NCT ID: NCT05627622 Recruiting - Urinary Tract Stone Clinical Trials

Effectiveness of WhatsApp Education and Support Messages for Urolithiasis Prevention

StoneApp
Start date: January 1, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Kidney and ureteral stones are a common problem in primary care practice with increasing prevalence over the last few decades. Prevention of recurrent stones (which are usually composed primarily of calcium oxalate) is aimed at decreasing the concentrations of the lithogenic factors. There are several metabolic and dietary treatable components. In all patients with urolithiasis, adequate fluid intake and lower body mass index are key components to reducing the risk of recurrent stones. For most patients, additional beneficial dietary modifications are increasing intake of fruits and vegetables which are rich in potassium, and reducing intake of candies and sweetened juices which are rich in sucrose and fructose. In addition, for patients who have been prescribed medications, adherence to medication may become an important issue over the long term. Mobile technology has the potential to optimize health care and patient's adherence, especially through personal education and dissemination of health information. One of the most common technologies available on mobile is the WhatsApp Messenger® application. WhatsApp is a freeware messaging service; it allows streamlining patient-provider communication via text and voice messages, video clips and images. The research hypotheses are, first, that use of WhatsApp to disseminate information regarding stones preventive measures will have a substantial positive effect on follow-up compliance and on patient's adherence to the preventive measures. Second, the investigators expect reduction in cumulative stone recurrence rate.

NCT ID: NCT05625399 Recruiting - Melanoma Clinical Trials

A Study of Subcutaneous Nivolumab + Relatlimab Fixed-dose Combination (FDC) in Previously Untreated Metastatic or Unresectable Melanoma

RELATIVITY-127
Start date: March 6, 2023
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to demonstrate that the study drug exposure level of the nivolumab + relatlimab FDC subcutaneous (SC) formulation is not worse than nivolumab + relatlimab FDC intravenous (IV) administration in participants with previously untreated metastatic or unresectable melanoma.

NCT ID: NCT05624450 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Viral Lung Infection and Acute Respiratory Failure

Efficacy and Safety of Tozorakimab in Patients Hospitalised for Viral Lung Infection Requiring Supplemental Oxygen

TILIA
Start date: December 13, 2022
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of tozorakimab, as an add-on to SoC in patients with viral lung infection requiring supplemental oxygen, on the prevention of death or progression to IMV/ECMO.

NCT ID: NCT05624372 Recruiting - no Conditions Clinical Trials

Speech Perception in Noise in Children With ADHD

ME
Start date: May 22, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

We are going to assess an ability of speech perception in voice in children diagnosed with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), comparing to normal control group. This is an attempt to understand the factors influencing on this ability.

NCT ID: NCT05623020 Recruiting - Multiple Myeloma Clinical Trials

A Study to Learn About the Effects of the Combination of Elranatamab (PF-06863135), Daratumumab, and Lenalidomide Compared With Daratumumab, Lenalidomide, and Dexamethasone in Patients With Newly Diagnosed Multiple Myeloma Who Are Not Candidates for Transplant

MagnetisMM-6
Start date: November 10, 2022
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

Elranatamab is a bispecific antibody: binding of elranatamab to CD3-expressing T-cells and BCMA-expressing multiple myeloma cells causes targeted T-cell-mediated cytotoxicity. The main purpose of the study is to evaluate if the combination of Elranatamab, Daratumumab and Lenalidomide offers superior clinical benefit compared with the combination of Daratumumab, Lenalidomide and Dexamethasone in people with multiple myeloma. There are 2 parts to this study. Part 1 will characterize the safety and tolerability of elranatamab when administered in combination with daratumumab and lenalidomide and will identify the optimal dose(s) of the combination regimen. Part 2 of the study will evaluate the minimal residual disease (MRD) negativity rate and the progression free survival (PFS) of the combination of elranatamab, daratumumab, and lenalidomide compared with the combination of daratumumab, lenalidomide, and dexamethasone in participants with newly diagnosed transplant-ineligible multiple myeloma.

NCT ID: NCT05622708 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Non-radiographic Axial Spondyloarthritis

A Study of Secukinumab to Evaluate Maintenance of Response in Participants With Non-radiographic Axial Spondyloarthritis Who Achieved Remission

Start date: March 28, 2023
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

This study will establish whether prolonged chronic dosing with secukinumab is needed in participants with Non-radiographic axial spondyloarthritis, (nr-axSpA) who have achieved remission. Remission is defined as Ankylosing Spondylitis Disease Activity Score - C-reactive protein (ASDAS-CRP) Inactive Disease (ID) response (ASDAS-CRP < 1.3). Maintenance of remission on continued secukinumab treatment will be evaluated compared to placebo using a randomized withdrawal design. The primary outcome measure for this study is the proportion of participants remaining flare-free at Week 120.

NCT ID: NCT05622214 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Eosinophilic Esophagitis

The Efficacy and Tolerability of 12-weeks Treatment With Almond and Buckwheat Based Formula in Pediatric Patients With Active EoE

Start date: July 25, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) is a chronic, relapsing, immune-mediated esophageal disease. Clinical manifestations in infants and toddlers generally include vomiting, food refusal, choking with meals and, less commonly, failure to thrive. The management of the disease includes dietary and pharmaceutical interventions, and the goal of the treatment should ideally be both the resolution of symptoms and the normalization of the macroscopic and microscopic abnormalities. Milk is the most common food trigger identified, followed by wheat, soy, and eggs. The aim of the study is to examine the tolerability of a new plant based formula made of minimally processed almond and buckwheat and enriched with vitamins and minerals.

NCT ID: NCT05618457 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Aminoglycoside Dosing Based on PK/PD Characteristics

Adjustment of Aminoglycoside Dosing Based on Peak Serum Concentration and Bacterial Minimal Inhibitory Concentration

Start date: December 1, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Aminoglycoside (AG) antibiotics have been in clinical use since the 1960s for treating various infections. The main safety concern related to AG use is nephrotoxicity. Based on validated pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic (PK-PD) principles shown to predict efficacy, AG dosing has shifted over the past 2 decades from multiple daily dosing to extended-interval dosing, with concomitant reduction in nephrotoxicity. Currently, AG daily dose is calculated according to the patients' adjusted body weight, assuming a common minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) value. We hypothesize that once pathogen identity and actual MIC become available, AG daily doses may be further adjusted, using the same PK-PD indices. In order to investigate this hypothesis, we are conducting a prospective clinical study in which AG doses will be adjusted based on patient- and pathogen-specific factors, while assessing efficacy and safety.
