NCT ID: NCT00317265 Terminated - Clinical trials for Coronary Artery Disease

Coronary Bypass Surgery Trial: Complete Arterial Revascularization and Conventional Coronary Artery Surgery

Start date: January 1999
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This is a randomized, prospective European Multicenter Study comparing complete arterial revascularization of the coronary arteries using arterial graft material exclusively and “conventional” coronary artery bypass surgery using the left internal thoracic artery as graft to the left anterior descending artery (LAD) and vein grafts to other vessels to be bypassed.

NCT ID: NCT00314938 Terminated - Clinical trials for Growth Hormone Deficiency

A Single Dose Study to Evaluate the PK-PD Response and Safety of PHA-794428 in Children With Growth Hormone Deficiency

Start date: April 2006
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This will be the first clinical study of the development of PHA-794428 in a pediatric population. Since differences in PK and/or PD response may occur between adult and pediatric subjects, it is deemed appropriate to first conduct an exploratory single dose study in pediatric patients to assess safety and tolerability in this patient population. In addition this will add pediatric data to facilitate the prediction of the optimal therapeutic dose to be tested in repeated dose phase 2b trials in children, using PK/PD modeling

NCT ID: NCT00314002 Terminated - Pulmonary Embolism Clinical Trials

Catheter Thrombectomy in Patients With Massive Pulmonary Embolism

Start date: October 2005
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Official Title: Compassionate Use of Catheter Thrombectomy (Aspirex 11F) in Patients With Massive Pulmonary Embolism Study Population: Patients >/= 18 years of age with massive pulmonary embolism suitable for mechanical thrombectomy with Aspirex 11F. Treatment: Aspirex 11F assisted thrombectomy _________ The study was terminated early. After having treated seven (7) patients, it was decided in April 2007 that the handling characteristics of the test device should be upgraded before continuing the trial as planned. Therefore, the study was long-term interrupted and finally terminated early. This decision was made by the sponsor in full accordance with the principal investigator. Further studies shall be conducted to show effectiveness and safety of the Aspirex PE catheter thrombectomy device. _________ Primary Endpoints: 1. Thrombectomy with the Aspirex catheter device is associated with an immediate decrease in mean pulmonary artery pressure (PAP) and pulmonary vascular resistance (PVP). 2. The Aspirex thrombectomy catheter does not cause perforation/dissection to treated and untreated cardiovascular structures. Secondary Endpoints: 1. Thrombectomy with the Aspirex catheter device is associated with improved flow in the treated main and lobar pulmonary arteries as assessed by the angiographic Miller index. 2. There will be no significant mechanical haemolysis as assessed by plasma free haemoglobin levels. 3. In-hospital mortality will not exceed 20%. Study Design: A prospective international multicenter non-randomized registry assessing the safety and efficacy of the Aspirex 11F mechanical thrombectomy device. Sample Size: Maximum of 50 patients Inclusion Criteria: - Patients with massive pulmonary embolism and cardiogenic shock with failed thrombolysis or at least contraindication for lysis. Exclusion Criteria: - Systemic embolism in the presence of an arterial septal defect or patent foramen ovale. - Free floating right heart thrombi, left heart thrombi. - Life expectancy, due to underlying disease, less than one month.

NCT ID: NCT00310388 Terminated - Epilepsy Clinical Trials

Open-Label Extension Study of the Phase 3 VRX-RET-E22-302 Double-Blind Trial. 115097

Start date: July 5, 2006
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This Phase 3 trial is an open-label extension study of the placebo-controlled, double-blind VRX-RET-E22-302 trial. Patients who have completed the VRX-RET-E22-302 trial and who meet inclusion and exclusion criteria will be treated with 600-1200 mg/day of retigabine as an adjunct therapy to their current antiepileptic drugs (AEDs) or vagal nerve stimulation. Treatment will be continued until the subject withdraws from the study or until the program is discontinued. Patients will be recruited from 55-60 sites in Europe, Israel, Australia, and South Africa. The primary objective of the study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of long-term therapy with retigabine administered as adjunctive therapy in adult epilepsy patients with partial-onset seizures, who completed the double-blind Study VRX-RET-E22-302. Secondary objectives are: to evaluate efficacy of long-term treatment with retigabine and patient quality of life and to evaluate whether retinal pigmentation, unexplained vision loss, pigmentation of non-retinal ocular tissue, and discoloration of nails, lips, skin or mucosa change over time after discontinuation of retigabine.

NCT ID: NCT00308464 Terminated - Clinical trials for Growth Hormone Deficiency

A Study To Evaluate The Dose Response And Safety Of PHA-794428 In Adults With Growth Hormone Deficiency

Start date: July 2006
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to explore the safety, toleration and dose response of PHA-794428 after multiple weekly injections in male and female growth hormone deficient patients.

NCT ID: NCT00306150 Terminated - Clinical trials for Blood Loss, Surgical
