There are about 21071 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Spain. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
An open-label study available to all eligible participants from Study B1371019 and participants originating from Study B1371012 continuing on study intervention with azacitidine with or without glasdegib.
Sport is a privileged area to promote socialization and health values, such as companionship; a healthy lifestyle; cooperation to achieve common goals, and justice, rejecting unjustified advantages in competition. The concept of fair play is on which the development of those values pivots. From a holistic perspective, it is possible to define fair play, not only as a way to participate but also as a way of projecting people in life with values, assuming a set of behaviors that enhance a healthy and respectful sporting experience with opponents, the companions, the spectators, the referees and all the agents that take part in the sport practice.
INTRODUCTION: Physical exercise, when practiced regularly and in adequate doses, is a proven nonpharmacological measure that helps to prevent and reverse noncommunicable diseases, as well as reduce mortality rates from any cause. In general, older adults perform insufficient physical activity and do not meet the doses recommended by the World Health Organization for the improvement of health through physical activity. OBJECTIVE: Our main aim will be to evaluate the effect of a 6-week intervention on health-related outcomes (body composition, hemodynamic and functionality changes) in 24 individuals aged 65 and older with multimorbidity. METHODS AND ANALYSIS: The study was a 2 x 2 randomized controlled trial using a two-group design (exercise vs. control) and two repeated measures (pre- vs. postintervention). The intervention (on the MOTOmed Muvi) will consist of a very low volume (60 minutes per week) of low-to-moderate intensity exercise training to assess body composition evaluation, hemodynamic parameter evaluation and functional evaluation. Participants will be recruited at the Gerontological Complex La Milagrosa (A Coruña, Spain), consisting of a daycare center and a nursing home. For the statistical analysis, nonparametric ANOVA type statistics and mixed models for repeated measures will be used.
The purposes of the study are 1) to know the concentrations of Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), cannabidiol (CBD) and other cannabinoids in blood, urine, oral fluid and sweat after the experimental administration of a standardized cannabis preparation orally (decoction and oil) and vaporized 2) to evaluate the pharmacological acute effects and tolerability
Chronic neck pain has a high prevalence in developed countries, being one of the main causes of years lived with disability and deterioration of the quality of life. Telerehabilitation is presented as a resource capable of favoring, with its development and implementation, the transition to a universal and quality health service. The main objective of the study is to assess the change in disability produced by a telerehabilitation program (applied in the intervention group) in patients with chronic and nonspecific neck pain compared to the recommendation of home exercises (control group). The study that will be carried out will be a controlled and randomized clinical trial (ECCA), single-blind, longitudinal and prospective with two groups (intervention group and control group). The main study variables that are intended to be analyzed pre and post intervention are disability, quality of life, pain, adherence, and depression and anxiety. The study will take place between June 2020 and May 2021 in specialized physiotherapy clinics.
Background Numerous surgicals treatments have been described for the massive subcutaneous emphysema; however, some of these techniques cannot be carried out in a critical care unit and they are related with high morbidity and exposure in positive SARS COV-2 patients. More effective, less invasive and isolated procedures should be implemented. Technique Negative pressure therapy (NPT) that can allow effective solving of massive subcutaneous emphysema in a short period (5 days) with a minimally invasive approach at the bedside in Covid-19 or non infected critical patients. Conclusion NPT is an effective and low invasive strategy for the management of EES in critical patients with high risk of mortality.
Several studies have shown that football practice regulates bone remodeling, producing an increase of bone mineral density and reducing the risk of fractures. Thus, the aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of football practice on the regulation of bone turnover in Spanish adult football players. Thanks to the collaboration agreement "Aula Endavant" the Villarreal CF participates as a collaborator in this Project. This agreement allows us to use their facilities and to analyze several football players' data.
The hypothesis underlying this work is the identification of different sub phenotypes of patients with infective endocarditis through the study of the host's response to infection. Furthemore, metagenomic sequencing may be a helpful supplement to IE diagnostic, especially when conventional tests fail to yield a diagnosis.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the diagnostic performance of [18F]CTT1057 as a PET imaging agent for detection and localization of PSMA positive tumors using histopathology as Standard of Truth (SoT). Tissue specimens from both the primary tumor and pelvic lymph nodes dissected during surgery from patients with newly-diagnosed high-risk prostate cancer (PCa) will be used for the histopathology assessments. Approximately 195 participants will be enrolled to ensure that at least 156 participants are evaluable (i.e. have both an evaluable PET/CT scan and histopathology assessment and have not received any prohibited systemic antineoplastic therapy before the completion of PET/CT and surgery), which will be required for the calculation of the co-primary endpoints.
The current study aims at evaluating the diagnostic performance of [18F]CTT1057 as a PET imaging agent for detection and localization of PSMA positivity in patients diagnosed of biochemical recurrence of prostate cancer (PCa), using a composite truth standard. Approximately 190 participants will be enrolled to ensure at least 152 participants are evaluable (i.e. have both an evaluable [18F]CTT1057 PET/CT scan imaging, and at least one evaluable CTS assessment and have not received any prohibited systemic antineoplastic therapy before the completion of PET/CTs and CTS procedures), which will be required for the calculation of the co-primary endpoints.
