Of NNRTI Resistant HIV-1

Start date: March 25, 2009
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is a 96 week study to determine if UK- 453,061 in combination with Darunavir /ritonavir and a Nucleos(t)ide Reverse Transcriptase inhibitor is as efficacious, safe and tolerable as etravirine in combination with Darunavir /ritonavir and a Nucleos(t)ide Reverse Transcriptase inhibitor in HIV-1 infected patients who have been previously treated with antiretroviral drugs and have NNRTI resistance mutations.

NCT ID: NCT00820924 Terminated - Neoplasms, Breast Clinical Trials

Study of Lapatinib in Breast Cancer Patients With HER-2 Non-amplified Primary Tumors and HER-2 Positive or EGFR Positive Circulating Tumor Cells

Start date: June 2008
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The underlying biology of the various patterns of metastasis observed in different tumour types remains unclear. The detection and characterization of circulating tumour cells in cancer patients has provided important new information about the progression of metastatic events. This information has important implications for cancer prognosis and therapy. This multicenter open-label study is designed as a two-stage three-outcome phase II trial. The aim is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of daily dose of Lapatinib in advanced breast cancer patients with HER-2 non-amplified primary tumours and HER-2 or EGFR positive circulating tumour cells. Evaluation of HER-2 and EGFR status on circulating tumour cells will be performed by the means of the CellSearch equipment (Immunicon, Huntingdon Valley, PA, USA) and FISH method (PathVysion Kit -Abbott Laboratories).

NCT ID: NCT00819221 Terminated - Solid Tumors Clinical Trials

AZD2281 in Combination With Liposomal Doxorubicin in Advanced Solid Tumours

Start date: January 5, 2009
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The study will be an open label, multicenter, dose finding study. Depending on the tolerated dose up to 7 dose levels will be explored in this study, approximately 33 patients (21-54 depending on number of cohorts) may be enrolled into this study. Three patients will be initially dosed in each cohort. The primary objective of this study is to determine the recommended dose (RD) of twice daily oral doses of AZD2281 either as intermittent therapy for 7 days out of a 28-day schedule or given continuously, administered in combination with liposomal doxorubicin to patients with advanced solid tumors.

NCT ID: NCT00811018 Terminated - Clinical trials for Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension

A Long-Term, Open-Label Study to Evaluate the Safety of Sitaxsentan Sodium Treatment in Patients With Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension

STRIDE-3
Start date: March 2003
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This is a multi-center, open-label study of sitaxsentan sodium 100 mg taken orally once daily by subjects with PAH until sitaxsentan, in a particular country or region, is commercially available for the treatment of PAH or the study is closed.

NCT ID: NCT00806351 Terminated - Neutropenia Clinical Trials

An Evaluation Of The Effectiveness And Safety Of Anidulafungin Compared To Caspofungin For The Treatment Of Serious Fungal Infection Due To Candida In Patients With A Dysfunctional Immune System

Start date: August 2009
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to gather information on the use of anidulafungin for the treatment of Candida infection in patients with an abnormal immune system. It is expected that anidulafungin will be at least as safe and as effective as the comparator drug, caspofungin.
