There are about 5618 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in India. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This study is open to adults with Progressive Fibrosing Interstitial Lung Diseases (PF-ILDs). People who have a form of PF-ILD other than Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) can join the study. If they already take nintedanib, they can continue treatment throughout the study. The purpose of this study is to find out whether a medicine called BI 1015550 helps people with PF-ILD. Participants are put into 3 groups randomly, which means by chance. Participants in 2 groups take different doses of BI 1015550 as tablets twice a day. Participants in the placebo group take placebo tablets twice a day. Placebo tablets look like BI 1015550 tablets but do not contain any medicine. Participants are in the study for up to two and a half years. During the first year, they visit the study site 10 times. Afterwards, they visit the study site every 3 months. The doctors regularly test participants' lung function. The results of the lung function tests are compared between the groups. The doctors also regularly check participants' health and take note of any unwanted effects.
Study RNLC3132 is a Phase 3, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, multicenter study to assess the efficacy and safety of rifaximin SSD-40mg IR for the delay of the first episode of overt hepatic encephalopathy (OHE) decompensation in liver cirrhosis, defined by the presence of medically controlled ascites.
Children with West syndrome are prone to refractory seizures with poor neurocognitive outcome overall. The current standard of care consists of treatment with ACTH, but the grade of evidence is not high and not much RCTs are available. Ketogenic diet is an effective and well tolerated treatment option in drug refractory epilepsy and also in refractory west syndrome. In view of minimal side effects, better cost parameters and ability to continue for a longer duration our study aiims to investigate the efficacy of ketogenic diet as a first line therapy in comparison to ACTH therapy. Children with west syndrome after satisfying the inclusion and exclusion criteria will be randomised into the two treatment arms and primary response will be noted at the end of 6 weeks of therapy in terms of mean percentage of spasm reduction.
Per Oral Endoscopic Myotomy (POEM) is performed for various esophageal muscular disorders, including achalasia and other spastic esophageal conditions. It is performed with the standard endoscope and involves dissecting the esophageal muscle sphincter. The procedure is typically completed using standard monopolar energy, which are effective, but can be associated with post-procedural pain. More importantly, frequent exchange of various instruments are required in order to cut the right layers and to stop bleeding. The Speedboat-RSD is FDA approved for dissection of various tissue within the gastrointestinal tract tract but only a few studies have evaluated its use in POEM. Currently, the investigators have been performing EGD with POEM procedures using Speedboat-RSD as a standard of care procedure. The investigators would like to compare the performance of the standard monopolar ERBE knife to the bipolar Speedboat-RSD knife in POEM. The investigators hypothesize the bipolar knife will allow for efficient completion of the POEM procedure with less post procedural pain.
This is a randomized multi-centre, assessor-blind, parallel-group study to be conducted in 250 women in the age group of 20 to 39 years (both inclusive), who are indicated to undergo COS as part of assisted reproductive technology (ART). The participant will receive r-hFSH, fixed-dose for 5 days, and day 6 onwards the dose may be adjusted for a single cycle of COS followed by ART procedures, and post-ART follow-up for ongoing pregnancy. The primary and secondary outcomes will be captured on days as per protocol. Adverse events will be noted for safety evaluation.
The purpose of this study is to learn more about the safety and efficacy of tirzepatide compared to placebo in children or teenagers with type 2 diabetes taking metformin, or basal insulin, or both. The overall study will last about 60 weeks with up to 14 clinic visits and 6 phone visits. Clinic visits will include blood sample collection, physical exam and questionnaire.
For patients undergoing a psychiatric crisis, hospitalisation is required. In developing countries specially in sub-urban or rural areas, most patients don't access intensive care. In India, AYUSH system of medical care is widely used, including crisis resolution and community treatment have been widely implemented in various mental health systems. However, evidence to support their effectiveness has remained very low. Present study is designed as community based participatory research, where Ayurveda treatment , a short-term, specialised, crisis intervention is provided by community outreach team.
A randomized, placebo-controlled study designed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of paltusotine (formerly CRN00808; an oral selective nonpeptide somatostatin receptor type 2 biased agonist) in subjects with non-pharmacologically treated acromegaly.
The purpose of this study is to conduct a multi-country, multi-site, epidemiologic study designed to assess the proportion of interferon gamma release assay (IGRA) positivity, at site level, and to build capacity to conduct a future TB vaccine efficacy study.
The objective of this clinical trial is to collect data on procedural safety and device performance of the Portico and Navitor devices and FlexNav delivery system to treat patients with severe aortic stenosis in the Indian population.
