There are about 11304 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Denmark. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. It is not yet known whether receiving paclitaxel and carboplatin with epirubicin is more effective than paclitaxel and carboplatin alone for ovarian epithelial, fallopian tube, or peritoneal cancer. PURPOSE: Randomized phase III trial to compare the effectiveness of paclitaxel and carboplatin with or without epirubicin in treating patients who have stage IIB, stage III, or stage IV invasive ovarian epithelial, fallopian tube, or peritoneal cancer.
The purpose of this study is to see how safe a new protease inhibitor (PI) is and how well it fights HIV infection. A PI is a drug that stops HIV from using healthy cells to make more virus. This study will compare the new PI combination of ABT-378 plus ritonavir (RTV) with another PI, nelfinavir (NFV). Earlier studies suggest ABT-378/RTV will be just as good as and perhaps better than NFV at fighting HIV infection.
The purpose of this study is to compare the safety and effectiveness of 2 anti-HIV drug combinations in HIV-infected patients. Both combinations will include nevirapine (NVP), 2 nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTIs), and at least 1 protease inhibitor (PI). One combination will include a new protease inhibitor, ABT-378, combined in a capsule with ritonavir (RTV).
RATIONALE: Estrogen can stimulate the growth of breast cancer cells. Hormone therapy using letrozole may fight breast cancer by reducing the production of estrogen. Hormone therapy using tamoxifen may fight breast cancer by blocking the uptake of estrogen by the tumor cells. If is not yet known which treatment regimen is most effective for breast cancer. PURPOSE: Randomized double-blind phase III trial to compare the effectiveness of letrozole with that of tamoxifen in treating postmenopausal women who have breast cancer that has been surgically removed.
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Monoclonal antibodies such as rituximab can locate cancer cells and either kill them or deliver cancer-killing substances to them without harming normal cells. It is not yet known whether chemotherapy is more effective with or without rituximab for relapsed non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. PURPOSE: This randomized phase III trial is studying combination chemotherapy and rituximab to see how well they work compared to combination chemotherapy alone in treating patients with relapsed non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of acridine carboxamide in treating patients who have advanced non-small cell lung cancer that cannot be treated with surgery.
RATIONALE: Interleukin-2 may stimulate a person's white blood cells to kill acute myeloid leukemia cells. Histamine dihydrochloride may prolong remission and reduce the risk of relapse in patients with acute myeloid leukemia in remission. PURPOSE: Randomized phase III trial to determine the effectiveness of interleukin-2 plus histamine dihydrochloride in treating patients who have acute myeloid leukemia that is in remission following previous therapy.
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of ISIS 3521 in treating patients who have advanced, unresectable, or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer or unresectable or metastatic melanoma.
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. PURPOSE: Phase I trial to study the effectiveness of MEN-10755 in treating patients who have solid tumors.
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. PURPOSE: Phase I trial to study the effectiveness of E7070 in treating patients who have solid tumors.
