Start date: January 7, 2021
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Exploratory study evaluating the potential of immune signature profiling for predicting response in patients with resectable Stage II, IIIA and select IIIB (T3N2 only) non-squamous Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) to neoadjuvant ATEZOLIZUMAB plus Carboplatin/nab Paclitaxel Atezolizumab is given as intravenous infusion at a fixed dose of 1200 mg, day 1 of each 21-day cycle (every 3 weeks) for 3 cycles during the neoadjuvant treatment phase, Carboplatin at an initial dose of AUC (area under curve) 5 mg/mL/min, intravenously day 1 of each 21-day cycle for 3 cycles during the neoadjuvant treatment Phase, and Nab-Paclitaxel (Abraxane) at 100 mg/m2, intravenously day 1, 8 and 15 of each 21-day cycle for 3 cycles during the neoadjuvant treatment phase. Surgery after the 3rd cycle Atezolizumab / Carboplatin / Nab-Paclitaxel is standard procedure.

NCT ID: NCT04863703 Recruiting - Hepatitis B Clinical Trials

Improvement of Portal Hypertension During Viral Suppression in Patients With Hepatitis Delta (IMPHROVE-D)

IMPHROVE-D
Start date: May 7, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Portal hypertension (PH) is one of the key drivers of clinical deteoration in patients with liver cirrhosis. It has been demonstrated that antiviral therapy in patients with chronic hepatitis C infection leads to a decrease of PH and is associated with an improved outcome. Recently, Bulevirtide was approved for the treatment of patients coinfected with hepatitis B (HBV) and chronic hepatitis delta (HDV) infection, which helps to achieve viral supression in these patients. This study investigates the potential effects of viral supression on PH in patients with chronic HBV/HDV infection and liver cirrhosis.

NCT ID: NCT04863664 Recruiting - Tachyarrhythmia Clinical Trials

Lead EvaluAtion for Defibrillation and Reliability (LEADR) / Lead Evaluation for Defibrillation and Reliability in Left Bundle Branch Area Pacing (LEADR LBBAP)

Start date: June 21, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The LEADR study is designed to assess the safety and efficacy of the Next Generation ICD lead. The LEADR LBBAP study is being conducted under the existing US FDA Investigational Device Exemption (IDE) for the Next Generation ICD Lead and is designed to confirm the safety and defibrillation efficacy of the Next Generation ICD Lead when placed in the LBBAP location in ICD and LOT-CRT patient population.

NCT ID: NCT04862663 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Locally Advanced (Inoperable) or Metastatic Breast Cancer

Capivasertib + CDK4/6i + Fulvestrant for Advanced/Metastatic HR+/HER2- Breast Cancer (CAPItello-292)

CAPItello-292
Start date: May 10, 2021
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

A Phase Ib/III Open-label, Randomised Study of Capivasertib plus CDK4/6 Inhibitors and Fulvestrant versus CDK4/6 Inhibitors and Fulvestrant in Hormone Receptor-Positive and Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2-Negative Locally Advanced, Unresectable or Metastatic Breast Cancer (CAPItello-292)

NCT ID: NCT04862507 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Acute Ischemic Stroke

Improving Low ASPECTS Stroke Thrombectomy

I-LAST
Start date: May 1, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

Improving Low ASPECTS Stroke Thromectomy (I-LAST) is an academic, independent, prospective, multicenter, observational registry study. Consecutive patients treated with endovascular stroke treatment will be enrolled in German stroke centers. Patients receive regular care and data will be collected as part of clinical routine. Baseline clinical and procedural information as well clinical follow-up information during in-hospital stay, and up to 90 days of stroke onset are collected. Data collected include demographics, National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) on admission, pre-treatment ASPECTS, information on timing and success of interventional treatment, procedural complications, intracranial hemorrhage, and functional outcome. Advanced imaging biomarkers will be tested and validated aiming to improve treatment selection and outcome prediction of patients presenting with extensive baseline infarction.

NCT ID: NCT04861259 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Atypical Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome

COMMUTE-a
Start date: October 22, 2021
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This study aims to evaluate the efficacy and safety of crovalimab in adult and adolescent participants with aHUS.

NCT ID: NCT04859400 Recruiting - Malnutrition Clinical Trials

Influence of a Home-based Nutrition and Exercise Program on Quality of Life of Palliative Cancer Outpatients

Start date: June 7, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The main purpose of the study is to investigate whether a tailor-made nutritional and exercise program including home-based sessions and regular monitoring using an application on the smartphone is effective in improving Quality of Life in patients with advanced lung or gastrointestinal tract cancer.

NCT ID: NCT04858672 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Implantable Defibrillator User

Shock Testing to Unmask RV Lead and GEnerator Malfunction in ICD Patients: the SURGE-ICD Registry

Surge-ICD
Start date: March 23, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

Shock testing during ICD generator replacement has been omitted by many centers. A previous study revealed lead failures in internally cardioverted patients with previously normal HV-lead values. The real prevalence of unrecognized "silent" lead failure in ICD patients remains unknown. As a consequence, patients may be equipped with an ICD which is unable to provide life-saving shocks. The proposed registry aims to include patients presenting for ICD generator replacement or electrical cardioversion of atrial arrhythmia. The protocol mandates either a commanded synchronized high energy shock prior to generator replacement or internal cardioversion of atrial arrhythmia to provoke the unmasking of silent lead failure.
