There are about 21071 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Spain. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Dental implants may suffer from bone loss around them, particularly at the upper portion where the prosthesis starts. The connection between both parts of the tooth restoration is key for avoiding micromovement during chewing, bacterial contamination and initiation of bone loss. Thus, investigating factors related to this bone loss in different types of implant-prosthetic connections is key for promoting better use of available therapeutics devices. In this study, we will study marginal bone levels over time as well as bacterial contamination and inflammatory markers in the peri-implant sulcus around implants with connical connection and compare them with those obtained when using implants with internal hexagonal connection. The hypothesis is that bone loss will be higher in implants with hexagonal connection associated with a pathological microbiome in the sulcus that induces a higher inflammatory response.
A study evaluating the efficacy, safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics (PK), and pharmacodynamics (PD) of GLPG3667 administered orally once daily for 48 weeks in approximately 180 adult participants with active Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE).
Reflex syncope is the most common form of syncope. It can lead to injuries and affect quality of life. Nonpharmacological and medical therapies have limited effectiveness. In certain patients, cardiac pacing seem to be beneficial. More recently cardioneuroablation (CNA) has emerged as a novel therapy for reflex syncope. The investigators aim to determine whether CNA is more effective than cardiac pacing at reducing the rate of cardioinhibitory-type reflex syncope.
The primary purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of perioperative dostarlimab compared with standard of care (SOC) in participants with untreated T4N0 or Stage III (resectable), defective mismatch repair/ microsatellite instability high (dMMR/MSI-H) colon cancer.
The overall aim of the study is to develop and validate a Rheumatoid Arthritis-Interstitial Lung Disease (RA-ILD) clinical prediction model (screening tool) based on risk factors to guide screening for ILD in patients with RA using High Resolution Computed Tomography (HRCT).
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of narsoplimab in pediatric patients with thrombotic microangiopathies (TMA) following hematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT).
To evaluate whether NESA microcurrents can be used as an effective treatment for various sequelae present in stroke patients, specifically in the treatment of spasticity, balance, pain; and whether it affects quality of life, performance of activities of daily living and quality of sleep.
This study will evaluate the efficacy of two dosing regimens of adagrasib (600 mg BID versus 400 mg BID) in patients with NSCLC with KRAS G12C mutation.
General Objective: To compare the prognostic value of the FODE scale for COPD exacerbations, where the fat-free mass index (FFMI) will be measured instead of the body mass index (BMI) in the BODE scale. Specific objectives: to describe the nutritional status of COPD patients according by the GesEPOC and GOLD phenotypes; to compare the mortality prognostic value of FODE with BODE; to compare the exacerbations and mortality prognostic value of the BODCAT scale, which includes the CAT questionnaire instead of the six-minute walking test (6MWT), with BODE; to compare the mortality prognostic value of the FODE and FODEx scales, where the BMI and the 6MWT will be substituted by the FFMI and the severe exacerbations in the previous year, respectively, with BODE and BODEx. Methods: prospective, with no intervention besides the recommendations of COPD clinical guidelines, where patients will be allocated into three parallel and open groups according to their forced expiratory flow in the first second (FEV1) in the fashion FEV1 < 30%: FEV1 30-50% : FEV1 > 50%, and will be followed for at least two years. FFMI will be measured using bioelectrical impedance analysis. Exacerbations and mortality will be recorded during follow-up to evaluate the prognostic value of the FODE scale, which hypothetically will increase in 10% the prognostic value of the BODE scale.
The purpose of this study is to assess the efficacy and safety of a novel immunotherapy candidate, tobemstomig, in combination with nab-paclitaxel, for patients with previously untreated, locally advanced, unresectable or metastatic (Stage IV) programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1)-positive triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC).
