There are about 9745 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Israel. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Comparison of two non-invasive methods for measuring tissue oxygenation. One is Transcutaneous Oxygen Pressure (TCPO2) and the other is the new method of Near Infrared Spectroscopy (NIRS) - near infrared spectroscopy in patients with critical limb ischemia (CLI) undergoing invasive treatment (surgical or endovascular).
The purpose of this study is to compare efficacy and safety of add-on treatment with a moderately high dose of D-serine, an NMDA-glycine site agonist, in young, recent onset schizophrenia patients who suffer from significant symptoms despite treatment with antipsychotics.
This study is designed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of tofacitinib (CP-690,550) in patients with moderate to severe ulcerative colitis who have failed or be intolerant to one of following treatments for ulcerative colitis: oral steroids, azathiopurine/6-mercaptopurine, or anti-TNF-alpha therapy.
Prospective, Single arm, Multi-Center 1. To establish the safety and preliminary efficacy of the Check-Cap System in patients with negative FOBT (Fecal Occult Blood Test) 2. To collect data about the overall imaging of the colon internal surface during the passage of the capsule 3. To develop a correlation map between the imaging of the polyps by optical colonoscopy vs. the images of same polyps by the Check-Cap capsule vs. the imaging of same polyps by CT Colonography [CTC] (in patients which were referred after positive CTC examination)
Vascular access in patients carries a significant risk of accidental extravasation of intravenous (IV) fluids and medications with the potential for tissue injury. This prospective controlled study assessed the diagnostic utility of using intravenous diluted sodium bicarbonate to confirm placement of IV catheters in volunteers . Diluted sodium bicarbonate or 0.9% normal saline, will be injected in a randomized order while end-tidal carbon dioxide in the exhaled air will be monitored. The investigators hypothesize that the injected bicarbonate will dissolve into carbon dioxide and water and cause a transient increase in the measured exhaled CO2. The effect is unique to bicarbonate and will not appear once normal saline is injected. the safety of the administration of bicarbonate on the metabolic profile of the volunteers will be assessed by measurement of venous blood pH and electrolytes.
The study proposes to assess whether compared to placebo, CP-690,550 is effective, safe, and tolerable maintenance therapy in subjects with Ulcerative Colitis (UC). The study proposes to assess whether compared to placebo, CP-690,550 maintenance therapy more effectively achieves mucosal healing and improves quality of life in subjects with UC.The study proposes to assess CP-690,550 pharmacokinetic exposure during maintenance therapy in subjects over the age of 18 years with UC.
The purpose of this study is to assess whether triclosan-coated sutures reduces wound infections compared to regular non-coated sutures, after saphenous vein harvesting in CABG patients.
This randomized, multicenter, double-blind, placebo-controlled study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of onartuzumab (MetMAb) in combination with Tarceva (erlotinib) in participants with incurable non-small cell lung cancer identified to be Met diagnostic-positive. Participants will be randomized to receive either onartuzumab (MetMAb) or placebo in combination with erlotinib. Anticipated time on study treatment is until disease progression or unacceptable toxicity occurs.
The objective of this Trial is to evaluate the performance of RPh201 as a treatment for the healing of partial thickness burns. It is further postulated that deep second degree lesions will benefit from the RPh201 treatment promoting granulation and epithelialization as well as wound closure.
The aim of the trial is to investigate asthma control with 160 to 640 μg ciclesonide/day. Asthma control will be assessed by the Asthma Control Questionnaire (ACQ).
