NCT ID: NCT01024842 Terminated - HIV-1 Clinical Trials

Safety and Immunogenicity of MVA.HIVconsv in HIV-1 Seropositive Adults on HAART

Start date: December 2009
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

In this study, the novel vaccine candidate, MVA.HIVconsv, will be tested for safety, tolerability and immunogenicity in HIV-1-seropositive subjects receiving effective antiretroviral therapy. MVA.HIVconsv will be tested as a single vaccine modality, as a prelude to testing in a heterologous viral vector boost regimen which will include a replication-defective simian adenovirus expressing the same immunogen.

NCT ID: NCT01023269 Terminated - Clinical trials for Urinary Incontinence

Efficacy Study of Pudendal Neuromodulation for the Treatment of Neurogenic Overactive Bladder

ACCEPTANCE
Start date: December 2009
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The study is designed to demonstrate that treatment with low level stimulation of the bladder muscles reduces symptoms of urinary incontinence in comparison with no stimulation.

NCT ID: NCT01021423 Terminated - Clinical trials for Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma

A Study to Evaluate the Efficacy of Lenalidomide as Maintenance Therapy After Completion of First-line Combination Chemotherapy in Patients With Mantle Cell Lymphoma (MCL).

RENEW
Start date: April 1, 2010
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

A study to evaluate the efficacy of lenalidomide as maintenance therapy after completion of first-line combination chemotherapy in patients with mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) who are not candidates for transplantation and have achieved partial response (PR) or complete response (CR). This study was prematurely terminated by the sponsor in light of new unpublished data that rendered the current design of the study no longer clinically relevant. A study design with the control arm of no active treatment was no longer appropriate. The termination of the trial was not based on any safety concerns in the study.

NCT ID: NCT01019473 Terminated - Clinical trials for Huntington's Disease

Efficacy, Safety and Tolerability of AFQ056 in Patients With Huntington's Disease in Reducing Chorea

Start date: November 2009
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This study will assess the efficacy, safety and tolerability of AFQ056 when added to optimize standard therapy in patients that have Huntington's disease in reducing chorea.

NCT ID: NCT01018953 Terminated - Carcinoid Syndrome Clinical Trials

Study to Assess the Efficacy and Safety of Different Doses of BIM 23A760 in Patients With Carcinoid Syndrome

CAMPANULA
Start date: February 2010
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of the protocol is to assess the efficacy and safety of BIM 23A760 on patient's overall satisfaction in terms of symptom relief (diarrhoea and/or flushes) in patients with carcinoid syndrome after 24 weeks of treatment.

NCT ID: NCT01014858 Terminated - Parkinson's Disease Clinical Trials

Multi-centre UK Study of the Acetylcholinesterase Inhibitor Donepezil in Early Dementia Associated With Parkinson's Disease

MUSTARDD-PD
Start date: January 2013
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

To demonstrate the superiority of donepezil over placebo in improving cognitive function, neuropsychiatric burden and functional ability in people with Parkinson's disease and mild dementia after 24 months of treatment. To demonstrate the superiority of donepezil over placebo in improving patient and carer quality of life and to establish the cost-effectiveness of donepezil. To determine the instrument most suitable for evaluating change in cognition in people with Parkinson's disease and mild dementia.

NCT ID: NCT01013818 Terminated - Clinical trials for Lymphoid Malignancies

A Study of HGS1029 in Subjects With Relapsed or Refractory Lymphoid Malignancies

Start date: October 2009
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine if HGS1029 is safe and well tolerated in patients with relapsed or refractory lymphoid malignancies.

NCT ID: NCT01009294 Terminated - Clinical trials for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy

Study of Ataluren (PTC124) in Nonambulatory Participants With Nonsense-Mutation-Mediated Duchenne/Becker Muscular Dystrophy (nmDMD/BMD)

Start date: January 13, 2010
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Duchenne/Becker muscular dystrophy (DMD/BMD) is a genetic disorder that develops in boys. It is caused by a mutation in the gene for dystrophin, a protein that is important for maintaining normal muscle structure and function. Loss of dystrophin causes muscle fragility that leads to weakness and loss of walking ability during childhood and teenage years. A specific type of mutation, called a nonsense (premature stop codon) mutation is the cause of DMD/BMD in approximately 10-15% of boys with the disease. Ataluren (PTC124) is an orally delivered, investigational drug that has the potential to overcome the effects of the nonsense mutation. This study is a Phase 2a trial that enrolled boys with nonsense mutation DMD/BMD who have lost independent mobility due to the disease. This study evaluated the safety and tolerability of ataluren (PTC124) and also evaluated efficacy outcomes in this participant population.
