NCT ID: NCT04205760 Recruiting - Cardiac Surgery Clinical Trials

Preoperative Nutritional Optimization and Physical Exercise for Patients Scheduled for Elective Implantation for a Left-Ventricular Assist Device

PROPER-LVAD
Start date: January 2, 2022
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This is a pilot, randomized, multicenter interventional trial of a combined preoperative oral nutritional support (ONS) and physical exercise therapy in patients planned for elective implantation of a left-ventricular assist device (LVAD). This pilot study pursues to demonstrate the feasibility and safety of a study protocol to optimize the patients' nutritional and physical state to reduce the number of postoperative complications and consequently to ameliorate the patients' outcome.

NCT ID: NCT04205552 Recruiting - NSCLC, Stage I Clinical Trials

Neoadjuvant Nivolumab Combination Treatment in Resectable Non-small Cell Lung Cancer Patients

NEOpredict
Start date: March 4, 2020
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The primary objective of this study is to determine the feasibility of four weeks of preoperative immunotherapy with Nivolumab, and Nivolumab plus Relatlimab in patients with early stage or locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer eligible for curative resection.

NCT ID: NCT04204655 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Neurological Rehabilitation

Influence of the Body Composition of Neurological (Early) Rehabilitants on Rehabilitation Success

Start date: November 25, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

An optimal nutritional supply is associated with better outcome and recovery. For investigating the influence of the nutritional status and body composition on the course of rehabilitation, bioelectrical impedance analyzes (BIA) should be carried out on neurological (early) rehabilitants during the rehabilitation process. Possible disturbances, suitable outcome valuesfor evaluation of the rehabilitation success (depending on the rehabilitation phase) as well as the required frequency of the BIA measurements in rehabilitation should be estimated with the help of this pilot study.

NCT ID: NCT04202809 Recruiting - NSCLC, Stage III Clinical Trials

Phase-II Trial of Induction Chemotherapy and Chemoradiotherapy Plus/Minus Durvalumab and Consolidation Immunotherapy in Patients With Resectable Stage III NSCLC.

ESPADURVA
Start date: January 13, 2020
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

To compare a complex induction multimodality protocol (ESPATUE) + concurrent immunotherapy with PD-L1 antibody Durvalumab given every three weeks to the same induction multimodality protocol without Durvalumab immunotherapy induction followed by definitive local treatment (surgery for those considered resectable or chemoradiation boost for those not considered to be R0-resectable) followed by consolidation Durvalumab treatment in both arms.

NCT ID: NCT04201210 Recruiting - Sickle Cell Disease Clinical Trials

A Trial to Assess Haploidentical T-depleted Stem Cell Transplantation in Patients With SCD

Start date: June 30, 2021
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

HSCT is currently the only curative option for SCD but less than 20% of SCD patients have a MD donor available. So far, all curative approaches beyond a MSD HSCT at young age are non-satisfactory. With the lack of a suitable donor for the vast majority of patients, the major question of this trial is, if a haploidentical 뱧/CD19+ T-cell depleted HSCT can be a valid alternative to a MSD HSCT. The main challenge in non-malignant diseases is to offer a safe and GvHD-free HSCT without rejection.

NCT ID: NCT04200755 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Localized Scleroderma

Clinical Trial to Evaluate Efficacy and Safety of Dupilumab in Localized Scleroderma

DupiMorph
Start date: May 19, 2020
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The DupiMorph study evaluates the efficacy of Dupilumab in localized scleroderma patients. Dupilumab is approved in the US and EU for the treatment of moderate/severe atopic dermatitis and since 2018 in the US for severe asthma therapy.

NCT ID: NCT04199091 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Low Back Pain, Mechanical

Craniosacral Therapy as a Self-help Strategy for Patients With Chronic Non-specific Back Pain

CRANIO4ME
Start date: August 1, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a non-manipulative, very gentle manual treatment method. Although the mechanisms of action have not yet been investigated sufficiently, initial clinical trials support CST efficacy/effectiveness in chronic pain disorders such as back pain, neck pain, and fibromyalgia. In clinical practice, therapists also report pain alleviating effects of CST self-help techniques, offered to patients within a group concept. Yet, the effectiveness of teaching CST self-help techniques to medical laypersons has not yet been scientifically investigated. Therefore, this study aims at collecting quantifiable data on the effectiveness and safety of a CST self-help group concept, developed for patients with chronic non-specific low back pain. The intervention group will receive 24 lessons of education and practice in CST self-help techniques over 12 weeks, while the control group will receive the same amount of self-help (education and practice) in progressive muscle relaxation. Six and 12 months after randomization, longer-term effects will be investigated.

NCT ID: NCT04198870 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Mitral Valve Regurgitation

MitraClip REPAIR MR Study

Start date: July 21, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The objective of this randomized controlled trial (RCT) is to compare the clinical outcome of MitraClip™ device versus surgical repair in patients with severe primary MR who are at moderate surgical risk and whose mitral valve has been determined to be suitable for correction by MV repair surgery by the cardiac surgeon on the local site heart team.

NCT ID: NCT04196712 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Coronary Artery Disease

Essen Coronary Artery Disease Registry

ECAD registry
Start date: September 1, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

The ECAD registry is a registry of patients undergoing coronary angiography at the West German Heart and Vascular Center. The registry anticipates to determine predictors of patient outcome after coronary angiography.

NCT ID: NCT04194606 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Coronary Artery Disease

CORonaRy Angiography and intErventions Via Distal vs Proximal aCcess

CORRECT Radial
Start date: January 14, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The objective of the study is to determine that a coronary angiography (CAG) or percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) via a distal puncture of the radial artery (distal transradial access, dTRA) leads to a lower rate of radial artery occlusion (RAO) while also showing that it has a similar success rate when compared to the traditional proximal (proximal transradial access, pTRA) puncture site.
