There are about 9745 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Israel. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The Staphylococcus aureus Network Adaptive Platform (SNAP) trial is an International Multi-Centered Randomised Adaptive Platform Clinical Trial to evaluate a range of interventions to reduce mortality for patients with Staphylococcus Aureus bacteraemia (SAB).
The purpose of this study is to evaluate a unique culturally-tailored intervention aimed at increasing healthy eating and physical activity in Ultra-Orthodox Jewish women during the COVID-19 pandemic. Utilizing a pre-post study design, this intervention is based on the CDC's Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) and integrates low-tech media, partner learning, group support, and practical workbook content.
One Anastomosis Gastric Bypass (OAGB) surgery is a type of bariatric surgery (BS) which is gaining popularity worldwide and is considered to be a simple, safe and effective bariatric procedure in terms of weight loss and comorbidities resolution. However, only limited data exists on the nutritional and gastrointestinal (GI) consequences of this procedure. This study aimed to gain information on GI and nutritional parameters from a large sample of OAGB patients living in 3 different countries. Post-OAGB patients across Israel (n=277), Spain (n=105) and Portugal (n=111) were recruited to the study based on the time elapsed since surgery [1-6 months (1-6M), 6-12 months (6-12M) and 1-5 years (1-5Y) post-surgery]. Participants were asked to complete an anonymous survey delivered by SurveyMonkey®️ software which included data on demographics, comorbidities, anthropometrics, GI outcomes and satisfaction with the procedure.
Up-to-date, no studies have examined the attentional, sensory and emotional processing (difficulties) among patients diagnosed with Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). In addition, the efficiency of drug treatments that focus on the noradrenergic and dopaminergic, and thus influence attention processing and PTSD symptoms through these pathways, have only briefly been investigated. There is well-established and long-standing evidence for the involvement of dopamine and noradrenaline in attentional function. This previously led to an investigation by the investigator's research lab in which the investigators hypothesized the involvement of an attentional disorder would influence PTSD symptoms in a rat model. Based on these results, the current study aims to characterize attentional deficits in patients with PTSD, as well as the correlation between attention, emotional regulation and sensory processing. The investigators do this partially by conducting a case-control study and through a subsequent double-blind RCT (with only the cases). The patients will be either treated with reboxetine + methylphenidate or placebo.
RBN-2397 inhibits PARP7, an enzyme that is switched on by cancer stresses, such as the toxins in cigarette smoke. Cancer cells use PARP7 to hide from the immune system by stopping the cell from sending a signal (Type 1 interferon) that tells the immune system that something is wrong and to kill the cell. RBN-2397 has been shown in animal and human studies to inhibit tumor growth and also shuts down the "don't kill me" signal the tumor is sending to evade the immune system. The purpose of this study is to determine if RBN-2397 in combination with pembrolizumab (a PD-1 inhibitor) has the ability to restore the response to treatment in patients with SCCL that have been previously treated with a PD-1/PD-1 ligand (PD-L1) inhibitor and have had a response followed by disease progression. The Phase 1b portion of the study will assess the safety of RBN-2397 in combination with pembrolizumab (a PD-1 inhibitor) and define the dose of RBN-2397 to be used in combination with pembrolizumab for the Phase 2. The Phase 2 portion of the study will assess the anti-tumor activity of RBN-2397 in combination with pembrolizumab.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of ascending doses of ION582 administered intrathecally in participants with Angelman syndrome.
To evaluate the efficacy, safety and tolerability of the cannabinoid-based medication SCI-110 compared to placebo in subjects with Tourette syndrome.
Evaluation of long-term efficacy outcomes of patients previously treated with the Alpha DaRT seeds for management of their malignancy following initial response.
The intent of this evaluation is to obtain user feedback on device performance, user preference, image quality, workflow, and new device features, a necessary part of product development. This study will also help to inform protocol development in reducing both scan time and/or radiologic tracer dose. The goal of this study is to collect a library of image data from the hybrid PET/CT system to be used for evaluation and optimization of the image quality of the system in a clinical setting and as comparison with the standard of care hybrid PET/CT system, Discovery MI 25m (DMI5R).
The study is designed to assess the effect of a 3-month remote comprehensive intervention program by a multidisciplinary team combined with mobile supportive text messages aimed to raise the level of happiness and subjective wellbeing, on weight outcomes and physical and behavioral parameters among bariatric surgery patients after sleeve gastrectomy who had a weight regain of ≥10% from nadir, compared to a control group which will receive standard care of a single meeting with the study's registered dietitian at the clinic and then be advised to continue follow up.
