Functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS) is the pimary surgical treatment of CRS, characterized with the preservation of nasal structure and function.But the control of disease by surgery has been unsatisfactory. Recent studies have shown that patients with recurrent CRSwNP (usually with severe eosinophilic inflammation), more radical surgery may be more effective. The purpose of this prospective and randomized study is to determine the effect of endoscopic sinus surgery for extensive mucosal removal in patients with eosinophilic chronic rhinosinusitus with nasal polyps.

Observational study on patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy aims to investigate the correlation between cardiac fibrosis, as indicated by cardiac magnetic resonance, and the prognosis, and further to explore biomarkers for cardiac fibrosis and adverse prognosis of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Therefore, endpoints including all-cause mortality, cardiovascular death, ventricular arrythmia, non-fatal stroke, non-fatal myocardial infarction, sudden death, successful cardiopulmonary resuscitation will be evaluated.

The incidence and mortality of esophageal cancer are at the forefront in China, among which the elderly patients account for a large proportion. Concurrent chemoradiotherapy is the standard treatment for inoperable locally advanced esophageal cancer. Most elderly patients with esophageal cancer cannot tolerate concurrent chemotherapy because of complications and other reasons. Immunotherapy has definite efficacy and low toxicity in advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma, and the results combined with radiotherapy have also been preliminarily reported. Therefore, it is necessary to further explore the efficacy and safety of radiotherapy combined with immunotherapy in elderly patients with esophageal cancer.

Relationship Between Perioperative Treatment Efficacy and The Tumor Microenvironment for Locally Advanced Resectable Gastric Cancer.

Perioperative drug treatment has gradually become the standard regimen for locally advanced gastric cancer, whereas only a subset of patients could benefit from it. Therefore, one major challenge for perioperative drug treatment is to construct promising biomarkers and to screen out potential beneficial patients. Recent evidence has revealed that tumor microenvironment (TME) is highly associated with the prognosis of gastric cancer. Meanwhile, tumor microenvironment score (TMEscore) established with transcriptomic data is a robust biomarker for predicting prognosis and guiding individualized immunotherapy strategies. However, its predictive value for perioperative drug treatment outcomes warrants further exploration and validation. The study is a multi-center, observational study to evaluate the relationship between the efficacy of perioperative treatment and tumor microenvironment in patients with locally advanced resectable gastric and gastro-oesophageal junction adenocarcinoma, aiming at further determining the predictive value of TMEscore and establishing a comprehensive treatment-efficacy evaluation system for gastric cancer.

Relationship Between Standard Treatment Efficacy and The Tumor Microenvironment in Advanced Gastric Cancer

Gastric cancer is among the most common malignant tumors nationwide with high morbidity and mortality. Attributing to its insidious onset and rapid progress, 70% of patients with gastric cancer were initially diagnosed at an advanced stage. In advanced gastric cancer, systemic treatment based on chemotherapy drugs, targeted drugs, and immune checkpoint inhibitors remains the main regimens. Among current standard treatment regimens, though HER2-positive and MSI-H/dMMR statuses indicate the treatment efficacy of trastuzumab and immune checkpoint inhibitors, there is still lack of robust biomarkers for predicting treatment efficacy. Tumor microenvironment as pivotal components of solid tumor, significantly influences therapeutic response and clinical outcome. The study is a multi-center, observational study to evaluate the relationship between standard treatment efficacy and the tumor microenvironment in advanced gastric cancer. In addition, the study comprehensively evaluated the landscape of the tumor microenvironment characteristics of gastric cancer, and aimed at establishing robust biomarkers for predicting prognosis and treatment efficacy to finetune treatment strategies.
