There are about 9745 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Israel. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The objective of this cross-sectional, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial is to enhance our understanding of the pain modulation mechanisms in females diagnosed with Fibromyalgia syndrome (FMS). This study is designed to address several key questions: 1. Is there a discernible difference in the effectiveness of the two prevalent pain modulation approaches, namely Conditioned Pain Modulation (CPM) and Offset Analgesia (OA), in individuals with FMS? To answer this, both FMS patients and an age- and sex-matched healthy control group will engage in these paradigms outside of the MRI scanner. 2. How does Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) influence CPM and OA in FMS patients? Here, the study will observe the performance of FMS patients in both paradigms after receiving treatments with THC and a placebo, conducted outside the scanner. 3. What neural alterations in pain modulation circuits are triggered by THC? To investigate this, FMS patients will undergo the OA test inside the MRI scanner following both THC and placebo treatments. 4. How does THC affect resting-state brain function in FMS patients? This part of the study involves resting-state brain scans to measure changes in functional connectivity following treatments with THC and a placebo.
This study will assess the efficacy and safety of vamikibart in participants with uveitic macular edema.
The goal of this clinical trial is to assesses the safety of autologous RD2 Ver.02 as compared to a control for managing transsphincteric and intersphinsteric anal fistulas. The main questions it aims to answer are: Assess the safety and efficacy of RD2 Ver.02 in anal fistula application, compared to control. Complication rate by 6 months of anal fistula treatment with RD2 Ver.02 compared to control. Recurrence of anal fistula at 12 months post-treatment Incidence of perirectal infection by 6 months in anal fistulas treated with RD2 Ver.02 compared to control. Patients will be randomized in to 2 arms. For all patients, blood will be drawn to ensure the blinding of the patients, the fistula will be evaluated and debrided, and then the internal fistula opening will be suture-closed, and a water leak test will be performed to ensure sealing. Following the water leak test, In the treatment arm, the patient's own coagulating blood will be applied into the entire fistula tract, allowing it to clot and serve as a provisional matrix inside the fistula tract. In the control arm, the blood sample will be discarded and saline will be applied to the fistula tract.
In this study, the investigators will prospectively collect, analyze and integrate information regarding vaginal microbiome composition and HPV presence in women with cervical pathologies (high-grade CIN and CC) and controls, to construct a large dataset from patients with pre-cancerous cervical lesions and healthy women, to evaluate the personalized contribution of the vaginal microbiome to the CIN-CC sequence.
The trial will evaluate efficacy, safety and tolerability of two regimens of ianalumab compared to placebo, given as monthly or quarterly subcutaneous (s.c.) injection on top of standard-of-care (SoC) treatment in participants with active systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).
Anifrolumab Study of Treatment Effectiveness in the Real World (ASTER) study will collect real world data to obtain a good understanding of the (sustained) clinical effect and patient quality of life outcomes among diagnosed SLE patients who initiate anifrolumab treatment. ASTER will generate critical real-world evidence on the benefits of adding anifrolumab to standard of care treatment for SLE in routine clinical practice, to inform physicians, payers and patients.
This study will be done to see if ziltivekimab can be used to treat people living with heart failure and inflammation. Participants will either get ziltivekimab or placebo. Participants will get study medicine for once-monthly injections either in a pre-filled syringe to inject the study medicine into a skinfold or a pen-injector to inject the study medicine into flat skin. The study is expected to last for up to 4 years. Participants will have up to 20 clinic visits. Participants will have to use a study app on their phone to record and share information about all their injections of study medicine and to fill in questionnaires.
The goal of this platform clinical trial is to test how well novel treatment combinations work in participants with lung cancer. Substudy-01 will compare the different novel combinations versus standard of care in participants with metastatic (cancer that has spread) non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) who have have not been treated before. Substudy-02 will compare the different novel combination versus standard of care in participants with cancer that has progressed after receiving previous treatment for metastatic NSCLC. Substudy-03 will compare the different novel combinations versus standard of care in participants with resectable stage II-III NSCLC. The primary objectives of this study are: Substudy-01 and Substudy-02: To evaluate the objective response rate (ORR) assessed per Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors Version 1.1 (RECIST v1.1). Substudy-03: To evaluate the efficacy of treatment combinations based on complete pathological response (pCR) rate.
