There are about 25560 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Germany. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The trial aim of the study is to evaluate the effectiveness of a novel psychological internet intervention (Covivio), which was designed to improve adherence in Persons with Diabetes Mellitus type 2 (PwDM), using cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques. Therefore, 300 PwDM will be recruited and randomized to three groups: (1) a treatment group that immediately receives two-month access to Covivio and may also use care-as-usual (CAU), (2) an active control group that also immediately receives a two-month access to Relaxio, an internet program with the focus of stress relaxation ,and may also additionally use CAU or (3) a control group, in which they may engage with any diabetes treatment (i.e. CAU/ wait list control group). The active control group (2) and the wait control group (3) receive access to Covivio after a delay of six months. The primary outcome measure is the Diabetes Self-Management Questionnaire-Revised (DSMQ-R), collected at baseline, two (post-treatment), and additionally three and six months follow-up.
Comparative analysis of the severity of Hand-Foot-Syndrome (HFS) of palms treated with brimonidine tartrate gel or with standard care Urea 10% containing lotion in cancer patients receiving antineoplastic therapy to show a preventive effect of cutaneous brimonidine treatment on severity of HFS symptoms.
The purpose of this study was to characterize the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics and antitumor activity of MIW815 (ADU-S100) in combination with PDR001.
The present study is a placebo-controlled randomised study on the effects of estrogen replacement upon AN-associated psychopathology, several neurocognitive domains and appetite-regulating circuits in female patients with AN. The investigators aim at assessing peripheral concentrations of neuroendocrinological components of the Hypothalamus-Pituitary-Gonadal (HPG) and Hypothalamus-Pituitary-Adrenal (HPA) axis, as well as appetite-regulating hormones in AN and to examine associations with AN-associated psychopathology and neurocognitive performances before (baseline), during and after inpatient psychotherapy of female patients receiving concomitant treatment with estrogens (vs. placebo).
Brain Entrainment Technology (BET), also known as Binaural Beat Technology (BBT); is an auditory-neurophysiologic technique which uses auditory tones (often embedded in music, nature sounds or white noise) dichotically via stereo headphones to manipulate brainwave activity in turn affecting the listener's mental, physical and/or emotional state. Although this technology is widely marketed to the general public and can be found free in on the internet, only a hand full of scientific studies have shown its efficacy. This study is a follow-on study to the "Sound Mind Warrior (SMW) Study" (ClinicalTrials.gov [NCT02328690]) conducted 2012-2015 which assessed the efficacy of the technology (in the "theta" brainwave frequency) on the cardiovascular stress response in a group of service members with complaint of chronic stress. This study will now assess BET (in the "delta" brainwave frequency) on sleep quality in a population of military healthcare beneficiaries with complaint of poor sleep quality.
This is a multicentre, randomised, double-blind, parallel group study to compare the pharmacokinetics (PK), pharmacodynamics (PD), immunogenicity, safety, tolerability and efficacy of JHL1101 versus MabThera in subjects with moderate to severe RA who have previously failed at least 1 tumour necrosis factor alpha (TNF) inhibitor (i.e., intolerance or documented active disease despite at least 12 weeks treatment according to the TNF inhibitor-approved treatment and dosage), and are on concomitant treatment with MTX.
This study evaluates whether tailored, peripheral ultrafiltration complementary to low-dose diuretics is associated with a reduction in cardiovascular mortality in 90 days after randomization and heart failure events in 90 days after discharge than usual care including stepped intravenous diuretics in acutely decompensated chronic heart failure with fluid overload (not fully responsive to diuretic therapy).
The study intends to examine the association between schistosomiasis seropositivity and adverse pregnancy outcomes. It aims at the verification of the hypothesis that in pregnant women originating from endemic areas for schistosomiasis, positive serology is associated with reduced Infant birth weight.
Epidermolysis bullosa simplex (EBS) is a rare genetic skin disease characterized by fragility of the skin and mucous membranes resulting in painful blisters and erosions after minor trauma. The purpose of this study is to compare the efficacy of diacerein 1% ointment to vehicle ointment when applied once-daily for 8 weeks in subjects with EBS.
The objective of this study is to evaluate the long-term safety and efficacy of NEOD001 in subjects with AL amyloidosis who have completed Study NEOD001-201.
