COVID19 pandemic and SARS-CoV-2 rapid progression worldwide are already historical landmarks of the 21st century owing to the magnitude of the event and the collective response that populations have adopted to face such threat. This menace has imposed an unprecedented reactivity to promptly deliver answers in various fields and specifically in termes of diagnostic capabilities. The very first tests to be used were based on PCR reactions and on deep nasopharyngeal sampling. But this has shown to be insufficient to prevent contaminations and limit the progression of the disease. This approach requires important infrastructure thus limiting the extent to which it can be delivered. Moreover, nasopharyngeal swab is highly intrusive and therefore is not suitable for repeated testing of asymptomatic patients in surveillance programs. Actual need is based on new tests offering new capabilities both in terms of wide range availability, ease of use and reduced time-to-result duration. Such tests, affordable and that can be performed outside the lab would ultimately relief pressure on healthcare workers and laboratory facilities as well as help test massively wide range of populations thus limiting viral dissemination Such innovating test device has been developped by the start-up "Grapheal" and the present study will ultimately demonstrate the feasibility of COVID-19 diagnostic using this test.

Assessment of Contrast Enhancement Boost for the Direct Identification of Pulmonary Emboli in Thoracic CT Angiography

Pulmonary embolism is a common cardiovascular disease and thoracic CT angiography is currently considered the gold standard for its non-invasive diagnosis. However, the diagnostic performance of CT angiography can be hampered by an insufficient enhancement of pulmonary arteries. Contrast Enhancement Boost (CE Boost) is a post-processing technique using an iodine density map to artificially improve pulmonary artery enhancement. This retrospective study compares standard CT-angiography images with CE Boost images to assess the potential improvement of diagnostic performance for the detection of pulmonary embolism.

Prognostic Impact of Sleep Disorders in Patients : Pro-TSIC Study

Heart failure (HF) is a common and progressive condition associated with significant morbidity and mortality. Only 25-35% of patients survive 5 years after diagnosis.Sleep disorders are frequently found in this population with up to 94% of patients complaining of sleep disorders. Of these, insomnia and sleep disorders are the most common. The frequency of restless legs syndrome (RLS) varies between 4 and 40% depending on the studies. Patients with HF frequently experience poor sleep quality which is associated with deterioration in quality of life, alertness, and mood. Few studies have examined the prognostic impact of sleep disturbances in this population. A greater morbidity and mortality is observed in the event of poor quality sleep or in the presence of sleep breathing disorders . The investigators therefore propose to evaluate the sleep disorders of patients with HF by self-administered questionnaires, hypothesizing that complaints of poor sleep are linked to a poorer cardiovascular prognosis.

Non-invasive Airway Management of Comatose Poisoned Emergency Patients

A decreased level of consciousness is a common reason for presentation to the emergency department (ED) and is often the result of intoxication (up to 1% of all ED visits and 3% of ICU admission). In France, approximately 165 000 poisoned patients are managed each year. Originally developed in head injured patients, the Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) is a validated reproducible score evaluating the level of consciousness: a GCS ≤ 8 is strongly associated with reduced gag reflex and increased incidence of aspiration pneumonia. Although recommended for patients with traumatic brain injury and coma, it remains unknown whether the benefit of an invasive management of airways with sedation, intubation and mechanical ventilation should be applied to other causes of coma in particular for acute poisoned patients. The investigator hypothesize that a conservative management with close monitoring without immediate endotracheal intubation of these patients is effective and associated with less in-hospital complications (truncated at 28 days) compared to routine practice management (in which the decision of immediate intubation is left to the discretion of the emergency physician).

Auto-immune encephalitides involve auto-antibodies targeting the central nervous system, and particularly the synapse and its structure, such as protein CASPR2. CASPR2 antibody-associated auto-immune encephalitides lead to an inflammation of the limbic system and generate focal temporal seizures and cognitive impairment. Most patients are initially hospitalized because of the temporal seizures (Joubert et al., JAMA Neurology 2016). However, many already show at that time cognitive impairment, which has failed to elicit the appropriate investigations, therefore delaying the diagnosis. The study will hence investigate precisely the initial, sometimes neglected, clinical symptoms and those leading to the diagnosis, in the cohort of patients suffering from a CASPR2 antibody-associated encephalitis, from the French reference center on paraneoplastic neurological diseases and autoimmune encephalitis. This way, the study aims to delineate the symptoms that should trigger suspicions of a CASPR2 antibody-associated encephalitis

Efficacy Study of Cosmetic Product Against Telogen Effluvium on Women

Telogen effluvium (TE) is one of the most common causes of non-scarring diffuse hair loss, defined as global diminution of hair with no formation of areas completely bald. Premature termination of anagen into catagen and telogen hair follicle is the main mechanism observed in TE. It results in increased, synchronized telogen shedding leading to a decrease in global hair density. Acute telogen effluvium (ATE) has an abrupt onset and generalized scalp hair loss occurring 2-3 months after a triggering event, which could be unidentifiable in up to 33% cases. The degree of effluvium depends on the severity, duration of exposure and the type of agent, that can be: emotional stress, hormonal changes in the postpartum period, high fever, surgery, surgical/accidental trauma, severe haemorrhage, chronic systemic illness, or immense psychological stress, changes in medication or crash-diets. A summer effect possibly ultraviolet (UV) light induced, manifesting itself in autumn can cause ATE. The incidence of TE is not known, although it is likely that most women will experience at least 1 episode of TE during a lifetime. ATE can be diagnosed based on relevant medical and personal history and examination subjective complaints, clinical and physical exams or relevant investigations (hair pull test, phototrichogram, blood test…). ATE generates a lot of anxiety in the patient: significant impact on quality of life, self-esteem impairment, and stress increase. Thus, stress may act as a primary inducer; an aggravating factor or be a response to hair loss. ATE usually remits within few months (3-4 to 6 months) in 95% of cases if the trigger is removed or treated. Complete recovery may take until 1 year. A resolving TE is characterized by the absence of hair shedding, a negative hair pull test and synchronized hair growth. In this study, our aim is to assess the effects of the RV3466F lotion on hair growth, compared to a control group, with clinical and biometrological non- invasive methods on an adult female population with telogen effluvium.
