NCT ID: NCT01869738 Terminated - Clinical trials for ST Elevation Myocardial Infarction

MGuard™ Prime Stent System Clinical Trial in Patients With Acute ST Elevation Myocardial Infarction

MASTER-II
Start date: June 2013
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

To evaluate the safety and efficacy of the MGuard™ Prime stent in the treatment of blocked arteries in coronary arteries in patients undergoing a stenting procedure due to having a heart attack. The MGuard Prime stent wil be compared to other FDA approved bare-metal (BMS) or drug-eluting (DES) coronary stents. The hypotheses are that (1) the MGuard Prime stent will achieve a higher rate of complete ST-segment resolution as seen on the post-procedure ECG as compared to the comparator stent, and will have a similar effect on the rate of all-cause death or recurrent target vessel myocardial infarction at 365 days post-procedure.

NCT ID: NCT01866930 Terminated - Clinical trials for Chronic Hepatitis C Infection

Efficacy and Safety Study of Pegylated Interferon Lambda-1a With Ribavirin and Daclatasvir, to Treat naïve Subjects With Chronic HCV Genotypes 1, 2, 3, and 4 Who Are Co-infected With HIV

DIMENSION
Start date: July 11, 2013
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

To evaluate Sustained Virologic Response at post treatment Week 12 (SVR12)following treatment with Lambda/RBV/DCV in chronic HCV GT-1, -2, -3 or -4 subjects co-infected with HIV-1

NCT ID: NCT01866904 Terminated - Clinical trials for Stable Coronary Artery Disease (CAD), Myocardial Infarction

Long-Term rIsk, Clinical manaGement and Healthcare Resource Utilization of Stable CAD in Post MI Patients

TIGRIS
Start date: June 19, 2013
Phase:
Study type: Observational

THis study is intended to provide contemporary data on the burden of disease in patients 1 to 3 years post-MI, including a description of patient characteristics, current treatment patterns, rate of major CV events, and healthcare resource utilization in a 'real world' patient population at high atherothrombotic risk.

NCT ID: NCT01865695 Terminated - Clinical trials for Patients With Pancreatic Exocrine Insufficiency

Creon Use in Coeliac Patients With Low Faecal Pancreatic Elastase

Start date: May 2013
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

Faecal elastase is an enzyme test used to identify the presence of pancreatic exocrine insufficiency. This condition manifests with symptoms of diarrhea, weight loss, causing potential impairment on an individual's quality of life. Creon, a pancreatic enzyme supplement, marketed by Abbott Laboratories, Inc. is currently the standard treatment for this condition. However, there has been limited work evaluating the merits of this medication in this condition. This study aims to evaluate the benefits that Creon may have in coeliac patients with low faecal pancreatic elastase by randomising patients with low faecal pancreatic elastase (<200 ug/g) to either treatment with Creon or placebo. Outcome measures that we aim to assess to determine the benefits of Creon include evaluation of stool frequency, abdominal pain, body mass index (BMI) and quality of life.

NCT ID: NCT01865084 Terminated - Clinical trials for Muscular Dystrophy, Duchenne

A Study of Tadalafil for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy

Start date: September 2013
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The main purpose of this study is to determine if tadalafil can slow the decline in walking ability of boys who have Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD). The study will also assess the safety of tadalafil and any side effects that might be associated with it in boys who have DMD. Participants will receive study treatment (tadalafil or placebo) for the first 48 weeks of the study, and can then continue into an open label extension (OLE) that consists of two periods during which all participants will receive tadalafil. In OLE period 1, all participants will receive tadalafil for 48 weeks. Participants completing OLE period 1 will continue into OLE period 2 and will receive tadalafil for at least another 48 weeks.

NCT ID: NCT01864421 Terminated - Clinical trials for Deferred Umbilical Cord Clamping

Physiological Effects of Deferred Cord Clamping

DoppCord
Start date: May 2013
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This is an observational study to see if at birth, flow of blood from a placenta to the baby can be estimated non-invasively using Doppler ultrasound and/or cutaneous perfusion measured using a novel PPG sensor.

NCT ID: NCT01859351 Terminated - Clinical trials for Advanced Solid Tumours

Phase I Study of WX-037 Alone and in Combination With WX-554 in Solid Tumours

Start date: July 2013
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to test the safety of escalating doses of the novel PI3K inhibitor WX-037 and to explore its effectiveness in combination with WX-554 which targets mitogen activated protein kinase (MEK1 and MEK2). Preclinical evidence indicates that these two novel compounds could provide targeted inhibition of both pathways to block tumour growth.

NCT ID: NCT01856439 Terminated - Parkinson's Disease Clinical Trials

Long Term Safety and Efficacy Study of ProSavin in Parkinson's Disease

Start date: May 2011
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The study is designed to assess the long term tolerability of ProSavin and whether it is safe and efficacious in patients administered ProSavin from the PS1/001/07 study .
