There are about 2333 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Ireland. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The Study 1. Prospective trial of the Niv score validating score against known activity indices - see addendum A for Niv score 2. Known Crohn's disease patients undergoing capsule endoscopy are identified - see addendum B for inclusion/exclusion criteria 3. Prior to capsule exam, temperature is taken, height and weight measured, bloods are drawn for albumin, ESR, HCT, CRP 4. Prior to capsule exam, symptom/exam questionnaire is completed - see addendum C for questionnaire 5. Capsule exam is performed 6. CD of de-identified is made at the study site. 7. Landmarks are confirmed and the small bowel transit time is divided into 2 and labeled on thumbnails 8. CDs are copied 9. CDs of study patients are provided to blinded readers
This is an observational safety study being conducted in Europe comparing patients taking Xagrid to patients taking other cytoreductive treatments. The plan is to enrol at least 750 subjects taking Xagrid with up to 3000 subjects taking other cytoreductive therapies. The study will collect follow up data for 5 years for each patient enrolled that will focus on collecting data related to pre-defined events (PDEs) and Suspected Serious Adverse Reactions (SSARs).
The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of 400 mg QD nevirapine extended release (NVP XR) formulation versus 200 mg BID nevirapine immediate release (NVP IR) in ARV therapy naïve HIV-1 infected patients after 48 weeks of treatment. Secondary objectives are to evaluate safety and pharmacokinetics of NVP XR and NVP IR.
This is a phase II a, double-blind, randomized, parallel-design, four-week study to investigate the efficacy, safety and tolerability of two different doses of SPP635 in type II diabetic patients with mild to moderate hypertension and albuminuria. The total study duration for patients completing the entire study will be approximately 7 weeks including a 2 weeks Screening Phase, 1 week Wash-out Phase, 4 week Treatment Phase and 1 week Follow-up Phase. All treatments other than certain antihypertensive drugs (which are to be washed-out) with an effect on BP and all antidiabetic treatments must be kept at stable dose during the whole study. A maximum of 50 patients in total is planned to be enrolled.
CP 751,871 is a fully human monoclonal antibody against the Insulin-Like Growth Factor 1 Receptor (IGF-1R). Preclinical and clinical data indicate that CP 751,871 augments the anti-tumor activity of chemotherapy. This study will identify the Maximal Tolerated Dose of CP 751,871 (or the Maximal Feasible Dose) in combination with standard gemcitabine-cisplatin chemotherapy for the treatment of advanced Non-Small Cell Lung cancer.
Patients who have participated in previous studies with Tacrolimus ointment for atopic eczema are entitled to enter this four-year follow study to investigate the safety of treatment with Tacrolimus ointment 0.1%
The objective of this study is to assess the safety and efficacy of 0.03% tacrolimus ointment as long-term treatment in paediatric patients with atopic dermatitis.
The purpose of this study is to determine whether a weekly subcutaneous dose of abatacept yields clinical efficacy comparable to that of monthly intravenous doses of abatacept in participants with rheumatoid arthritis and an inadequate response to current methotrexate therapy.
This study will evaluate the dose response relationship among four doses of indacaterol as well as placebo delivered via the TWISTHALER® device.
The primary objective of this trial is to demonstrate that the fixed dose combination of telmisartan 40mg + amlodipine 10mg (T40/A10) or the fixed dose combination of telmisartan 80mg + amlodipine 10mg (T80/A10) is superior in reducing blood pressure at eight weeks compared with amlodipine 10mg monotherapy (A10) in patients who fail to respond to six weeks treatment with A10.
