There are about 36818 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in China. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Cross-sectional evidences suggest a relationship between early childhood sleep and cognitive as well as socio-emotional functions. However, the casual relation has not been fully revealed. The current study aims to perform a randomized lab-based crossover nap restriction study on preschoolers, to determine the effects of sleep restriction on preschoolers empathy, prosocial behaviors as well as executive functions.
Objective: To explore the potential association between the multimodal ultrasound characteristics and pathological classification of BI-RADS category 4 breast lesions, so as to clarify the diagnostic characteristics of multimodal ultrasound in different pathological types BI-RADS category 4 breast lesions. Materials and methods: Patients who visited in The First Affiliated Hospital of Shandong First Medical University & Shandong Provincial Qianfoshan Hospital were collected. Their general clinical features, information on preoperative ultrasound diagnosis, and postoperative pathologic data were reviewed.
Postoperative soiling is a common complication following Hirschsprung disease [HSCR] surgery. The aim of this study was to develop a nomogram for predicting the probability of postoperative soiling in patients aged >1 year operated for HSCR. The investigators retrospectively analyzed HSCR patients with surgical therapy over one year of age from January 2000 and December 2019 at our department. Eligible patients were randomly categorized into the training and validation set at a ratio of 7:3. By integrating the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator [LASSO] and multivariable logistic regression analysis, crucial variables were determined for establishment of nomogram. And, the performance of nomogram was evaluated by C-index,area under the receiver operating characteristic curve [ROC], calibration curves, and decision curve analysis [DCA]. Meanwhile, a validation set was used to further assess the model.
Asthma remains a serious health problem with increasing prevalence and incidence. There is limited information about severe asthma among Chinese pediatric patients. In this context, we decided to explore the clinical characteristics and risk factors of severe asthma in children. This is a descriptive, observational, retrospective cohort study in children with asthma. The purpose of this retrospective study is: to determine the clinical characteristics of severe asthma of children; to identify the factors associated with severe childhood asthma.
We retrospectively analyzed lung cancer patients who had NAICT and surgery in the Department of Thoracic Surgery, Zhongshan Hospital. NAICT was defined as chemotherapy that included at one application of PD-1 inhibitor.
This multi-modal deep radiomics model, using PET/CT, clinical and histopathological data, was able to identify patients with bevacizumab-sensitive unresectable colorectal cancer liver metastases, providing a favorable approach for precise patient treatment.
Early-onset gastric cancer (EOGC) is a lethal malignancy with a poor prognosis. It differs from late-onset gastric cancer (LOGC) in clinical and molecular characteristics. The current strategies for EOGC detection have certain limitations in diagnostic performance due to the rising trend in EOGC. Hence, identifying novel EOGC bioindicators is crucial.
Gastrointestinal tumours (GITs) are the most common and fatal cancers worldwide; 96% of GITs show the microsatellite-stable (MSS)/proficient mismatch repair (pMMR) phenotype, and these tumours have a poor response to immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) therapy. Hyperthermia combined with ICI treatment (HIT) has been reported to show a synergistic sensitisation effect in numerous basic studies. This study aimed to validate the effectiveness, safety, and feasibility of water-filtered infrared A radiation (WIRA) whole-body hyperthermia combined with PD-1 inhibitor therapy and evaluate the real-world clinical application prospects of HIT. This open-label single-arm phase 2 clinical trial aimed to enrol advanced GIT patients with the MSS/pMMR phenotype in the East Asian population who had received third-line or higher treatment. The patients were treated with whole-body hyperthermia on days 1 and 8 of each HIT cycle along with administration of tislelizumab 200 mg on day 2 (24 h after the hyperthermia at day 1). The primary outcome was the disease control rate (DCR), while the secondary outcomes were progression-free survival (PFS), overall survival (OS), safety, and improvement in quality of life.
The goal of this clinical trial is to study the tolerability, safety, pharmacokinetics and immunogenicity of investigational drug in healthy subjects. The main questions it aims to answer are: - Safety and tolerability of investigational drug. - pharmacokinetics and immunogenicity of investigational drug. Participants will receive a single intravenous administration of investigational drug or placebo. Blood samples are collected at specified time points.
Chronic Intestinal Pseudo-Obstruction (CIPO) is a rare gastrointestinal disorder that primarily affects the movement of the intestines, leading to symptoms that resemble a true bowel obstruction but without a physical blockage. This condition is characterized by impaired motility of the gastrointestinal tract, which can result in severe symptoms and complications. In previous studies, the investigator found that sequential microbiota transplantation therapy can improve clinical symptoms of chronic pseudo-obstruction. Building on this foundation, the current study further investigates the effects of sequential interventions involving intestinal cleansing, small intestine bacterial treatment, fecal microbiota transplantation, and nutritional therapy on the short-term and long-term clinical symptom improvement in patients. Additionally, the investigator aim to elucidate the changes in gut microbiota phenotypes before and after treatment.
