NCT ID: NCT06146829 Completed - Clinical trials for Postoperative Acute Kidney Injury

Machine Learning Models for Prediction of Acute Kidney Injury After Noncardiac Surgery

Start date: November 27, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a common surgical complication characterized by a rapid decline in renal function. Patients with AKI are at an increased risk of developing chronic kidney disease and end-stage renal disease, which has been associated with an increased risk of morbidity, mortality and financial burdens. Identifying high-risk patients for postoperative AKI early can facilitate the development of preventive and therapeutic management strategies, and prediction models can be helpful in this regard. The goal of this retrospective study is to develop prediction models for postoperative AKI in noncardiac surgery using machine learning algorithms, and to simplify the models by including only preoperative variables or only important predictors.

NCT ID: NCT06145295 Completed - Ovarian Cancer Clinical Trials

The Effectiveness of an Online Support Group in Enhancing Recovery Identity and Health-Related Quality of Life

Start date: June 1, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Background Ovarian cancer poses challenges for middle-aged and older patients, impacting physical and self-conceptual aspects. A research gap exists on the impact of online support groups (SPs) on identity synthesis and Health-Related Quality of Life (HRQOL) for these patients. Objective To assess the feasibility and efficacy of an online SG in influencing recovery identity and HRQOL in middle-aged and older ovarian cancer patients (MDOCP). Method A four-week randomized controlled trial, followed by a three-month evaluation, was conducted, employing a mobile online SG and an offline SG both grounded in The Social Identity Model of Identity Change. Recovery identity, HRQOL, and participant engagement were utilized to evaluate the feasibility and efficacy of interventions.

NCT ID: NCT06144463 Completed - Septic Shock Clinical Trials

Lung Ultrasound-guided Fluid Resuscitation in Neonatal Septic Shock

LUGFRINSS
Start date: January 1, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

object name: Lung ultrasound-guided fluid resuscitation in neonatal septic shock. type of study: prospective observational study. goal of study: The effects of severe ultrasound-assisted fluid resuscitation and conventional fluid resuscitation on the prognosis of children with neonatal septic shock were compared to evaluate the application value of the two techniques in fluid resuscitation of neonatal septic shock. research design: In this study, children with neonatal septic shock diagnosed in the neonatal intensive care unit of the Second People 's Hospital of Guangdong Province from January 1,2022 to December 31,2023 were included in the population. According to the different monitoring methods used in conventional / clinical shock treatment, 30 cases of fluid resuscitation assisted by severe ultrasound, 30 cases of fluid resuscitation assisted by NICOM and 30 cases of conventional fluid resuscitation were collected, a total of 90 cases. ( 1 ) The demographic data, blood examination and microbiological examination data of the two groups at admission were collected. ( 2 ) The fluid volume, blood lactic acid, blood pressure, vasoactive drugs ( such as dopamine and epinephrine / norepinephrine ), mechanical ventilation, renal replacement therapy and antibiotic use were collected before fluid resuscitation. ( 3 ) The cumulative fluid infusion volume during fluid resuscitation ( 6 hours ), and the use of vasoactive drugs and mechanical ventilation for 6 hours were collected. ( 4 ) NICU hospitalization time, cumulative hospitalization time and mortality were collected. Data collection : ( 1 ) The demographic data, blood examination and microbiological examination data of the three groups at admission were collected. ( 2 ) The fluid volume, blood lactic acid, blood pressure, vasoactive drugs ( such as dopamine and adrenaline / norepinephrine ), mechanical ventilation, renal replacement therapy and antibiotic use before fluid resuscitation were collected.

NCT ID: NCT06143943 Completed - Clinical trials for Glaucoma, Angle-Closure

Anterior Segment Anatomic Parameters for Risk Profiling of Primary Angle-closure Glaucoma

Start date: November 22, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The goal of this observational study is to examine the anterior segment anatomical parameters associated with the scleral spur and cornea for risk profiling of primary angle-closure glaucoma (PACG). The main question it aims to answer is: • Are there new anatomical parameters of the anterior segment of the eye that can be used early for risk profiling for PACG? Researchers will compare PACG and narrow angle groups to see if there are some anatomical parameters that can distinguish the two.

NCT ID: NCT06143761 Completed - Oral Cancer Clinical Trials

Response to Neoadjuvant Chemoimmunotherapy in Resectable Locally Advanced Oral Cancer

HNC-SYSU-005
Start date: December 1, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The goal of this observational study is to investigate the effectiveness of neoadjuvant chemoimmunotherapy (NACI) regimens in treating advanced oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) patients. We analyzed clinicopathologic features of advanced OSCC patients who received PD-1 inhibitors in combination with carboplatin and paclitaxel before surgical tumor resection between 2020 and 2022. The Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors (RECIST, version 1.1) and pathologic response were used to evaluate the efficacy of the NACI treatment. Adverse events apparently related to NACI treatment were graded according to the Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events, version 4.0. Disease-free survival (DFS) and overall survival (OS) were calculated using the Kaplan-Meier survival curves and compared using the log rank test. Additionally, we calculated the area under curve (AUC) to compare the predictive value of PD-L1 expression with baseline serum lipid biomarkers for patient response.

NCT ID: NCT06143020 Completed - Postoperative Pain Clinical Trials

Effect of ESPB on Postoperative Pain in Patients With Breast Cancer Implant Reconstruction

Start date: November 20, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Nowadays, the incidence of breast cancer is the first number of malignant tumors, and the primary treatment method is surgery. With the development of medical technology and concept, radical mastectomy combined breast reconstruction are becoming more and more popular. But the reconstruction caused greater trauma and more severe postoperative pain.ESPB is a new nerve block method which thought to reduce pain after thoracic and breast surgery. However, there are few studies on radical mastectomy combined breast reconstruction. So, this randomized controlled study is conducted to explore its impact on postoperative pain and thus provide more data guidance for clinical.
