There are about 9745 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Israel. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is the long term effect of severely distressing traumatic event characterized by intrusive thoughts, nightmares, and avoidance. Brain imaging of PTSD patients demonstrate alterations in regional brain perfusion, with stunned, hypoperfused regions. Those brain-biological pathologies may be responsible for the limited success rate of currently available interventions. During the last years data regarding Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) induced neuroplasticity accumulated. A number of studies in traumatic brain injury, cerebrovascular attacks, and fibromyalgia have presented evidence of improved perfusion and recovery of metabolic brain tissues, accompanied by clinical improvement under HBOT even years after the acute insults. Considerable evidence supports potential benefit of HBOT on PTSD, however, no clinical trial was done on this pure PTSD population. The aim of the proposed study is to examine hyperbaric oxygen therapy as a treatment for PTSD. Advanced brain imaging and functional analysis tools will be used to evaluate treatment's effect.
The proposed study is designed to further demonstrate the performance of the Nociception Level (NoL) Index - in surgical patient under general anesthesia, by evaluating its response to controlled changes in the levels of noxious stimuli/analgesia and to correlate early outcome predictors to the NoL values throughout the surgical procedure, thus provide the medical caregiver general recommendations on how to interpret the NoL Index in terms of magnitude and direction, and how to utilize it during the surgical procedure.
The study is a randomized controlled trial of a cognitive behavioral interventions and an art-based stress reduction treatment protocol (CB-ART) with 100 women, identified with elevated perceived stress, before undergoing IVF treatment; in order to examine its effect on perceived stress, plasma CFD, telomere length and pregnancy rates. CB-ART is a 6-session treatment protocol that has been utilized with women coping with stress, depression and pain and is effective in reducing these indicators, developed and evaluated by our research team. The treatment protocol emphasizes processing together with the client's recalled image, symptom or memory (ISM) pertaining to a current distressing mental or physical state. CB-ART is a multi-method model that integrates cognitive behavioral interventions and art-based stress reduction interventions. The innovation in this method is the transformation of imagined and drawn images and memories rather than solely verbally discussing their contents. The focus is on changing compositional elements that comprise each image and memory, thus providing a therapeutic venue to reframe and transform stress producing, recalled images and memories and reduce symptoms of perceived stress. Art making is beneficial for eliciting an emotional response and provides a concrete platform to conduct the cognitive processing that initiate change on the paper and then in the mind. Furthermore, the soothing qualities of interacting with art making foster and enhance behavioral relaxation techniques. Our study population, women with infertility problems, who are designated to undergo IVF treatment and have been identified to have elevated perceived stress scores on the Perceived Stress Scale (above 15) will be randomized and allocated to receive the CB-ART intervention tailored to reduce stress or treatment as usual.
The AssiAnchor 2 is a fixation ophthalmic device. The device is manufactured by Hanita Lenses from PMMA material which is being used for the production of Intra-ocular lenses. The device is intended for patients requiring capsule centration to clip the anterior lens capsule between the arms of the device and secure it to the scleral wall.
The objectives of this study are to assess the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of PLX-PAD intramuscular administration for the treatment of muscle injury following arthroplasty for HF.
The primary objectives of this study are to evaluate the efficacy of gefapixant (MK-7264) in reducing cough frequency as measured over a 24-hour period, and to determine the safety and tolerability of gefapixant. The primary hypothesis is that at least one dose of gefapixant is superior to placebo in reducing coughs per hour (over 24 hours) at Week 24.
The main objectives of this study will be to evaluate the efficacy of gefapixant in reducing cough frequency as measured over a 24-hour period at Week 12, and to evaluate the safety and tolerability of gefapixant. The primary hypothesis is that at least one gefapixant dose is superior to placebo in reducing coughs per hour (over 24 hours) at Week 12.
This study will evaluate the efficacy of VX-659 in triple combination (TC) with tezacaftor (TEZ) and ivacaftor (IVA) in subjects with cystic fibrosis (CF) who are heterozygous for F508del and a minimal function mutation (F/MF subjects).
Background: The Feuerstein Instrumental Enrichment Program was designed to prevent mental deterioration and preserve cognitive abilities among people aged 60 and above. The program is an applied practicable program based on the theories of Structural Cognitive Modifiability as well as on a Mediated Learning Experience. The program takes into consideration the unique characteristics and requirements of the older population. The program is composed of a variety of cognitive tasks that offer systematic activities intended to stimulate mental and cognitive development. Objective: To examine the influence of the Feuerstein Program on brain functional connectivity as measured by MRI assessments and cognitive function of participants suffering from Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI). Hypothesis: The Feuerstein Program will improve cognitive abilities and affect brain functional connectivity. Methods: Residents of retirement homes will be offered to participate in the study. Participants will undergo cognitive and MRI assessments prior to and following a period of cognitive intervention using the Feuerstein Instrumental Enrichment Program.
A retrospective study based on Thai data from Nutrition Day study (nD). Comparing clinical outcome between malnourished patients who were prescribed oral nutrition supplement along with hospital diet and those without oral nutrition supplement.
