Septic arthritis (SA) of the native knee joint is rare but difficult to manage. Open or arthroscopic debridement is currently the most widely used approach. The problem is that there is a 71% and 50% chance of requiring revision surgery, respectively. Patients with recurrent sepsis may require arthrodesis or amputation, which would result in severe functional loss. Therefore, there is an urgent need to find more effective surgical procedures. Investigators developed a two-stage exchange with low-dose antibiotics for the treatment of SA and evaluated its efficacy.

TCM is an essential context of the ICH management in Chinese culture. Given the potential benefits of Chinese herbal medicine Zhongfengxingnao formula (ZFXN) in reducing haematoma and bleeding after acute intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) from fundamental research and small clinical studies, more reliable evidence is required to guide ICH treatment using TCM. This study is designed to evaluate the blinding and physical consistency between the investigational drug and placebo in RCT, taking the trial named Chinese herbal medicine in patients with acute intracerebral hemorrhage (CHAIN) as an example. Therefore the blinding of placebo as well as and physical consistency with investigated TCM in CHAIN trial will be determined. In addition, an assessment method for blinding and physical consistency could be developed for subsequent placebo evaluations.

Treatment of Angina Pectoris After Coronary Revascularization With Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine

This study used a multicenter, prospective cohort study. According to whether they received TCM treatment and the degree of exposure to TCM, the cohorts were divided into strong TCM exposure group, TCM exposure group, weak TCM exposure group and Western medicine exposure group. The first three groups received traditional Chinese medicine treatment combined with western medicine basic treatment, and the cumulative treatment time of traditional Chinese medicine reached 80%, 30%-79% or 30% of the total course of treatment, respectively. The fourth group received basic western medicine treatment alone. Among them, Chinese medicines (including Chinese patent medicines, Chinese medicine decoctions, Chinese medicine granules, and Chinese medicine injections) have been used and/or taken for a total of 5 months;
