NCT ID: NCT01098487 Completed - Clinical trials for Purpura, Thrombocytopaenic, Idiopathic

A Longitudinal 2-year Bone Marrow Study of Eltrombopag in Previously Treated Adults, With Chronic Immune (Idiopathic) Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP)

Start date: May 2010
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

A open-label, multi-center 2-year safety study to ascertain the baseline levels of bone marrow fibers in previously treated adults with chronic immune (idiopathic) thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) and to evaluate the long-term effect of eltrombopag on bone marrow fibers. The study will also describe the long-term safety and tolerability of oral eltrombopag treatment in subjects with chronic ITP.

NCT ID: NCT01095510 Completed - Clinical trials for Hereditary Angioedema (HAE)

CINRYZE for the Treatment of Hereditary Angioedema Attacks in Children Under the Age of 12

Start date: June 2, 2010
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The objectives of this study were to evaluate: (1) the dose response and (2) the pharmacokinetics (PK) and pharmacodynamics (PD) of intravenous (IV) administration of CINRYZE for the treatment of acute angioedema attacks in children above and below 25 kg and less than 12 years of age with hereditary angioedema (HAE); and (3) to determine the safety and tolerability following IV administration of CINRYZE in this study population.

NCT ID: NCT01095081 Completed - Clinical trials for Magnetic Resonance Imaging

GARDIAN, Gadovist in Routine Diagnostic Magnetic Resonance Imaging Administration in Non-selected Patients

GARDIAN
Start date: July 2010
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

Prospective, non-interventional, multi-center study. The observation period for each subject covers the treatment period with Gadovist®. For each patient, the treating physician or nurse documents demographics, medical data, safety parameters and treatment signs and symptoms at the visit. Patients with severe renal impairment will be followed-up after 3 month by phone call from the investigator if in line with routine practice. Data audit/monitoring by source data verification will be done in a subset of sites and patients

NCT ID: NCT01095003 Completed - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Trial of Vinflunine Plus Capecitabine in Advanced Breast Cancer

Start date: May 2009
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The increasing use of anthracyclines and taxanes in the adjuvant, neoadjuvant and first-line metastatic settings, led to a raise of patients presenting with metastatic breast cancer after treatment with these agents. Options for the treatment of patients who have progressed after an anthracycline and a taxane are limited. The high level of in-vitro synergy of vinflunine combined with 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) together with the good tolerance and the encouraging response rate observed while combining IV vinflunine to oral capecitabine make it a promising combination to investigate further in a phase III trial. This phase III trial will evaluate the effectiveness and the safety profile of such combination for the treatment of patient with advanced breast cancer previously treated with or resistant to anthracycline and taxane resistant.

NCT ID: NCT01093534 Completed - Overactive Bladder Clinical Trials

Study of 2 Doses of Solifenacin Succinate in Female Subjects With Overactive Bladder.

SHRINK
Start date: January 2010
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The purpose is to see if solifenacin has any effect on bladder wall thickness and urine inflammatory marker measurements after 12 weeks of treatment.

NCT ID: NCT01093482 Completed - Clinical trials for Acute Respiratory Failure

Third International Study on Mechanical Ventilation

ISMV
Start date: April 2010
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

The objective of this study is to obtain a better understanding of the spectrum of use of mechanical ventilation in intensive care units: 1. Main analysis: To know the all-cause mortality rate in mechanically ventilated patients 2. Secondary analyses: - To know the current status of mechanical ventilation in the intensive care unit and determine the number and percentage of patients who are admitted to an intensive care unit and require mechanical ventilation. - To compare the results with prior data collected in previous observational studies (1998 and 2004) - Non-invasive positive pressure ventilation - Weaning - Use of adjuvant therapies as steroids or selective digestive decontamination - Sedation including prevalence of delirium in mechanically ventilated patients - Prediction of the duration of mechanical ventilation - Other

NCT ID: NCT01093326 Completed - Multiple Sclerosis Clinical Trials

Clinical Study to Investigate the Long-term Safety, Tolerability, and Efficacy of Ponesimod in Patients With Relapsing-remitting Multiple Sclerosis

Start date: May 12, 2010
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This study is an extension to the study AC-058B201 and will investigate the long-term safety, tolerability and efficacy of ponesimod in patients with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis.

NCT ID: NCT01090492 Completed - Clinical trials for Peripheral Vascular Disease

PF-00489791 For The Treatment Of Raynaud's

Start date: August 4, 2010
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The investigators propose that once daily administration of PF-00489791, a phosphodiesterase inhibitor, will reduce vasospasm and improve symptoms and signs associated with Primary and Secondary Raynaud's Phenomenon.

NCT ID: NCT01090362 Completed - Atrial Fibrillation Clinical Trials

Global Anticoagulant Registry in the Field

GARFIELD-AF
Start date: December 21, 2009
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The Global Anticoagulant Registry in the FIELD-Atrial Fibrillation (GARFIELD-AF Registry) is a non-interventional, observational study that characterized a global population of non-valvular atrial fibrillation patients. The registry was used to document global baseline characteristics, current treatment strategies and outcome measures. Characterisation of a number of AF sub-populations was also completed. GARFIELD-AF is an independent academic research initiative sponsored by the Thrombosis Research Institute (London, UK) and supported by an unrestricted research grant from Bayer AG (Berlin, Germany).
